Ben thought it was patently ridiculous he was guarding a bunch of blue rocks. The irony of a pile of orange rocks guarding a pile of blue rocks was not lost on him, but several esteemed universities were very worried that their collections might be stolen and even a few military folks put them at a place where the rocks were potentially in danger, and besides a force field, some armed robots and tons of sensors; for at least a day arrangements had been made for Ben to guard them.

He considered it an easy assignment, since whatever it was stealing the stupid things would cause the rocks to be at risk, he had zero doubt in his mind that Reed Tech would notice it.

Until the lights went out.

Setting down his pretzles, he swore in several languages and marched towards the darkness. He rolled up his sleeves and shouted, "It's CLOBBRING..."

The lights came on and the rocks were gone.

"time?" He looked around at an empty room. Oh he was never gonna live this one down with Johnny.

Whatever was going on, he was gonna get to the bottom of it.
