Profile
A Man out of Time. Blaine Colt was thrown into the future after a fight with Kang the Conqueror, and he's trying to find his way around. Or maybe find his way back.
Timeline
Timeline:
* 1860 - Blaine Cole is born in the town of Salvation in the Wyoming Territory to Pa and Ma Cole. He has one older brother, Slim, who was born in 1858.
* 1868 - As soon as he could hold a gun, Blaine was learning to use one, instructed by his Pa who was a former lawman.
* 1878 - Blaine's older brother Slim is gunned down by a gang of outlaws in an attempt to stop them. Blaine makes a deal with himself to never use a gun. Blaine's father is killed by Sheriff Larribee later that year over a land dispute.
* 1879 - Ma Cole dies of tuberculosis. Blaine is now without a family and his ancestral lands are stolen by Larribee.
* 1880 - Living in Salvation's boarding house, Blaine's short temper leads him to become fed up with the corruption in town. In the light of day, Blaine marches into the Sheriff's office and guns down Larribbee. Blaine, now taking on the nickname "Kid Colt", flees the town on a horse named Steel and turns to a life of crime. He'd never return to Salvation.
* 1881 - Blaine takes up with a band of ruffians called the Six Gun Syndicate and rides with them for several years, taken by their love of a life of freedom and independence from Federal oversight.
* 1884 - After riding with the Six Guns for a time, relations turn sour with their leader, Cash Collins. Blaine and Cash are in constant disagreement over the course of the year and things eventually come to a head when Cash suggests kidnapping a young woman named Betty. Cash is killed by Kid Colt in a duel. Kid Colt and Betty take to the frontier to escape the Six Gun Syndicate's wrath. Blaine renounces his outlaw past and becomes a certifiable folk hero. Many dime novels will be written about his exploits during the following years.
* 1890 - Kang the Conqueror, a time traveler from the 31st century, arrives with plans to take control of the timeline. With the help of the Night-Rider Lincoln Slade, the Rawhide Kid, and Betty, Kid Colt manages to get the upper hand, but is caught in the Light of the Centuries Sphere as Kang attempts to escape and thrown forward in time.
* 1948 - The first 'Kid Colt' comic books are published, adapted from dime novels and tall tales of the Wild West.
* 2022 - Kid Colt, confused and injured from his fight, appears in a flash of light in modern day Utah.

Personality
Hardworking:
Even by the standards of the 1800s, Blaine's work ethic is spectacular. Whenever he sets his mind to a task, he won't stop until it's handled and handled well.
Kind:
Having lived a time as an outlaw, Blaine's seen the worst that humanity has to offer, and has been party to some of it. When he finally got his wits about him, he decided it was time to make a change. He strives to help out whenever he can, even if he's not the 'nicest'.
Softspoken:
Blaine is the son of a former lawman. Whenever he stepped out of line, he felt it. Pair this with harsh life on the frontier, and it lead to Blaine being fairly reserved in general.

Skills
Combat:
While his main skill is with his revolvers, Blaine is no slouch when it comes to throwing a punch. He's a decent sort to have at your back when you're in the heat of a bar fight.
Equestrian:
While not as useful a skill in the modern day, Blaine's excellent at horseback riding. He's also a fair hand at breaking and taming horses, the creatures seemingly naturally drawn to the man.
Expert Marksman:
With his pair of Colt Single Action Armies, Blaine is unmatched. He trained for years with his father in respecting the firearm and the skill and care it takes to properly utilize one.
His years as an outlaw and folk hero were both propped on the back of his skill as a trick shot and his ability to keep a cool head in a gunfight.
Reaction Speed:
Kid Colt's draw speed is legendary. Through years of honing the skill of a quickdraw, this skill has mutated into just a generally heightened reaction speed. He once caught a fly with a pair of chopsticks in California.
Resources
Big Irons:
Kid Colt's pride and joy. While not very taken with sentimentality and thus never deigning to name them, Colt's partial to using his Colt SAAs. Both have been customized with ivory handles that bear his initials.
Weaknesses
Alone:
A byproduct of being thrown more than a century into the future, Blaine's got nobody to rely on, and he's hesitant to reach out. Folk're strange nowadays.
Fish Out of Water:
Colt's got absolutely no idea how to handle the fact that he's shanghaied in the 21st century. While he's a fairly progressive and open-minded individual, things can still catch him off-guard. Like cellphones. And pizza.
Temper:
Blaine's normally good at keeping a level head, but he's got his limits. When they're tested, he can fly off the handle with the best of them.
