Profile
A young man with an...explosive personality. This mutant is just stepping into the world of superheroes and supervillains. His powerful abilities came with a terrible price, and now it is up to him to make the sacrifice worth it.
Timeline
Timeline:
*Born in 2004 in London, England.
*Grows up as a normal teen in the middle class of Londoners.
*2021: Powers manifest explosively, injuring Jono's girlfriend Gayle and causing Jono's chest and lower jaw to disintegrate.
*Manages to gain some rudimentary control of his powers, and applies to join the Xavier Institute in the United States

Personality
Bravery:
Despite all his faults, Jono still feels the need to step up when other people are threatened. He is brave and stubborn. He doesn't give up when the chips are down, and he does his best to stand up for his beliefs.
Cynic:
Having his chest and jaw painfully and forcefully removed as his powers manifested, Jono has taken the disfigurement rather harshly. He is often cynical toward others who express emotions of affection or friendliness toward him. While he is more than happy for the love and affections other show toward each other, he doesn't expect anyone to like him.
Moody:
Jono does his best to keep a lid on his anger at his disfigurement and maiming, but sometimes the lid will blow off. He will sometimes lash out at others, and say some things that he doesn't mean. He always regrets it soon afterward, but apologies only go so far.
Quiet:
For obvious reasons, Jono lacks a lower jaw so he doesn't talk much. While he can communicate telepathically, Chamber isn't as chatty as some other members of Xavier's School.

Powers
Biokinetic Blasts:
Jono can channel the Biokinetic power in his chest into blasts of intense power. Typically this manifests as a combination of flame and concussive force. He can knock over objects, set them on fire, or possibly both. With some intense focus he can channel it into a laser beam that disrupts the molecular bonds of inanimate objects. Using the Laser ability means he has to block out all distractions and intensely focus on his target though.
Biokinetics:
Jono has a nuclear furnace of powerful psychic energy losely contained within his chest cavity. This roaring energy keeps Jono alive without the need to Eat, Drink, or even Breathe. He still needs to sleep, but even then the furnace keeps boiling inside of him.
Limited Telepathy:
Jono cannot read minds, but he can project his own thoughts into the minds of others. He can focus this on one person, or just broadcast like he is talking louder. He can sometimes transmit more than just his voice, putting images into others heads. This can sometimes be used to confuse people with illusions, but those with mental training can overcome it with some focus.
Skills
Athletic:
Jono has the energy and drive of a teenager in his prime. He isn't a muscle man or olympic athelete, but he can keep up with most people his age and beyond. The biokinetic furnace raging in his chest also doesn't hurt.
Seat-of-the-Pants:
Jono is not a soldier, nor is he a trained police officer, nor is he a government sponsored superhero. Jono is a regular teen who has been gifted with incredible power. He isn't stupid though. Jono can plan things on the fly, and has a sharp tactical mind when he applies it.
Resources
Well-Off:
While he is not rich by any means, Jono's family isn't poor. They are most definitely rich enough to send their son across the pond to attend a special school for mutants.
Weaknesses
Disfigured:
No bones to pick about it, Jono has no jaw, an open chest, and very few internal organs left. Without anything covering his chest and lower face, he is as bright as a star coming to earth. He sticks out in a crowd. Without the flames in his chest, he would almost certainly look like a corpse. Luckily it is possible to wear bandages or a scarf to cover it up.
Psychic Dampening:
The Furnace in Jono's chest is all that is keeping him alive. If somehow someone manages to dampen that out or weaken it, it would have serious consequences for Jono's continued survival. If a slight Psychic dampening of the area would also render him unable to communicate.
Unsubtle:
Jono's abilities are more than a little bright. He has a tendency to glow when using his powers, so stealth is really not an option for him...at all.
