Unsolicited housemates
Date of Scene: 21 September 2021
Location: 6B - Elektra's Condo
Synopsis: June and Colleen have a case of mutually mistaken identity.
Cast of Characters: Colleen Wing, June Connor

Colleen Wing has posed:
Evening at the Hote de Elektra. At least that is what it has been recently like. It would appear that the assassin does have a heart after all and has opened her doors to all sorts of strays in need. Well, in Colleen's case it was more of the fact that her dojo was burned down by a certain faction whom she had managed to royally piss off. In her mind it was only temporary, a woman with pride and not wishing to impose, but clearly while here she had made herself quite at home in the dwelling of her good friend.

"Are you frigging kidding me! You stupid bitch. Are you even here for love? You're going to throw away what you have with Jace for that guy on steroids who clearly has a small..." She stops herself and puts another spoonful of the mochi ice cream into her mouth before continuing her rant over Bacherlor's in Paradise. "Big mistake girl big mistake."

Yes, Colleeen Wing has clearly found herself a moment of comfort, sweat pants, barefoot and a "Hello Kitty" t-shirt, her hair in a messy ponytail. Afterall, nobody was home and Elektra was not do back for a bit...may as well go full on trainwreck.

June Connor has posed:
June is unreliable. Nobody that knows her needs to be told that. One day she might be dead in a gutter, and Elektra probably wouldn't even realize there was a problem til day three, since she is known to not show up on some nights. Who knows what she's doing, really? It's probably a bad idea, though. It's not as if she has a high profile in the condo. She has one duffle bag of clothes, which she just happened to tidy up before leaving for once the other day. By tidy we mean she stuck all of her stuff in the duffle bag instead of having them strewn all over the room, clean or not.

She steps into the entryway, hearing the TV and someone talking to it. "What the fuck?" June whispers to herself. She has a vanilla envelope in hand, and she tucks it into the back of her pants before retrieving a kunai. Elektra doesn't watch TV, or at least, June's never SEEN her watch TV. She takes a ready pose with the kunai, not an unfamiliar one to people in the Hand. Her appearance is more like a thug that mugs someone in a back alley, though. Purple hair drifts down from her half-shaved head, piercings in her eyebrows, nose, and ears. She wears a denim vest with a sports bra beneath it and shredded pants. Not exactly ninja garb. Except one thing that might stand out. A red tattoo on her left shoulder. A tattoo of a hand.

"Who the fuck are you?" She asks as she enters in her ready pose into the main room. The intruder is...wearing a Hello Kitty shirt?

Colleen Wing has posed:
Colleen had heard the door and assumed it was Elektra. Yet, she was not going to call out to her. Why start a conversation in the middle of Bachelor's in Paradise. No, Elektra would be greeted during a commercial break. Priorities, right? Yet when the young girl makes her appearance in the doorway and expresses her ever so polite greeting, the Sensei's head snaps to the left, her eyes going wide and immediatly perching herself up into a squatted position on the couch and extending the icecream spoon as an apparent weapon. Oh yes, defending herself with a spoon?

Her eyes blink a few times, trying to take in what truly now stands before her. She is tryin got make sense of it, but for some reason her brain cannot wrap around while a young kid was now standing in Elektra's living room with a Kunai drawn on her. It is then that she notices the red hand on the girl's shoulder and a small smile comes to her lips, tho it is a smile of: Now this is going to be fun. "Are they that desperate that they have sent a child now? Clearly the Hands recruiting efforts have fallen on hard times."

Colleen slowly steps off the couch with a gentle grace of a martial artist and stands before the young girl, hands out to the side as if to not infer any aggression. "Your target is not here. And clearly they must put a lot of faith in your skills if they sent you alone." She drops the spoon to the floor with a small /clang/ and takes another small step forward waving a dismissive hand to the young girl with a hand. "Sorry to disappoint you. Run along now. You're breaking curfew."

She continues to walk towards the young girl, but in a defensive position with her hands. "You don't belong here."

June Connor has posed:
If June stopped to think about what was being said closely, she might have understood what was said to not jive with her presumption of an enemy. June didn't think that hard about it. "Where is she bitch?" she asks. "I ain't leavin', but you aren't either til you talk." She doesn't waste any more words. After all, Colleen doesn't seem dressed for the occasion. She charges, the Kunai sliding from her hand, toward the chest as June leaps into a slide low, anticipating a dodge of the small projectile so that she can trip her to the ground.

