Harper Row has posed:
It's the middle of the work day on Friday, the twenty-fourth of September, just after 1pm in the afternoon. Harper's returned from lunch and is just settling down to her work when her phone beeps.

"Hello?" she says as she answers the phone. From the other end her boss says, "Row, come to my office, there's someone here wanting to talk with you."

So much for the work she was starting, though there's hope she'll be able to get back to it before to late in the afternoon. Harper stands and straightens the wrinkles out of her shirt before heading to the boss' office. She's told to go right on in by the receptionist who was obviously expecting her.

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
Within the office relaxing in one of the comfy leather guest chairs that face the desk is perhaps the last sort of person one would expect, teenaged young women don't generally have a lot of business at the city electrical engineering office after all. Perhaps sixteen or seventeen with brown hair in a chin length bob cut and dressed like the fashion-child of Janet van Dyne and Vivienne Westwood, she's wearing a black T-shirt that reads 'Just a G.I.R.L. who loves Wasps' in stylized pink lettering, a short pleated red and black plaid skirt trimmed with black lace, and a pair of black leather stompy boots that lace up to her knees. Over the T-shirt is also a purple and pink bomber jacket with the G.I.R.L. logo on the back, all in all it is a far cry from any sort of business attire. Which really is kind of to be expected, she's a teenager. But the real question, what is such a teenager doing in Harper's bosses office?

Upon closer inspection one might even recognize her as a face often seen when the Titans or Avengers are featured in the news. Nadia 'Waspette' Pym-van Dyne, daughter of Hank Pym and adopted step-daughter of Janet van Dyne, sidekick to The Wasp, heir apparent to Pym Technologies, sometimes SHIELD consultant, and more recently founder of the all female tech collective Genius In action Research Laboratories or GIRL. She seems a bit a smaller in person.

"So, as I was saying I just need your signature on all three copies of these forms, so the City Council and Wayne Foundation can have them for their records as well. Believe me, I understand how you feel, I hate paperwork too." If nothing else the girl in the chair can certainly talk, a lot. "And then I need to talk to Ms. Row. She's on her way? Great. I want her to be the coordinator for this project from your office. I took the liberty of examining everyone's credentials, yes yours included, and she's the one I want, sorry." Nadia smiles brightly at Harper's boss in her usual disarming manner.

Harper Row has posed:
Harper enters the office just after her boss was told that he's being bypassed for his underling. His expression shows how glad he is at that timing but he hides that quickly as he stands and says, "Miss Row, this is Ms. Pym-van Dyne," to her and then, addressing his guest, he says, "Nadia, this is Miss Harper Row," to introduce them to each other.

Harper, for her part, noticed the guest but didn't really look in Nadia's direction until she's introduced. She then stiffens slightly as she suppresses her excitement. Relaxing after a moment she smiles at the other young woman and says, "Good afternoon, Ms. Pym-van Dyne," to greet the Titanic Avenger.

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
When Harper's boss introduces them, Nadia rises from the chair she was sitting in and offers her hand with a bright smile and the enthusiasm of someone for whom handshakes are still new and interesting. "Pleased to meet you Harper! Please, just Nadia is fine." Well the formalities sure evaporated fast.

"Should we use this space? Or is there another place I can use for this interview?" Nadia asks Harper's boss. "I would prefer it be just us if that's okay?" All but telling the man to get out of his own office. Janet's social acumen seems to be rubbing off on her, for good or ill.

Harper Row has posed:
Harper's boss clears his throat and says, "I... *ahem* I guess you can use my office." He suggests, "Fifteen minutes?" and at a questionimg glance from Nadia he corrects himself saying, "Just let Patty," (His receptionist who Harper knows well and Nadia was introduced to on the way in to the office) "know when you're done with the room I guess." He then awkwardly departs his office leaving the two young women to speak in private.

Harper looks a bit confused at the interaction between the two and remains standing as her boss leaves. After the door closes she says, "Interview?" to express her confusion verbally as she looks to the younger Nadia for clarification.

