Date of Scene: 23 August 2021
Location: Avengers Mansion - Front Yard
Synopsis: Vision gatekeeps Avengers Mansion successfully.
Cast of Characters: Vision, Pepper Potts

Vision has posed:
It is evening at Avengers Mansion, and for the moment Vision is outside. He is on the front lawn, apparently enjoying the view, as he gazes up at the stars as they start to peek out from the twilight of night. Of course, the android can 'see' the stars by linking into the various astronomical satellites around the world, but for now it appears he wants to use his local eyes.

As he floats, he moves slowly from side to side. Occasionally he closes one eye, opens it, and then closes the other. What he is up to is anyone's guess, but it seems to be keeping him occupied.

Pepper Potts has posed:
A dark colored sedan pulls up to Avenger's Mansion, the gate opening without a call to the house to alert those within. It moves slowly up the drive, stopping in front of the door, the headlights casting a beam on the manicured bushes. The driver's side door first opens, and a medium-built man in a somewhat messy suit exits the car, moving around to the back door, and after a second, opens it.

A woman in a business skirt suit emerges from the back of the vehicle, and nods, speaking softly to the other man before she looks to the house. There's no hint of apprehension; the redhead does look as if she is more than familliar with the area, with the house. So, with a nod to her driver, who moves back to the driver's side of the car and stands, she begins her path towards the house.

Vision has posed:
If Vision takes notice of the woman, he makes no sign of it as he continues to float, and sway gently from side to side. He is silent, so not being noticed by Pepper does not seem to be much of a surprise. As she passes within a few feet of him though, the Android does speak.

"I am sorry Ms. Potts, but you cannot enter Avengers Mansion at this time." Vision says, as his eyes remain affixed to the stars. "At least, not until you have given me a proper greeting." And then he looks down and smiles at her, "I do not know if Mr. Stark is here," he says in that British accent of his, "If that is who you are here to see."

Pepper Potts has posed:
Who looks up? Certainly not Pepper, in that as she *click*click* with heels on concrete, she starts when she hears what is, to her, a familiar voice?

"JAR--" but it can't be-

She does look up, and a hand rises to her chest and throat in quick surprise before she smiles, "I'm sorry.. Good evening." It sounds a relieved tone, too. Even the Mansion isn't inviolable.

"And no, I'm here to pick up some papers."

She's ceased her progress towards the door, noting his attention to the heavens. Squinting, she follows his gaze, "It's hard to see the sky in the City," she muses. "Even in the Tower. It's disappointing, because the shooting stars are beautiful this month."

Vision has posed:
"The shooting stars are quite beautiful, yes. But I am not looking at them at this time. There is a new algorithm that some scientists have developed at Columbia that I am testing to see how precise it is with my eyes. They claim that they can calculate parallax on distant stars with only a few meters distance between the two points using some advanced artificial intelligence processes. Since I am an advanced artificial intelligence, I volunteered my services to them." Vision explains.

He then glides a little out of the way at the comment about picking up papers, "That is quite alright then Ms. Potts. I hope you have a good evening getting what you require."

Pepper Potts has posed:
There are one, two in the sky, but most are lost to the light pollution that is New York City. Slowly, Pepper lowers her gaze once more to meet the man speaking, and she has //look// on her face; she's listening, completely understands that it is English that is being spoken, but the meaning?

"I see.. well, that is helpful." For what, she's not entirely certain, but there has to be purpose, yes?

Another smile is given, and she chuckles softly, pushing a wisp of hair to tuck it behind an ear. "I'm sorry. That explanation was a little lost on me, but hopefully something good will come of it." She's ready to head into the mansion, however, and she inclines her head, "Thank you.. and enjoy your evening. And, make sure you stop to watch the stars."

With that, Pepper takes the steps finally, and the door opens to her hand, courtesy of JARVIS.