Colleen Wing has posed:
Well that escalted quickly. There is a visible sigh when Colleen realozes that her little night of trash tv and mochi ice cream was now ruined by someone from the Hand who is more than likely trying to earn her "wings". "I was not planning on leaving so..." And then the young girl lunges forward with the blade. Her eyes are focused on the blade hand and the low slide, and despite her efforts she only manages to half-avoid the trip attempt by June, buckling her leg behind her knee and dropping her to a kneeling posiition with a small wince, her forearm parrying ay the lunge with the weapon. "Clever. I'll feel that tomorrow."

The Senseia then spins away from her knelt position to get some distance, pivoting on her knee and puts her hands in front of her, fingers bent in a strike formation. "Care to try again?" Is the Spider baiting the fly?

June Connor has posed:
June has the energy of youth on her side, if not the technical skill of experience. As Colleen spins away, it's well timed as June spins on one foot a roundhouse kick executed from a horizontal position, missing to strike the floor. She catches with her hands to prevent herself from landing face first on the ground and finds herself in a pushup position, then kips up by shoving with her hands and kicking off for a double fisted punch. A truly powerful attack. Also one that leaves her horribly vulnerable if it doesn't connect.

Colleen Wing has posed:
Impressive. The young girl's roundhouse and ability to catch herself only to put herself into an attack once more has Colleen wide-eyed. Hse is an aggressive little thing. Reckless a bit, yet clearly dangerous.

As the young girl lunges forward in the low position with her fists exrtended, Colleen reaches out and grips her wrists, rocking back and throwing her feet into June's stomach; an attempt to flip her up and over her. If successful, the Pinky of the Hand may find herself headed for the couch behind Colleen."

June Connor has posed:
June is clearly surprised. She probably shouldn't be. It was a careless strike, and as she's monkey-flipped into the couch, she strikes the back hard enough for the whole thing to topple backward as she sprawls across the floor on the other side. She's quick to roll up to her feet. She bounces like a boxer, probably not a thing she was taught in the Hand. "Okay, kitty. So you're not all ice cream and bad TV," she admits. She pulls one of the large couch cushions off the couch, gripping it in both hands. A pillow fight? Odd choice of weapon perhaps.

Colleen Wing has posed:
As June is sent on Air Colleen over the Couch to a land far far away, COlleen takes the chance to sprawl back to her feet, bouncing on her toes and raising a hand to brush a strand of tossled hair away from her face. There is a small grin on her face at the ambition and zest of this kid, and when she eyes the couch cushion weaponry she cannot help but to laugh with her words. "Oh little mouse. Chosen the defensive?"

Running towards June now, Collen runs up one side of the flipped couch and springs into the air with a palm strike to the cushion. It clearly is met with a "cushioning" effect, but is followed up by a few more rapid strikes to the cushion as if treating it like a punching bag. "Come out of your hole little mouse."

June Connor has posed:
June two fists the cushion to prevent the attacks, dancing backward at first before suddenly lunching forward. The flat surface shifts at once so that the next puch will deflect off the pillow, and it slides forward up Colleen's shoulder in an attempt to throw her forward and off balance, while at the same time June' opposite foot comes forward and up, trying to deliver a diaphram strike.

Colleen Wing has posed:
That was most certainly unexpected. Colleen truly suspected the young girl to hide behind the pillow for at least a few more strikes. She is thrown off balance, June's attempt to do so being successful and the foot strike to her diaphram finds its mark and it is her turn to go back over the couch from whence she just came. She crumbled. Oh she crumbled. Nothing graceful about it. No perfect backwards roll over the couch to a standing position. Nope. Ass over tea kettle and it is on her back clutching her chest on the floor and stating up at the cieling a moment is where she finds herself.

"What the fuck." A soft word half mumbled and half-groaned. She totally got caught off guard with that one and the air has not fully returned to her lungs. Her palms slam to the floor in anger, more so at herself and she scrambles back to her feet, shaking her head to clear the fog. "Alright Dumpster Diva. Lesson's over." She just starts walking towatds the girl now with purpose.

