A Bee in the Garden
Date of Scene: 16 October 2021
Location: The Gardens
Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Clarice Ferguson, Dyani Zitkala

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
With things beginning to settle down again, Clarice eyes her text from Dyani, and gives a shrug of her shoulders. She can make time. Typing slowly into her phone, she simply asks, 'Want to see the (satellite emoji, house emoji)?' The response was predictably enthusiastic, prompting a smile of amusement from the magenta hued mutant, who heads down to New York to retrieve her oft-forgotten and neglected littlest sister.
Of course they emerge into the Asteroid's garden - in a remote corner where no people are likely to run afoul of her portal as the pair emerges. "Welcome to the Asteroid. I should've brought you up sooner, really."

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Dyani is buzzing around outside the high school when Clarice arrives, which permits her to zip right over and hug Clarice the minute she appears. The response had been a number of emojis that mean absolutely nothing, and numerous exclamation points after the word yes.

Once the portal appears Dyani bursts into a giggle, and immediately send bees through first then she darts up into the air and dive bombs through the portal. Probably a good thing it was the garden, because she shoots way past what a normal room would be to get stopped.

"Holy smokes!" she nearly screams once she gets stopped, looking around. She remembered Madison talking about squirrels and other wildlife in this room, but none of that mattered cause, "LOOK AT ALL THOSE STARS!" Never mind the earth being /right/ there.

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"We can see a lot more of them up here," Clarice agrees with an amused smile as she steps through - letting the portal blink closed behind her. Dyani's excitement and enthusiasm is contageous, and she wears a broad smile as she watches the girl flit around above her head. It was undeniably wonderful to see someone so happy, and relaxed. It was- hell, it was therapeutic. "Hey - do your bees like fennel flowers?" she asks conversationally, as she walks towards the garden. She reaches out - plucking one of the sprays of blooms off the plant, and putting the stem in her mouth to chew on. It's something she does often now when she visits the garden - along with sending a brief thought out to the father she knows can't hear her.
Hey dad. Still miss you. Theo and I are managing, though.

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Dyani first flies up to press herself against the thick dome and look at the stars are close as she can get, then she zips back down in time to hear Clarice's question. As she goes up however, all the bees that came with her go in every direction they can, and that is a lot of directions.

"What is fennel?" She asks as she lands beside Clarice, looking at the flower in her hand and then she ate the stem and that makes the girl blink. "Why did you eat the stem?" She then asks, tilting her head.

Having seen the flower in Clarice's hand, the bees are already looking for that flower in the garden, after all if she had no idea what fennel was, they didn't either and who knows, maybe there is a flower that bees don't like.

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"This is fennel," Clarice says in amusement - touching the tall plant with its wispy leaves and sprays of yellow blossoms. "You can use the bulb in cooking. It's something that- well, when I was little, and would go to the beach with my family, I'd go on walks with my dad and he'd pluck these flowers, and we'd both chew on them, and walk, and talk. It's silly, but it made me feel very grown-up, to be doing something just like my dad. I was like... only four years old, though." She plucks one of the flowers, and offers it over to Dyani adding, "It tastes just like licorice."

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
A sniff is given first, just like the bees are doing at the flowers. Although Dyani's nose works a little different, it is also kind of the same. The flowers doesn't smell like anything specific, so she finally takes it from Clarice and bites the stem. While chewing she says, "Our human father took us walking in the forest, we would chew on honey suckle... this is very much like licorice, without the sugar." She keeps chewing, trying to find out if it gets better, not that its bad, just different.

"The bees like it," she finally says, then swallows. "That is very unique, but it needs more sugar."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"Well - it doesn't have much if any sugar at all." Clarice smiles a bit wryly as she adds, "To be honest, I'm not particularly fond of the taste but it makes me happy anyways, so..." So she keeps the flowers around - and chews on the stems when she visits the garden. It was just her own little ritual - a way to connect to her family, and her past.
"We don't have much of a forest up here - but there's a little stand of trees over there," she remarks, nodding her head. "And we have the pond, with the stream, and the koi fish. It's nice to come up here just to relax sometimes.
"What does honey suckle taste like?" she asks curiously.

