A What
Date of Scene: 01 September 2021
Location: A small Symkarian village
Synopsis: Hulk is rampaging in Eastern Europe. Atom Eve is sent by Cecil to stop him from stumbling into a terrorist group developing nuclear weapons that the DEO has under observation.
Cast of Characters: Bruce Banner, Eve Wilkins

Bruce Banner has posed:
It's somewhere in Eastern Europe. Far away from a broken, toppled city that the Hulk was trying to save than actively destroy. But being made to retreat caused him to slip the leash, and he's been rampaging ever since. The call went out, but the Avengers were simply too caught up with the evacuation to truly step in and put a stop to it. Besides, they usually just let the Hulk burn out on his own.

The town is small and mostly abandoned. A product of the Soviet years that was left deserted when the industry moved elsewhere. It was already falling apart, but now the Hulk tears through it like a child might through paper cutouts. An old, rusted car chassis is tossed several hundred feet into the air. The side of a house is torn away to reveal the dilapidated insides.

"GUH!" shouts the Hulk, stomping his feet, "AGH! STUPID ROBOT MAN!"

Eve Wilkins has posed:
The call from Robot had not gone at all how Eve Wilkins had expected. Arriving at the Teen Team's base hidden within one of the city's bridges, it had not been Robot waiting for her, but one Cecil Stedman of the DEO. The briefing had been, well, brief. A map with the path of destruction that the rampaging hulk had been on.

And ahead of him, a small facility where dissidents were working on constructing a nuclear weapon. All under the surveillance of the DEO, who were waiting to be able to identify the buyers before moving in. But should the Hulk make it that far and rain destruction, the area could be left irradiated for decades to come.

So it was that Eve had found herself teleported inside of Symkaria near the Hulk's last known position. She glances down at the bracelet Cecil had given her. "I don't suppose we can order a set of these for the Team," she mumbles to herself, before a glow of pink energy exudes from her feet and hands and she launches into the air. Soon she can be seen in the air above, closing in on a cloud of dust she sees. As if that wasn't enough to mark the spot, an old rusty car body goes flying past. "I think that's my guy," Atom Eve says as she dives towards the village below.

Bruce Banner has posed:
"STUPID! ROBOT! MAN"

The Hulk punctuates every word by slamming a rusted truck trailer into the ground, cracking and gouging the Earth with each blow. When it is twisted and shredded into unrecognizable scrap, he tosses it aside with a grunt and glares around for something else to break.

Peering up into the sky for a moment, he squints against the sun and up at the silhouette of Atom Eve. A look of confusion crosses his face before it quickly turns into anger.

"GO AWAY!" he lifts a barrel up from the ground beside him and heaves it at her like a baseball.

Eve Wilkins has posed:
Atom Eve banks and descends towards the large green figure that is easy enough to spot from the altitude she's at. Long before she's in conversational range, she sees that barrel get launched at her. The young heroine banks and throws up a pink wall of energy in front of her. The barrel slams against it and shatters it, but loses most of its velocity and it falls harmlessly into a field beneath her.

The redheaded hero lands about thirty feet away from the Hulk. "Hulk, my name is Atom Eve. You need to stop what you're doing. There is danger ahead, a lot of people can get hurt if you don't stop," she calls over to him. Seeing him up close she wonders if he isn't even bigger than Monster Girl when transformed. He's certainly more... well, hulking?

Bruce Banner has posed:
For what it's worth, the Hulk turns away from the direction he was traveling to face Atom Eve. He takes a few stomping steps towards her, thick brow furrowed, and head tilted to the side. He huffs and puffs, growling as he paces back and forth while sizing her up.

"NO!" he finally tells her defiantly, like an angry toddler, "ATUMMY LEAVE! NOTHING DANGEROUS TO HULK!"

Eve Wilkins has posed:
The teen superhero lets out a barely audible sigh. "You are going to owe me so much, Cecil," she murmurs to herself. Though there was no way when she heard the situation she was going to say.

And Cecil damn well knew it.

Atom Eve floats up into the air, the pink energy exuding from her hands and feet like a more feminine version of Iron Man's flight. "It isn't dangerous to Hulk. It's dangerous to everyone else. Please Hulk, let's go, there are people here that can be hurt," she says. The briefing said there weren't many people in this village, but that didn't mean none. And with the Hulk? She can't be sure a fight won't spill over into a more populated area near by.

She floats forward, offering a hand towards the Hulk. "Come on, let's go down to the Mediterranean and, do you like to swim? I bet you like to swim," she says, and realizing even as the words come out it sounds like she's trying to coax a misbehaving kid.

Bruce Banner has posed:
"Swim?"

This word isn't shouted, and the Hulk furrows his brows thoughtfully. He paces a little back and forth, occasionally reaching out to punch something or kick something into the next country over. But he doesn't continue to march in the direction he's going, instead he pauses to look up at Atom Eve again.

"Like swim," he admits, nodding his head faintly, "Ocean. Far away from stupid, puny people. Show Hulk ocean!"

Eve Wilkins has posed:
The breath that comes out this time is a sigh of relief. "Happily," Atom Eve call back to the Hulk. "It's just down..." she says, and glances up at the sun, figuring out which way is east and west. Which allows her to point south. "That away," she tells him. "Come on, I can take us down there."

She quickly tries to dredge up what she recalls from geography about what is on the Med south of Symkaria. Hopefully no major port cities. Well, they can avoid that when it's time.

Eve causes a bubble of energy to appear around the Hulk. It lets the air through still as she lifts him into the air with it, moving to fly alongside as she begins flying them down south at her top speed. The wind of their passage ripples through her red hair, and blows hard against the Hulk.

Bruce Banner has posed:
"Hulk not flyer," he grumbles through the bubble, pushing it experimentally with his hands but not with enough force to break or damage it, "Hulk jump! Atummy land soon! Hulk want swim!"

And that's pretty much all she'll hear. All the way towards the coast. All the way to the water. But hey, at least he's not smashing things.