June Connor has posed:
"Yeah, keep up with the quips," June snarls. To her it's not such a light game. She makes her approach steadily as well. "I'll fuckin' end you." She seems to abandon the proper ninja technique, and instead there's a certain brawler nature that comes over her. She starts throwing punches, knees, elbows, trying to use the oxygen advantage she has over Colleen to beat the older woman into submission. Hardly an efficient use of her energy, but she's brutally aggressive. And once again, horribly lacking in her defense, leaving herself open to strikes of someone who is skilled enough to know how and where to hit.

Colleen Wing has posed:
Ah the brash attack of someone unable to control their anger. Yet, the attack is extremely unorthodox and Colleen finds herself parrying and on the defensive for a bit. Every strike to her forearms as she blocks will certainly leave a bruise. Her legs raised to stop the knee attacks, find extreme pain finding the muscle of her thighs. It is a flurry. A torndado of strikes, and Colleen is dong what she can to ride it out. June has to get tired at some point right? The strikes from June are not necissarily landing, but they are finding their mark in Collen's defense. A covering up with her arms in front of her face.

It is towards the end of the flurry that Colleen parries a fist strike, leaning it to lightly tap June's left cheek. Then another parry, another soft slap to her right cheek. "Are you done?" It is clear that Colleen does not wish to harm the girl who actually did try to kill her a few moments before, but more or less contain her. She then leans in and shifts her weight, trying to hip toss the girl to the floor.

June Connor has posed:
The taunting slap and light strike seem to just infuriate June, they don't show her that she's outlcassed, despite the fact that she may seem on the surface to be doing well. It's plenty of frustration to give a clear opening for the hip throw. June tries to catch herself, pushing away as she's thrown, but she only succeeds in clearing herself back, slamming into the bookshelf and then collapsing to the floor. Her head catches one of the shelves, and a rather expensive looking vase is catapulted airborne between herself and Colleen. "Oh shit."

June forces herself awkwardly forward, desperately diving to get herself underneath the fragile ornament.

Colleen Wing has posed:
Frustration. A wonderful tool to use in order to throw your adversary off their game. It clearly worked and when June is catapulted into the shelf, Colleen spins back around to see the young girl hit the shelf. However, it is not the young girl that draws her attention. It is the prized vase from some country in the far east, once owned by some family of importance, past down through generations that Elektra was either given or got on some late night Home Shopping Network binger.

Change of plane. Fight over. Save the vase. Collen runs and dives as well, trying to get to the vase before it shatters and she has to handle the Wrath of Elektra (It's a thing).

Throwing herself forward she finds herself catching it at the same time as the lunging June, each of them with a hand on it inches from the floor. She struck the floor hard, nothing to comfort her fall, and her eyes go to the other young girl as she blows hair away from her face. "That...was...close." All signs of aggression for some reason vanishing in that instant. "You didn't come here to kill her did you?"

June Connor has posed:
June lands flat on her belly as well, nose to nose with Colleen. Her green eyes narrow, too close to truly be able to focus on her. "Kill her? I thought you came to kill her." Her breath has the very distinct scent of marijuana on it. "Who the fuck are you?" she asks again, this time with a tone of true confusion rather than accusation.

Colleen Wing has posed:
Colleen winces as she speaks, the smell of marijuna present and clearly a little much that close to her. Still upon her stomach she makes a move with June agreeing to lower the vase to the floor carefully. "Kill Elektra? Don;t get me wrong I have got her into many...okay many situations where she could have been killed. Like a lot." She pauses a moment and self-reflects. "Shit I am a terrible friend." She shakes her head to come back to reality. "But...but I owuld never try to kill her. And honestly? If I was trying to kill her would I be sitting on her couch in a "Hello Kitty" t-shirt eating chinese ice cream?"

It is then that a lightbulb goes off in her head. "Holy shit..you'e June." She stammers. "I was listening when she mentioned you, but I was  giving a bad name to egg chefs everywhere and...I...I am so sorry."

June Connor has posed:
June lowers the vase harmlessly to the ground with Colleen, still laying uncomfortably close. Her eyes roll as Colleen self-reflects on her whole relationship with Elektra. Not what she asked. It is a good point that she was not exactly dressed to kill, in a literal or metaphorical sense.

When it's revealed that she knows who June is, she lets out an audible sigh, and pushes herself up to a sitting position, rubbing the back of her head where she hit the shelf. "Okay, yeah, I'm June," she says with a tone a little grumpy for someone her age. "But who. The fuck. Are you? Her girlfriend or somethin'?"

