Cast of Characters: Aldrif Odinsdottir, John Stewart

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
It's late afternoon in Morninside Heights in December. The streetlights won't turn on for another few minutes, but it's dark enough to be unpleasant. There is an unusual clamor in this otherwise affluent and therefore sedate part of the city; a small crowd shouting and one man in particular screaming in fear.
That man is a barrel-chested white college boy dangling twenty feet above the pavement, held up by a redheaded babe in something that technically qualifies as clothes who is standing on thin air as if it could support her, which is something even John doesn't see every day (more like three to four times a week).
His right ankle is clasped in her left hand, forearm ahead of her and elbow bent as if his weight is nothing more to her than a mug of coffee. She looks down at him with an impassive, cold expression as his face slowly turns red from being held upside down.
His arms flail in the air as if to find some invisible purchase to cling to.

John Stewart has posed:
It's also very easy to spot from above, since it isn't often that people dangle in midair from someone flying.

Flyers? Sure... but not this.

John is also easy to spot as a sudden emerald light shines across the entire block, John coming down to float a few feet in front of the redhead, arms crossed, and himself sheathed in a Green shield, the light a beacon to everyones eyes at this point.

"Having fun, are we?" John quips, the tone a half question, half statement.

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
"I am having no fun. I have not asked the people below if they are or are not. Some seem to be," Angela says.

John Stewart has posed:
"Fair enough. I'm gonna need you to put him down safely, though." John looks down to the mans face, then back to to Angela, "John Stewart, Green Lantern Corps. If you have a problem with this man, I'm sure we can discuss the issue without threatening lives."

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
"This man has not yet made his manners to me. Is it your intention to interfere before he has paid his debt?" Angela asks flatly.

John Stewart has posed:
"Made his manners? What does that mean?" John replies with a hint of curiosity.

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
"He has incurred a debt to me through disrespectful speech. He may pay it back with courteous speech, or he may pay it back by the damage his body incurs.
"I have told him this. He seems to have made his choice." Angela shrugs slightly, as if the difference means nothing to her.
"I infer from your clothing that you perceive yourself a hero, and mean to intervene. Be aware that doing so will cause his debt to transfer to you."

John Stewart has posed:
"Being rude doesn't give you the right to manhandle anyone you please in my sector, so yes, you're damned right I'm going to intervene." John narrows his eyes slightly, the glowing of them diminishing just slightly from the act.

"You'll find it a bit harder to dangle me over a street, but if you want to dance, bring it." John boldly tells her.

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela's left arm flings the man lightly up into the air. His voice is thin from screaming and his face is going on purple from blood pooling. She catches him by the collar and twists until his feet are facing down. She pulls his face close to hers, then points at John Stewart.
"This man has accepted your debt as his own. If you have any sense of honor, you consider yourself indebted to him, but I do not expect you to."
She hovers down to the ground to release him into a crowd of people filming with their phones. Some offer him help, though it isn't clear what help they can offer under the circumstances.
Angela lifts back into the air, facing John Stewart with her flat gaze.
"Disrespect permitted is disrespect encouraged. Do you wish to erase the disrespect, or to engage in violence until dominance is established?" she asks.
There is a long sword in the small of her back, but she is holding no weapons.

John Stewart has posed:
"I'd rather not fight you at all, but I don't get the impression you're just going to let me fly away, right?" John replies back, casually. He ignores the sword completely, seemingly unfazed by her demeanor.

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela lifts an eyebrow. "Did you not hear the alternative already twice presented, or did you ignore it because you are lying about wanting to fight?"

John Stewart has posed:
"I said to bring it if you're going to fight me over intervening." John brings up a hand from his crossed arms and crooks a finger inviting her, "I didn't say anything about wanting to initiate. Screw with people, and I'm gonna get in your way. It's that simple."

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela surrenders. Three times she asked for an apology, and each time was told he would rather suffer than offer one.
Since there is no choice, she wastes no more time. An angel who can outrun lightning dashes through the air at John Stewart.
She does not put her full strength into the fist aimed at his belly.

John Stewart has posed:
Unfortunately for Angela, Green Lantern shields are hardcore stuff. She hits him... and he goes flying back into the buildings behind. Debris starts to crumble a bit from the impact, before he rights himself just against the wall.

"That all you got? You keep going on about debts and rudeness, but if you hit like /that/ I don't get the impression you put a lot of passion into that custom." John teases.

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
"Of course not. If such a light attack sent you flying like that, then I do not know if I can pull my punch enough to inflict proportionate harm upon you."
Angela eyes the building's broken facade critically.
"It is not right that people nearby should suffer for your desire to lure me into a fight. Do you intend to press the attack, or will you wait for long enough that I may settle my debt with this building's owner?"