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Starting to hover again as once more she starts to look around, Dyani smiles great big. "Mads said there are squirrels up here, in the trees... and there's the trees!" She seems overly excited about trees, then again she's overly excited about everything. "Honey suckle /almost/ tastes like honey, perhaps leaning more toward sugar and flowery, like wild flower honey that is slightly watered down," she answers, then zip over to the pond.

"Those are huge fish!" she screams over to Clarice, so she is certain she can heard, and then she's zipping toward the forest. The girl can enjoy the garden as near mach speeds apparently, and now she's on a search for squirrels. "We met Theo and Pete!" she then screams, making finding a squirrel damn near impossible, but that doesn't stop her. "They are really nice, and Pete makes really good cookies!"

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"I'd like to try it some day," Clarice remarks, walking in Dyani's wake, still with the stem in her mouth. She continues to chew on the stem idly as she joins the girl beside the pond, looking down into its depths. "Pretty big, yeah. And they're all named. Sort of. This one's Lord Scaley-Bottom, and that's Herald Luke. That Five, that one's- well, One. And Lady Squiggles, and... Darth Splish-Splash, something or other the Eighth, 'Lord of the Pond.' Aaaand.... I don't see Miss Bubbles, or Seven right now. Hrm. But that one's Four."
Then in a teasingly aggrieved tone she adds, "Pete didn't bring me any cookies! That is //so// unfair." She smiles, however, to remove any possible sting.

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Dyani darts back over to the lake and lands, watching at Clarice points out fish and their names. "Those are very strange names Clarice," she offers matter-a-factly. "Why do the fish have such odd names? Who named them? Whose fish are they? Why are there fish in space?"

Turning her head she starts following the stream as far as she can see and squeaks out, "There is one over there!" She has no idea which one it is, but she looks back to Clarice. "We can find you some honey suckle, or get our human mother to send a honey suckle plant. Bees /love/ honey suckle, even before they become bees." She giggles at her own joke.

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"Well - I named Lord Scaley-Bottom. Mostly just to annoy Raven a little. I mean - Mystique. They're her fish. I believe Lydia named Miss Bubbles, and Rahne named Herald Luke - because of course she did." Moving towards the false rock - she pulls it open, taking out just a few of the fish pellets, some of which she offers to Dyani. "Not sure who named the other two, actually," she admits. "We don't want to overfeed these guys though - it's not their meal time yet." She tosses a few in, following Dyani's gaze towards the other fish. "Ah, that's Seven."

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Dyani accepts the tidbits for the fish, then moves over to toss a few to Seven before the rest go into the lake for the mass of fish. Then she pulls out her phone to look up koi fish and read about them, then phone goes back into pocket. "They get bigger by the amount of space they are allowed to have and the food they are given," she offers now all knowing. "So yes, we do not over feed them. They are really silly names, but why is that one Seven? Is she named after the lady Borg from Star Trek: Voyager? Seven of Nine?"

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
Clarice suddenly snaps her fingers. "I think Theo named Squiggles! I think he was trying to torture poor Raven, too. We have too much in common, actually," she remarks with amusement.
"There are nine of them," Clarice muses thoughtfully. "There's a character named Seven of Nine? That's- odd. And a bit of an amusing coincidence but- no. Raven named them all... numbers, and we teased her for not giving them proper names. And then we just... started naming them." She looks towards Dyani as she asks curiously, "Do you //want// to name that one Seven-of-Nine?" She tosses her own food into the water, one pellet at a time.

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Dyani goes back over to look at Seven as the koi nibbles on the food. "Borg are like bees, they live in groups, linked together. So they do not have names, they have designations. She was Seven of Nine, so there were nine in her unit," she explains as she watches the koi. "Her full designation is Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix 01."

