- First Gods refers to those ideologues that existed prior to the collapse of the First Firmament. These are primordial forces and entities of fantastic power.
- The First Gods who later settled in the Demiurge later found new harmonies and became known as the Elder Gods, as they begat many of the godling races such as Asgardians and Olympians.
- These younger godlings who were manifested following the creation of the Demiurge are the New Gods.
References to Old Gods refers to the refugee First Gods who were killed, or fled to Nullspace. They are also known as Great Old Ones-- Yog-Sothoth, Dormammu, Trigon and C'thulu are two of the more well-known among their many numbers.
