Personality
Cold and Ruthless:
There was a time when Ra's al Ghul was a fiery, passionate man full of ideals and a lust for life. This time has passed. After so many subsequent resurrections, Ra's has grown more calculating and his losing the great well of empathy he once had.
Egotist:
While he has most of his followers convinced that he is a wholly selfless man, Ra's is deeply prideful. Were he not, he would have handed over the reigns of the League centuries ago, but he will not allow himself to die until a worthy successor has been found and can kill him for good to usurp his throne.
Indomitable Will:
Ra's is a man of strong convictions that have been forged over nearly 6 centuries of life. He knows what he believes in, and he doesn't shirk in the face of any sacrifice that must be made to complete his task.
Character Sheet
Powers
Baseline Human:
Ra's is just a standard human. He has no powers.
Skills
Business Management:
Ra's is very competent in manuevering his way in business and negotiation. From his earliest days peddling medicines and services in Arabian bazaars, his eye for commerce has only sharpened.
Martial Arts:
Over his lifetime, Ra's has become a master in almost every martial art known to man. His skill is such that he does not miss a beat when switching from various styles or even from armed to unarmed combat. He is a very formidable foe, but despite this, he does not often engage with foes personally.
Mysticism:
Ra's has never given him self over to the mystic arts, believing that the very act of practicing deducts from the individual's autonomy through the nature of oaths and pacts, but he has learned a great deal about spirits, the supernatural, the infernal, and the laws the govern life and death.
Philosophy:
Describing Ra's al Ghul as a student of philosophy does not give the man enough credit. In the time that he's led his crusade, he has had no small hand in guiding the history of popular thought. Especially in regards to man's debt to his own community, nature, and the Earth.
Stealth:
Ra's, himself, is a master of remaining unseen. He operates with a patience and cunning that allows him to become truly invisible if he does not wish to be noticed.
Tactical Mastery:
Ra's has led warbands and armies for a long time and has forged his skills in the crucible of centuries of war. Starting his career as a warlord in the Arabian Peninsula, his is a largely asymmetrical style of conflict. He believes that mobilizing an army is a waste when one can simply pinpoint the source of any particular disagreement and have them killed in their sleep.
Resources
Lazarus Pits:
The League of Assassins are the preeminent researchers and defenders of the Lazarus Pits, pools of unknown chemical substance. Located in Gotham, Switzerland, the Arabian Peninsula, and other parts of the world, these useful pits are finite and will eventually run dry. Using a Lazarus Pit will induce temporary super strength and insanity, the latter's chance of becoming permanent increasing with each subsequent use.
The League of Assassins:
Founded in the mid 1400s, The League of Assassins, also called The Demon, is a very secretive cabal of elite martial artists, scientists, politicians, and mercenaries all dedicated to Ra's' vision of delivering true and absolute justice to the world. Man's harmony with nature has been thrown off-kilter by the former's greed, and The League is the tool that Ra's used to course correct.
Wealth:
The Demon's Head has amassed a sizable fortune throughout his life. It started with the sacking of the sultan's city and has only grown exponentially since. Ra's' assets are diversified over corporations, artistic investments, charitable organizations, and even actual, tangible treasure. He has no taste for the finer things in life, but sees these assets as nothing more than a means to further his plans.
Weaknesses
Dark Descent:
Ra's' continued use of the Lazarus Pits has taken its toll on the man. While he comes back with renewed strength and vigor from the afterlife, he is irreparably changed each time. His mind snaps back to its youthful clarity, but his motivations and personality have grown darker and more cynical throughout the ages.
Limited Immortality:
al Ghul's Lazarus Pits will run out immediately, so his life will have a definitive end. It also must be said that to be brought back to life, he must be taken physically to a Pit. His resurrections are never a foregone conclusion.
Self-Loathing:
Ra's knows he is changing for the worse. His crusade came about from a desire to bring prosperity and harmony to the world, but his mind is growing darker and more twisted as he goes on. He wishes to face the death that will not be reversed, but cannot allow that to happen until his successor has proved themselves.
Single-Minded:
Ra's is driven solely by his perception of himself as the savior of the world and devotes himself wholeheartedly to that task. While he has been around for a long, long time, he has never truly lived. His life has been bereft, except for a few times, of love and he sees his familial ties as only a means to extend his legacy.