Looking back to Clarice she grins broadly, wickedly and says, "So that is what that fish should be named."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"...Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix 01?" Clarice repeats - letting out a quiet laugh. "Perfect. I'll let Raven know - that's just what she needs this week. Another of her fish named." Why not?
Looking towards Dyani she adds a little more quietly, "You said you had something you needed to talk to me about, though... Didn't you?"

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Still watching the fish, Dyani nods, then turns back to Clarice.

"There is another Hydra victim at Happy Harbor," she says quietly once she's moved back over. "Our new room mate was... you cannot repeat this, that would be very wrong. We know we should not repeat it, but she is /so/ afraid and angry, we promised she would be protected."

She moves in a little closer to she can almost whisper, "Her mother worked for Hydra, is now in jail, but did experiments on her and her father, her father died but she did not and she managed to run away. Now she is afraid they will find her, and we promised that no one would touch her. We do not think Hydra will come to Happy Harbor, or even try anything in New York, but we promised and we will keep our promise."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
There's a flash of anger across Clarice's features as Dyani explains her roommate's past - but she quickly gets the expression under control, offering a nod in response Dyani's unvoiced request. "If any trouble shows up - send me a '911' page. You know I'll back you and your roommate up. I wouldn't let them hurt either of you - and I'd love the chance to take another chunk out of them. The Brotherhood has a pretty strong presence in New York - we'll keep our ears open for any signs of Hydra activity, I promise you," she reassures the girl.
    "You'll both be okay."

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Dyani hugs Clarice around the waist. "We know you would protect her, just like you protect us. We knew that we could make that promise and you would help us keep it," she says then steps back from the hug.

"She is very shy, very nervous, and still trying to get comfortable in her own skin..." she leans closer and whispers, "She can turn completely invisible, it is so freakin cool!" Then she returns to her normal tone. "When she is feeling a little less over whelmed, we can introduce you to her, if you would like."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
Clarice returns the hug, smiling at Dyani reassuringly. "We'll always protect kids from assholes who try to take advantage of them. I just won't tolerate it, no one should." When they part from the hug, she nods reassurinng, flashing the girl a broad smile. "That is pretty cool - and hopefully that helps her stay safer. I'd love to meet her - if she'd like. Maybe you could even give her a tour of the Asteroid someday, huh?"

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Dyani sighs softly, "Her own mother... who is in jail now, but still... she sees a therapeest." She says it wrong. "And takes medication, but we intend to try and help her as much as we can." She nods adamantly. "As much as she will let us help her. We do not want to scare her, we made her really uncomfortable being... well... us... but we think she will get comfortable with us in time."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"Dyani - you're not exactly //scary,//" Clarice has to admit with an amused smile. "You can be a lot - but you're not scary. She'll get used to you, though. You're one of the friendliest and most determinedly earnest people that I know." More solemnly she adds, "I'm sorry for what happened to her, though. Her own family... I know how that feels. I thought for years.... well, I was wrong. But I know how it feels, poor kid."

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Dyani tilts her head, looking at Clarice, then goes to her phone to pull up the video of Gary getting beat up by two girls, and shows it to Clarice. "We are too scary!" she then exclaims. "Grrr... we mean, not always, but be can be. Being really energetic and excited is new for Reagan, she is used to alone and quiet. She will adjust, and we will help by toning it down just a little until she does."

She sighs a little, thinking about Reagan and her mother, she can't seem to get it out of her head. "We really hope we can make life happier for her, she seems to lonely and nice. We are going to play D&D with her, because she has always wanted to. We are going to learn to be a Dungeon Master, so it can be a smaller group and less stressful for her."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
Looking puzzled, Clarice accepts the phone - watching the video with a strange mix of anger, pride, and amusement. "You can be strong, Dyani. You are strong. But scary still isn't the word I'd use," she admits, patting Dyani on the shoulder. "I- wow. What an ass. That guy... I would really like to beat the shit out of him, you know?" she remarks, as she hands the phone back.
"I'm glad this girl has someone like you looking out for her. She'll be alright, I know you'll make sure of it. And I'll help where I can."