Colleen Wing has posed:
Sitting. Yes that would be a good thing to do. Colleen moves herself into a seated position as well, rubbing a hand ove rher diaphram where the girl had landed the kick. "I'll give you credit, you kick hard." She eyes June a moment, moving to a kneeling position and leans forwars to check out the girl's head, the motherly and caring side of Colleen showing. "No, not her girlfriend. A good friend. We get one another."

If allowed she tries to peer at the back of the girls head, leaning in a bit more to check for any open wound or blood. "It's complicated sometimes. Blah blah blah, the Hand. Oh did I drag you into this? I am so sorry type stuff." She takes a hand and pulls her hair back over her shoulders. "I used to own a Dojo down in Chinatown. I lived there. Well not in the Dojo, a small apartment area in the back. I recently did something that upset someone pretty badly. Oh it was a good thing, but they were not happy." It is clear she is not tossing names out right now." So they burned my place down as a warning or maybe trying to kill me. So, right now I am what I like to call in transition. And Elektra is letting me stay here when I need it until I figure it all out again."

June Connor has posed:
June doesn't seem interested in the cooperation of having her head checked, not moving to make it easier for Colleen to check it. "Yeah, diaphrams don't like getting kicked," she says smugly, unaware that Colleen has training significantly superior to her own. "Oh wait..." she puts it together. "You're the one that Jessica and Elektra were talkin' about," she says. "I remember your name now. It's...um, Collen. Colleen. So...guess we all get to be on the Hand's shitlist together. If they were smart they'd just fire an RPG into this place and take us all out." Which, while not discrete, might actually be a very effective way to handle the three of them all at once. "They like killing people, I noticed."

Colleen Wing has posed:
Had she forgotten to introduce herself. Yes, yes she had, but she does confirm. "Yeah. Colleen and being on the Hands shitlist is what I do best. It's kind of my hobby. You know, wake up, get some coffee...figure out more ways to send the Hand into panic mode." She sense the girl is not going to like being checked out and relents, no major blood dripping on the floor and all. "I used to work for them. Recruited for them. Trained new recruits. Long story short...I don't anymore and they did not take to kindly to that. It's a little more to it than that. Try to kill me one day, try to get me back the next. Make it interesting."

She eyes the young girl carefully and exhales softly. "Look kid, I don't know how the hell you got wrapped up into the Hand. Well okay I do, but..." Her hand waves in a dismissiv e manner again. "But, if you are on their shitlist...right here is the safest place for you. Elektra brought you here for a reason. And whatever that reason is...well no I feel obligated to protect you. Thanks for that extra burden." She leans in to shoulder nudge the young girl.

June Connor has posed:
"Yeah, well, Elektra put me on their shitlist to begin with," June comments dryly. "Wait wait, you're one of the recruiters?" She narrows her eyes. "So what did Elektra do to sucker you in? Same shit as me? 'Oh, it's just another mission' and pow! Suddenly you got the people who are supposed to be on your side tryin' to stick knives in your back." June didn't exactly get a choice on leaving the Hand.

Colleen Wing has posed:
Colleen leans back more casual now, resting on her arms and extending her barefeet out past June. "Well I was. And to be honest she did not have much to do with that side of things with me. Our relationship is more recent as it were. I left completely on my decision and that made things interesting for a while." She stops talking for a moment and wiggles her toes as she thinks of her words. "Elektra had nothing to do with my departure. That was someone else., but my decision in the end." SHe tilts her head to the sidem her hair faling to her shoulder once more. "Sometimes loyalty only goes so far and then yoyr conscience takes over."

June Connor has posed:
June smirks. "Yeah, well most of the world doesn't seem to have a problem following their conscience. Or else their conscience is less Jiminy Cricket and more. You know, Satan." She stands up, rather than sit and smell feet, and walks over to the couch cushion, picking it up and continuing on to the knocked over couch. "Any hints on how to get the fuck off their list? Oh queen of getting on it?"

