Limbo is an extradimensional plane located somewhat near the Demiurge's influence. The current primarch of Limbo is Illyana Rasputina.

It is highly chaotic and influenced by magical forces more than conventional physics, although basic fundamental forces still apply. Roughly the size of a planetary body, Limbo exists in a closed loop universe. It is possible to travel far enough away from Limbo that one starts approaching Limbo from the other direction, without losing sight of either perspective.

Limbo was formed after a brutal encounter between the Demiurge and an ancient [Celestial]] immediately prior to Ragnarok. The god Atum slew the Celestial by reaching into the being's chest and translocating its beating heart into a pocket dimension, forming the limitless power that maintains Limbo's presence.

Lacking any particular ideological constraints or leadership, Limbo was eventually infested with several varieties of demons. Lacking souls, these demons were unable to markedly affect Limbo's appearance or harmony.