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Once again Dyani tries to look scary, but she's not, not at all. If she went to a swarm, then she becomes scary, but she also become naked. She hasn't quite figured out how to use the bees to make temporary coverings yet.

"Madi and us believe his friends were trying to teach him a lesson," she says simply once she decides she really can't be scary. "We took care of him Clarice, we made sure he knew that coming by and insulting us would get his jewels punched by a blunt arrow. We will do it again if we see him and any words out of his mouth are not an apology."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"Seems like a fair response to me. Still, people like him just- they make me angry," Clarice admits, giving the girl a small, tight smile. "But you and your friend handled it well. You stood your ground, you protected each other - and you spoke your minds. Can't ask for anything better."

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Dyani cants her head again, the other direction.

"People like him... people who do not like mutants?" She asks, completely serious. "We thought people were allowed their opinion though. We agree that this Gary was a buttwad, because he was vocal and antagonistic, but if he had just disliked mutants in silence... that is his right, is it not?"

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"People are allowed their opinions. But hating people just for existing? It's not okay. It's not a valid opinion. You can't hate people just for existing. People are people, it's just that simple," Clarice says firmly and fervently. "They have that opinion - and maybe they're not violent - but they talk about it. They spread it to others. It grows, and it becomes dangerous, and- ugh." She shakes her head. "He's awful. Just... awful."

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
For a long while Dyani watches the fish while thinking about what Clarice just said. It's not that she's stupid, it really is all about a lack of education and socialization, but the more she thinks on what was said, the better she understands.

"We think you are right," she finally says. "It is not an opinion to hate someone, it is a choice, an emotion, and though they do not have to like everyone, they should not openly hate. That is very much like hating someone for their skin color, which is the other one that we have faced before."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"It's the same thing. It's hate without cause or reason. You can hate a person. You can hate an organization. You can't ever reasonably hate a //people//." Clarice shakes her head in frustration. "That boy's just... wrong. Someone fed him a poison. I suppose it's not really his fault - he's just a kid, really, but still..." She lets out a sigh. "You did good. You were brave, and firm, and you're an amazing shot."

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Dyani puffs out her chest a little, standing taller-ish and looking proud.

"We are our human father's Lil' Stinger," she says with pride. "He taught us very well, and we learned everything we could in the short time before our site went to the bees."

She takes one of the Clarice's hands in her own, then starts talking along the path for no other reason than there was still alot of garden to see. "We competed for a while, and got better and now we can practice again and get even better."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
Clarice lets Dyani draw her along, letting the girl explore where she will while she wears a relaxed smile. "You know - every time I hang around you Dyani I'm reminded that I don't hang around you enough. //I'm// lucky to have you, you know?" she remarks. "I'm glad you get to practice your archery again - I should go watch you shoot sometime, you know? That'd be a lot of fun. Maybe me, and Rahne or- well. It'd be fun."

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Dyani pauses and looks up at Clarice, that odd little head tilt still present. "You have been very busy," she says with a smile. "Theo told us that you are second in charge of everything now, that makes you very busy. We understand, that is why we text you what we are doing and how school is going, so you know and do not have to worry."

She returns to walking and talking, "We are teaching Madi how to shoot a bow. She thinks she's a Jedi from Star Wars, this worries us, but we have come to understand that attempting to break that illusion would be bad. She is actually just a mutant, but we have not figured out her power, as several things have happened.... but you could come watch us, any time you would like."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"A mutant who thinks she's a Jedi?" That's ridiculous. "Well. At least she doesn't talk to people who aren't there," Clarice mutters under her breath, shaking her head.
"And I really try not to be too busy for my family," she adds firmly. "You're important to me, Dyani. And honestly - I love hearing how you're doing. That you're happy at school - that you're learning... That's great. And that you have friends now, that's even better." The kid got to live a normal life, at last.