Colleen Wing has posed:
"Well I see three ways. Two of which are less likely to actually be the path to take. One: Stop getting into their business. Let them do what they want to do and let it happen. Let them put their hands quite literally in every aspect of the city. Two: Go back to them and prove your loyalty all over again. Which would include most certainly proving your loyalty at the demise of those who assisted you. Three: Kepe fighting until they choose to remove you from their list, which will never happen, or wipe them out compltely." She then stands to help pick up the room, placing the vase back on the shelf as she keeps talking. "So in other words. No. Not easily. They do not like to look the fool. And former members who do that are not tolerated. I know for a fact, or at least I think...Bakuto would take me back if I proved my loyalty to his liking. Not happening."

June Connor has posed:
"Don't forget dying. That could work," June comments. She lets out a sigh as she pulls up on the back of the couch, which flop and scoots a few inches across the wood floor. She drops the cushion where it came from, and then hops over the back, stepping on it with her sneaker to reseat the cushion. Which of course leaves a footprint. Probably not the most prudent way to do it. She steps down to the floor again. "Bakuto? Like. THE Bakuto? That guy is scary as hell, never actually talked to him. He reviewed us once in training. Thought he'd fuckin' kill me," she says.

Colleen Wing has posed:
Colleen cntinues to move about the living room as she speaks, making sure it looks like Eektra left it. Oh is that ice cream on the floor? "Yeah Bakuto. He was my Sensei. I mean I suspect technically he still is. Well no. He trained me for a while and like I mentioned gave me the dojo to assist his longterm plans." She pauses and directlylooks to June. "Yeah scary guy. Not fun to be on his bad side. Yet to be honest, I think if he wanted to kill me he would have done so by now." She shrugs and exhales. "Like I saidm its complicated."

June Connor has posed:
"Complicated." June looks away, arching an eyebrow, then looks back. "Sounds like you were fucking him," she accuses with a mirthful smile as she heads back to the kitchen to grab the roll of paper towels. She pitches it across the condo toward Colleen, waiting to see if she denies it.

Colleen Wing has posed:
Collen wrinkles her nose and makes a disgusted sound. "Um no. Not at all. Not..at...all." She catches the paper towels and starts to clean up some of the icecream that had got on the floor. "There is a certain loyatly to your Sensei. You may not understand that. It;s an honor thing."

June Connor has posed:
June shrugs. "You're right," she says, accepting the analysis. "I wouldn't. Honor seems to just be a word to control people. Bullshit to get you to do things you don't want to do for someone you don't want to do them for. Honor's not real." There's a certain edge to the statement, as if she's angry that it's not real.

Colleen Wing has posed:
Colleen takes what the young girl says to heart, truly listening. Afterall, she has worked with some of the rougher kids in the city at her dojo and if ther eis one thing she had learned, it was not wise to denounce what someone says, for they have a reason for thinking that way. "Can I make a deal with you? If what I say is right, you will at least not deny it. You do not have to admit it."

She studies the girl a moment and then simply says. "I know the type. Young kid. An upbringing for whatever reason denied them of any affection. Seeking a place to fit in. A sense of worth. A sense of security. Some normalcy." She moves to toss the paper towels in the trash, padding her way across the floor. "Tough on the outside cuz they need to be, nobody else is going to protect them. But deep down there is some hope that one day they can just stop worrying." She shrugs again. "I mean I could be completely off. I have just seen kids like you. Trained them."

June Connor has posed:
June narrows her eyes, she doesn't like being analyzed. "Fuck off. You think you know me because you've met other people you can Freud the shit out of?" she asks, her tone hostile. "I don't know you. I met you like five minutes ago, and we were beating the shit out of each other for the first four. Think you're some fuckin' superhero think they swoop in and save the day, make poor little June all better because you got it all figured out." She steps across the room, looking like she has a new reason to punch Colleen. "You don't fix me." She slaps her chest once, hard. "I'm not some pet project for you, or for Elektra, or any of the 'defenders' I hear all this shit about. I'm here because I have to be so I don't die." She turns and starts walking back toward the hall, and to her room.

Colleen Wing has posed:
The entire time June confronted Colleen on her analysis, Colleen simply stood there stoic face and silent. She was not going to interrupt the girl in her angry tirade. No. It was a tirade that needed to be had. When the girl turns and makes her way pff to the room, Collen reaches down and picks up a throw pillow still on the floor, setting it down gently on the couch. Her eyes dart to the now closed door down the hall as she softly murmurs. "Fix you? No. Right now this is exactly how I need you."
