The Silver City is an unapproachable demesne of staggering beauty and size. It is the fortress-home of the Heavenly Host, the uncounted legions of angels who serve the needs of The Presence.

It was made by the Lilim in the proto-time after the First Firmament was first forged in the fires of Creation. They hoped it would be a home for the creatures who venerated the Presence. Instead, Michael Demiurgos shunned the Lilim, accusing them of being the bastard offspring of angels foolish enough to consort with the first mortal souls. The Lilim were thrown down from the place and it was taken as the new home of the Host.

The Silver City is not an Afterlife or a place for wayward souls. It shares only one common point with Heaven: the great Gates of Pearl that lead to the Great Beyond.