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Dyani starts to lightly swing her and Clarice's hand as she walks, humming a little. "We do not know how she came to think that she is a Jedi, we did not even know what a Jedi was until we saw the movies with her. They are strange movies, and Jedi are strange, but she very much loves them, so we attempt to enjoy."

Walking a little further, she says, "We understand that you have a lot of obligations Clarice, you are hive, you will always be hive. We get busy with school, and movies, and learning about Irie and Madi's hobbies, and meeting new people and now shooting things... you worry too much."

She stops to look at a collection of bushes and flowers, wondering now how the flowers blooms without any sort of pollination. There are no bees up here, well now there are, but they will return with her... so how do the flowers... "Clarice, how do the flowers and plants here get pollinated?" She finally asks, looking back up at the magenta mutants face.

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
Clarice happily swings her hand along with Dyani - smiling as the pair walk along the paths within the garden. "I do worry a lot," she admits. "But still. I'll try to make a little more time for you - when I can." She nudges the girl with her shoulder, and pauses to look down at the flowers. A curious, and puzzled look crosses her features as she ponders the question.
"I really don't know. Maybe it's Bruin? I'd have to ask him."

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
"Bruin?" Dyani asks. "Is he the gardener? He has made a very lovely garden if he is, but we really would like to know how the flowers and vegetables... wow! Look at the size of those tomato plants!"

Letting go of Clarice's hand as they reach the vegetable garden area, Dyani zips over to look at the plants. "Our human mother brows tomatoes, but the plants /never/ get this big! May I take a picture to show her?" She than asks, looking to Clarice.

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"Of course," Clarice agrees easily. "The Asteroid isn't exactly a secret." And of course her parents were well aware of her relationship with the girl. "Bruin is a mutant with some sort of... plant power. I'm not sure what exactly he can do - I know he can accelerate the growth of plants. He can also alter them to be better suited to specific conditions. Beyond that - I don't know. He just - he takes care of all our plants, but he's very shy. You almost never see him in person, basically," she explains with a wry smile.

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Dyani pulls out her phone, then looks to Clarice. "Would you please stand by it, to show size comparison?" she asks, then when Clarice does, she takes a couple of pictures. "That is an AMAZING power to have! Do you know how many farmers on the reservations would pay for someone to come help the crops like that? He could be rich, over night." She takes a couple more pictures of the other plants then the phone camera is aimed straight up to get a picture of the earth. "That is one out human father will like."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"It's the photo most people take when they visit here," Clarice remarks. She finally takes the stem of the fennel blossom out of her mouth, tossing it into the dirt of the vegetable garden. "Do you want me to try to take a picture of you - with the Earth in the shot behind you,?" she suggests. "I bet your father would like that even more."
She glances at the tomato plant - and really, it occurs to her that she's never given much thought to the use of Bruin's powers. "He used his powers to help Scotland. He made trees that should help make their forests more resilient. It was important to Rahne..."

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Dyani passes her phone to Clarice, then flies up to put herself in a position that the earth is behind her.

"That sounds like it was be fun! Planting butch trees in Scotland to make the forest bigger and better," she calls down, not screaming this time then head lifts and looks off past Clarice for a moment. "We think we see someone else in the garden, who is Rahne?"

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
Clarice snaps a few pictures of Dyani - flitting about in front of the Earth. She even frames one to get part of a tree into a shot. It was a bit surreal - trees in space, with a flying girl, looking down at the earth...
"Rahne's my girlfriend," Clarice supplies simply. "She's also a mutant. She can turn into a wolf, when she wants to. She's... well. She's very patient, and tolerant, and understanding. She's a good person."

