Winter Pool Escape
Date of Scene: 08 December 2021
Location: Olympian Public Pool
Synopsis: Susan meets a Pixie! Pixie meets a Susan! Cool time pool time.
Cast of Characters: Susan Sullivan, Megan Gwynn

Susan Sullivan has posed:
During winter months, pools often see a downturn in activity, but in anywhere as populous as New York City, everywhere is busy. Susan's hair is already about as long as a toothbrush's bristles, and her eyebrows and eyelashes look normal enough again. Wearing a one-piece swimsuit, her form is on display for the first time in more than a decade. Because of that, she looks a little uncomfortable, despite having a very fit, attractive form. She seems especially conscious of her curves and bust on display. She's not used to people checking her out, and every man (and the occasional woman) who glances at her form causes her to adjust her suit again. She finds an area with less people in the pool and steps off the side into the water. She splashes a bit, panicking before quickly calming. She's fine. She's fine. She then laughs and kicks off from the side wall. Floating on her back, she closes her eyes and just drifts a bit.

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn isnt super keen on swimming during the cold weather, but it often helped to relax her. And after a fairly stressful week, she could really use the relaxation. So she had opted to check out the Olympic Pool, a place she'd only been to a handful of times before.

Her arm still stung from the minor burns she had received a few days ago, but it's healing up quite nicely by now, and maybe some soothing water would be good for it. The pool is less busy during the winter months at least, but there are still a few people here and there.

Dressed in a bright green one piece athletic swimsuit, she sure stands out with her hot pink hair and those cute glistening fairy wings that afford more than a few stares herself. Shaking her head, she does her best to avoid them, finding a quiet little nook and dives in..Maybe a little too hard.

Splash! Water goes everywhere, mostly towards the girl nearby who floats quietly on her back.

Susan Sullivan has posed:
Susan sputters and flails a bit. She notices the splash has come from a specific person...a fairy? She has seen enough not to let herself be surprised for long. She cups her hand and thrusts it forward, managing to splash quite an unusually large amount at Megan. Thankfully, the pool here is shallow enough for her to be able to touch the bottom so she can have a splash fight with a fairy...that's a phrase she didn't expect to think today.

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn vanishes beneath the waves for a moment or two, before re-emerging, using her wings to fly up faster. "Wooooo, soooo cold!" she shivers, but knows her body will quickly adjust to the temperature change. And thankfully it's fairly warm in here. She giggles and waves at the other girl, and playfully splashes some water back at her. "Hey! What's this, a wave fight? Think you can beat me?"

Susan Sullivan has posed:
Susan smiles and spins, turning and using some kind of unusual technique to make her splashes larger. "Winning so far!" she says as she aims another barrage of chlorinated pool at the fairy before her. Playing with fairies? Yeah, she's pretty sure everything in the last few years is just somebody's six year old imagination come to life.

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn smirks and emulates her technique, using her wings to scoop up more water as she effortlessly twirls and pirouettes in the water, creating a mini vortex before redirecting it towards Susan. "Oh, are you sure about that? I think I totally beat you in style at the very least!" she grins and winks. Hey, at least she's not cheating with magic...yet!

Susan Sullivan has posed:
Susan is splashed with way more than she anticipated. She blinks a bit, eyes becoming slightly irritated before she smiles and doubles up. It's weighted against her, now, but those pixie wings don't have the strength of her arms, so it's almost fair. She seems to be having fun, in any case.

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn meeps as the other girl comes back with bigger splashes, but this time she doesn't retaliate. All this splish splashing is making her wounded arm sting..And while it's healing fairly nicely, she should take it easy. "Heh, well now that we've been acquainted..You come out here much? It's so nice and warm..I guess I never really thought of doing a little winter swimming.."

Susan Sullivan has posed:
Susan moves toward the fairy. She's staring at the wings a bit, but her own femininity no longer seems to be bothering her so much in proximity to a pixie like Pixie. "Not yet," she says. She reaches out to gently poke the arm that's not obviously sore as she looks over the wings. "You're beautiful," she admits. "Are you real? I mean...I know you're real. Sorry. I'm just at a little bit of a loss of what to say around someone like you. Are you a mutant? If so, you got every mutation I wish I would have gotten." She shakes her head a bit. "I'm sorry," she says. "I'm asking too much at once." She offers a hand just above the water to shake. "My name's Susan."

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn blink-blinks and blushes at the compliment. "Ooh, you really think so?" she giggles and nods. "Thanks! I'm a...Well, half fairy, half-mutant, apparently. And yeah, they're real, a real pain to hide from prying eyes too." she grins, "But it's okay, I'm used to being stared at." she smiles and offers a hand. "Hi! I'm Megan, nice to meet you."

Susan Sullivan has posed:
Susan nods and looks her over again. "I'm not a mutant," she admits, reaching out to very gently run her fingers along Megan's wing. "Wait," she says, stopping as she suddenly seems to process Megan's words. "So you're a real fairy?" she asks, barely containing her rising excitement. "That's so cool!" She looks over Megan again. She speaks quickly once more, her words barely able to keep up with her mouth. "I have so many questions. I'm sorry. I know you get enough people wanting to know all about you. I'm geeking out a little bit. I'll try to cool it. Um...what are you into? Do you swim a lot? This is my first time swimming in almost a decade."

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn sighs a bit. "Well...Only part faerie. I'm not entirely sure which part really. And I'm not nearly so powerful magically as a real full on fairy. But I'd really like to learn more magic, it's just been hard to find a good tutor..Dr. Strange is always busy, so is Illy. I heard they're dating or something even." she makes a face. "Ooh, I love swimming, but I don't come here often. But it's really relaxing and nice. How about you, is this a regular haunt of your's? Do you know much about faeries?"

Susan Sullivan has posed:
Susan shakes her head no. "This is the first I'm learning that fairies are even real," she admits. She's looking Megan in the eyes when she's talking to her, but when she isn't, she's staring at any part of her body she can see. She seems very curious. "I do some things," she says. She looks around at the others in the pool. "Maybe we shouldn't show off in here," she suggests before looking back into Megan's eyes. "Would you want to get a bite to eat sometime? Maybe when I've had the time to mentally process this so I'm not geeking out and wanting to explore you to see what half-fairies are like. I can do mostly qi manipulation, but Doctor Strange is helping me with that, so maybe I can be of help to you?" she attempts to offer.

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn hehs. "there are a lot of really weird things out there." she shrugs, "I've only ever met one real fairy in my life, but I'd like to meet more. It's too bad, most magical creatures are good at hiding, I wish I could meet more, learn more, but.." but, glancing at the clock on the wall, she meeps and looks a bit anxious, "Oh no, I gotta get back, I have things I need to do! But sure, I'll swing by the pool tomorrow after class, same time. Let's catch up. Ooh, and you know Doctor Strange!? That's sooo lush! Maybe you can introduce me!" she grins as she heads for the edge, climbing out. "Let's definitely catch up again, til then, see you!"
