Personality
Bull-Headed:
Full of will and determination, when he gets something in his head he sees it through to the end whatever the chost may be.
Soft-Spoken:
Jethro is from an Era where having a big mouth could get you shot dead fast. He doesn't do a lot of talking, and prefers to stick to action.
Character Sheet
Powers
Super-Marksmanship:
Going far beyond simple skill Jethro has a supernatural ability with black powder rifles that makes him one of the most acurate men on the planet able to make almost impossible shots reliably. He can tell exactly where a bullet is going to land when he pulls that trigger to a beyond human degree like that of a supercomputer.
Skills
Fisticuffs:
While he's got no martial arts training Jethro knows how to brawl, able to throw punches and do damage in more of a chaotic street brawling style lightly influenced by gentlemens boxing.
Gunsmithing:
Jethro Knows how to make and maintain his own firearms and amunition with very little in the way of equipment making him a highly self sufficient individual.
Minutemen:
Jethro keeps all his belongings on his person meaning that he's ready to go at a minutes notice. If he can't keep it on his person it's not that important to him.
Musician:
Jethro is a highly skilled player of the Banjo, and a wonderful singer. It's all he's ever wanted to do in life.
Parkour:
Running, Jumping, Climbing, getting around in a woodland environment is something Jethro is skilled at.
Swordsmanship:
Jethro knows his way around a sword as well as he does around a bayonet and a knife. He's well versed in melee range combat, and has dedicated himself to honing his skills.
The Hunter:
Hunting is more then a sport for a man like Jethro it's an all important way of life. He knows how to track an animal for miles through rain sleet and snow waiting in the underbrush and hiding for the right moment to strike. He's spent his whole life farming and hunting and gotten very good at it.
Resources
Squaters Den:
A small cave on government land. Jethro has set up a small living area inside this place felling a few trees and setting up something of a livable area. It's a very small space but it keeps him out of the elements and gives him a place to keep his napsack when it's not wrapped around his torso.
The Rifle:
Jethro's rifle is a custom built Whitworth rifle tuned to his obsessive parimiters. The standard issue Whitworth rifle had an average recommended effective range in the hands of the average soldier of 1000 yards or just under one kilometer and a maximum recommended range of 1,500 yards or roughly 1.4 kilometers. However shots have been made in the real world with the rifle as far as 2 kilometers.
Weaknesses
Education:
Jethro lacks a traditional formal education. He knows how to read and that's about it, he knows his simple mathematics basic addition and division but not much about history or politics or geography or anything really.
Hobo-With-a-Shotgun:
Jethro has NEVER liked high society comforts. He doesn't feel right living in any place that's got central heating and cooling or wasted space. He feels far too unfomfortable sleeping in plush beds or wearing fancy clothing prefering instead to live simple whenever he can.
Luddite:
Jethro Doesn't know how to use a cellphone, or a computer, or a car, or a typewriter or many things in the modern world. He doesn't even know how to use a radio. He's completely in the dark about modern technology and doesn't mind keeping it that way.
Pacifist At Heart:
All he's ever wanted in life was to play his music but he can't stand by and watch people suffer. His drive for justice sees himself at odds with his want to just live a quiet life and play the music he loves
Poverty:
Jethro doesn't have anything in the way of money. He's constantly flat broke and while he doesn't mind keeping it that way it can often make life more difficult for him then other people.
Roughin-It:
Due to his lifestyle harsh winters and hot summers hit particularly hard. He has to rely on what he can gather to keep himself warm, or cool in winter or summer. Only using what he makes.