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Dyani flies back down and lands by Clarice, "She sounds very nice, and good for you. You need patient," she nods as if she knows these things fact. "Do you love her?" She then asks, taking her phone back to look at the pictures. Honestly, she sucked at taking pictures that weren't just a specific thing she wanted a picture of.

"Our human father will definitely like this one Clarice, thank you."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"Gee, thanks," Clarice remarks with try amusement, as Dyani comments on Rahne's patience. She isn't wrong - Clarice does need that patience, but geeze...
As for her feelings about the other girl, "I mean- yeah. As much as I love anyone, really." Except for Theo. Theo manages to be a category all of his own. She got hurt some months ago. It was difficult for me. I went, admittedly, a little crazy when it happened."

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Dyani frowns a little, taking Clarice's hand again. "She got better though? We would hate to think of you being alone again. Brothers are likely okay, and of course in their own category, but a partner is important... or so our human parents say about each other. They say that love knows before you do, and it comes naturally without work. You just love." She makes a wrinkles face at that.

"We do not think it is really like that, all things take work, but they had troubles while we were gone, almost separated, so they say that to try and hide it from me."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"She's alright," Clarice replies reassuringly. "She's fine. I- here." After giving Dyani's hand a squeeze, she pulls out her phone, unlocking it and opening her photo album. She finds a photo that shows her and Rahne - the red-headed Scot snuggled against her and asleep. The photo is clearly a selfie Clarice had managed to snap one evening - and thankfully both of them are appropriately covered by night shirts.
"I'm sorry to hear your parents struggled. I can only imagine how hard it was for them when you disappeared - how frightening. I'm glad we could get you back for them."

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Looking over the picture, Dyani tilts her head.

"We think we saw her once, at the school we do not talk about," she says quietly. "In passing, never met her face to face. We were still hiding a lot then though, so it was no one's fault but our own."

And now for something Clarice likely is not prepared for... the questions. "How did you know that you liked girls? Do you also like boys, or just girls? Do you enjoy sex? How do you have sex with another girl?"

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"She takes college courses there," Clarice confirms. "So you very well could have. She calls there, and here home these days - and she has a lot of friends there at Xavier's."
The questions do indeed catch Clarice offguard - and as much as her level of embarrassment and discomfort over such topics has improved over recent weeks - these are some very direct and embarrassing questions, and she wasn't sure how direct and honest she should be. Do you tell a teenaged girl you went to a brothel to figure things out? That's seems... inappropriate, doesn't it?
"I- well. That was hard, actually. I was confused. Rahne, uh... kissed me. Without asking, and I was- it surprised me, and I wasn't sure what I'd felt, and I hadn't ever dated anyone before..." She takes a deep breath in, letting it out slowly before remarking, "Well. I'm pretty sure I like both girls and boys. And, uh..." The color of her cheeks deepens noticeably before she remarks in a quiet voice, "You know. We just, uh... We use our hands. Or... our mouths. Or, uhh... Tools. Toys." Sex toys. "You don't really want to hear about //that// do you?" she asks a bit dismayed, and clearly not wanting to go into more detail.

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Clarice gets a bit of a reprieve as Dyani shakes her head. "No, we do not think we need to hear about toys for sex, we can guess what they are, mostly." She looks back toward the Earth above her. "Our human mother does not talk about things like that, we think that is because she, like we, assume it is not something we will have to ever worry about. Thank you for being honest," she adds at this point, then looks back to Clarice with a smile. "We can see we embarrassed you, we did not mean to."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"Raven and Mister Creed have both been trying to get me to stop being so... prudish about it," Clarice answers with a wry smile. "It's just not the easiest or most natural thing for me. Not really having a childhood - I didn't really have a chance to grow up with friends, talking gossip about things like boys - or girls. Or sex. It just feels strange. It's alright though, I know you didn't mean anything by it."
She gives Dyani a nudge before adding, "Just don't go repeating any of it. Rahne's worse than me - she'd just melt into the floor!"