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
"Ever want to sit in your bosses chair?" Nadia asks Harper conspiritorially once the man has left the room. "If you do, this is your chance." She winks showing a mischievous streak before flopping back down in her previous chair, any trace of formalities gone. "So, there is a partnership that has been worked out between the City Council, the Wayne Foundation, and Pym Technologies for the latter to upgrade and modernize the Gotham power grid and as the representative of Pym Technologies, I want you to take point on the city's end of things. But that's already decided. Unless you don't want to I mean. I'm pretty sure your boss would jump at the chance, but honestly I don't really want to work with him, I want to work with you. You're the reason I'm here." She pauses to let that sink in.

"Last year I started a new lab initiative called Genius In action Research Laboratories or GIRL for short. We promote women in STEM and give young girls female role models to look up to in what's otherwise mostly an old boys club. We're trying to change things, change the world for the better through the work of our members. Sometimes some of our members do some heroing too and deal with the super science challenges of our age, I swear if aliens don't stop invading..." She looks up at the ceiling and shakes a fist at the heavens for a moment rather dramatically. "Anyway, one of the things I do is scout talent to join and Harper, I've read your file, I've looked at your work, I want you to join us."

Harper Row has posed:
Harper looks at her boss' chair and shakes her head. "I'll pass on that," she says. As she takes the other guest seat on the front side of the guest, opposite the one Nadia is in, she explains, "Hasn't been long enough for the temperature to return to room temperature," exposing one of her little idiosyncrasies to the other woman.

"I'm honored and," no hesitation here, "I totally accept." Harper's face melts into a grin as GIRL is explained to her and she, very politely, says, "You don' thave to explain or sell GIRL to me, I'm well aware of it. Glad to see you're moving into Gotham. So... maybe a bit late, but this'll be folded into my current duties or will I have to add it onto what he," she does a subtle nod towars the empty desk, "Assigns me normally?" After all, with the City Council involved this is obviously an official position... but there's her side projects to consider as well.

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
Nadia pauses, "Sorry! Let me clarify, two seperate things here. The agreement to modernize the power grid isn't related to GIRL, that was something arranged through Pym Technologies with Wayne Foundation funding and the approval of the City Council. Coordinating that is what you'll be doing here. I manipulated that deal to get in here so I could invite you to join GIRL, completely seperate thing to focus on and realize your own projects when you're not working here."

Harper Row has posed:
Harper ohs and smiles. "That sounds wonderful actually," she replies as thoughts of cutting edge technology flash though her mind and the smiles further. She grins as she says, "Sounds like a back-door promotion which likely sticks in his craw," with another tilt of her head toward her boss' desk. "Totes accept the offer," she says reiterating her earlier comment and sticks a hand out to shake on it.

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
"Awesome! Glad to hear it!" Nadia smiles as she rises from the chair. "Then just come to the Pym Technologies campus whenever you're ready. The GIRL building has a giant logo on it, kind of hard to miss. We can do a tour and things when you do, find you some lab space etc."

She glances towards the doorway, "Anyway, I should go deal with your boss and get those papers before he gets too annoyed about all of this."

Harper Row has posed:
"Pym Technologies campus," Harper repeats with a slight sense of awe on her voice. "I can grab the Hyperloop and get there, sure. Is that a weekend option or will I need to take some time off to do that?" She doesn't sound concerned about that, she's got time to spare to make it work for her after all.

Harper stands and says, "I souldn't tie you up anymore then," and pauses a moment before excitedly saying, "Thank you!" about the offer again.

Nadia Pym-van Dyne has posed:
Nadia laughs pausing near the door. "We don't really do regular hours, but there's usually someone there and if not the support staff can let you and get in touch with me or another member. Shuri is often around if she isn't needed at the embassy. But really any time is an option. We can make it work." She gives another wave before slipping out the door, leaving Harper standing in her bosses office to think about what just happened.