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
There is a moment that it is obvious Dyani is staring at Clarice. The motionlessness gives it away. "We would never repeat anything that private," she says quietly. "We would not have told you about Reagan if we did not really believe it would be helpful. We keep secrets, we know how important they are. We just have no one to talk to about some things. We do not think this is the sort of thing Madi or Irie would talk about, given neither have dated either, and the internet is /insane/ to learn anything like this from."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"Oh. Yeah, well... I mean, I guess it's important to have someone to talk to about this sort of stuff. I guess... I mean, I have a few people I could talk to, myself. I didn't meant to imply..." Clarice lets out a sigh, then just lets it drop.
"So... are you trying to figure out if you like guys? Or girls? I mean - I'm not exactly an expert on this stuff. There's only been Rahne."

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Dyani shrugs slightly, "We do not bother to try and figure it out, we will not be attractive to people, we are merely trying to understand how attraction works. We can smell pheromones, we understand the attraction of them. Even human people have them when they are attracted to or aroused by another, we just do not understand the why."

She shrugs again, then looks toward where the fennel flowers are with a grin, "They really like those flowers, all of them will be pollinated very, very, very well."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"Oh," Clarice remarks - surprised and puzzlement in her voice, and on her features. "Well... I don't know, Dyani. You may be. I'm not exactly the most normal looking person around. And Rahne has fur half of the time. There could very well be someone out there who would like you a lot," she suggests. "We don't know what the future will bring. I wasn't really looking for anything when I- when Rahne and I found each other. It was all a bit of a surprise to me."
She glances towards her flowers - her smile broadening as she adds, "Thanks, Dyani. Maybe we should see about getting a hive up here. Is it possible to get a particularly docile hive...? Or do all hives of bees pretty much behave the same?"

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Turning back toward the fennel plants, Dyani seems pretty much comfortable with the idea that there isn't someone out there. "Nice of you to say that Clarice," she offers first with a smile. "It is alright though, we know the truth. All bees are docile by nature, unless you attack the hive or them. They only sting in defense, they never deliberately seek someone out to sting as it is the end of the life, the last line of defense and even then, it is done to protect the hive."

Reaching the flowers, she reaches out her hand as her antenna wiggle, and the bees come flying over. "We could put together a hive of hard workers, they would do the job quite nicely, and so long as people know they are working and around, they will not go stinging unless attacked, which we doubt anyone would do."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"And the truth is that you are kind and caring - and honestly, you and Rahne remind me of each other. Anyone would lucky to have you in their life, so don't be silly." Clarice seems completely sincere, as she puts an arm around Dyani, giving her a gentle squeeze.
"And personally - I think it'd be nice to have a little more life around here. We don't really get gusts of wind - so the trees are pretty silent. We have the squirrels, a few birds, the koi - and the stream. But there's no buzzing of bees, and the birds don't sing all that often... It'd just be nice to have a little //more// life up here."

Dyani Zitkala has posed:
Dyani starts giggling, and shakes her head a little. "Clarice, if you want life, you could just pop down to a garden, but we get what you mean." She offers a huge smile. "We will build another hive and select the best bees that are more docile. We needed to make a new hive anyway, our sister Queens have been very busy and the hives we have are getting to small. We think part of that is also that the hives attract random bees from other hives, and sometimes we have to send them back. They do not like that. We are... more attracting than hive Queens."

Looking back up at Clarice's face for a moment, she hmms softly. "We do not think it will happen, but we are not saying if it does we will send them away. No one knows the future, except perhaps Irie, but she is very good at avoiding spoilers."

Clarice Ferguson has posed:
"But then I don't get the //view!//" Clarice counters - but she lets out a laugh, and nods in agreement. "You're right, though. I have no right to complain."
She continues strolling with Dyani, looking up towards the trees, and pointing out one of the squirrels as it leaps between branches. "One of your friends is a precog?" she asks in a curious tone. "Why doesn't she like to talk about her visions?"
