Profile
The next in line to wield the weapon called Zethian, Skara Spark is an Irish native who moved to the United States with her parents, and the weapon they used to protect their home. Just coming of age and looking to attend college, this young woman is trying to juggle the expectations of her parents to use Zethian for the good of New York while maintaining her education and interest in tinkering and engineering. It's a lot of pressure to put on someone! Especialy someone that tends to act with their fists before their words. If that's just because of her heritage, upbringing, or otherwise, is anyone's guess.
Timeline
Timeline:
2002: Born in Waterford, Ireland to parents Riley and Caelan Spark.
2010: Family moved to the United States, settled around New York City.
2012: Moved to Long Beach, New York.
2013: First brawl at school, first suspension from school.
2015: Training begins with the shieldblade, Zethian.
2016: Takes interest in mechanical and engineering work. Studies shift toward these topics.
2019: Finishes personal upgrade of Zethian, allowing it to electrify. Training with weapon complete.
Jan 2020: Begins to scout colleges to attend. Discovers record will be a hindrance.
Mar 2020: Suit completed for use with Zethian. Decides to get real world experience with her weapon.

Personality
Blunt:
While she'd say she's being honest, Skara is about as tactful as a bulldozer. She's going to say what's on her mind and not really care if her mouth gets her into trouble. What's the point of lying anyway? It just over complicates things. Tell people how it is. If they don't like it? That's their problem to deal with.
Courageous:
Thanks in part to her training to use the shieldblade Zethian, Skara doesn't fear much in the world. A fight? Pff never! Facing down the bigger, the stronger, the smarter? Nah. Dealing with a new situation? Bring it on! She wouldn't be much of a user of her weapon if she was a scaredy-cat!
Juggling Act:
Turning 18, about to graduate, Skara's now coming to the realization that she has to juggle her dual lives. She wants to further her education, but her school record is getting in the way. She wants to be able to study, but she has to get experience with her inherited weapon. The juggling act is a lot to deal with, and while she tends to not really talk to it about anyone, there are times where the dam may just burst and it all comes pouring out to someone she trusts. Only a close friend may realize just how much pressure Skara is putting on herself: To succeed at her normal life and her heroic one.
Rowdy:
Some say its her heritage, others say its her upbringing. Whatever the cause, Skara is someone that doesn't put up with insults and will never back down from a fight. Admittedly, she'll point out even she will resort to using her fists before considering other options, but that's just how she thinks! Point is, if you pick a fight with Skara, it will be finished with someone on the ground.

Powers
Tinkerer Extraordinaire:
Early on in life, and when she was first introduced to the weapon that would become her own, Skara found herself curious and interested in how things work. She'd happily dismantle and re-assemble anything she could get her hands on, and this hobby hasn't slowed as she's grown. If she can take something apart, she can typically put it back together, WITH IMPROVEMENTS, if she has the resources available. She'll go far in an engineering school if she can just GET INTO ONE!
Skills
Mechanical Know-How:
Vehicles, electronics, appliances, anything you can think of that's in your house, she can work on. Dismantle, repair, rewire, improve: she's got an aptitude for all of it given time and materials.
Zethian Brawler:
Starting the moment she became a teenager, Skara's parents have trained her for years to inherit the shieldblade called Zethian. While she performs at peak with the weapon, she was trained early on not to rely on it. If she's disarmed she can still come at you with a brawling style fit for a Irish native.
Resources
Family Finances:
Thanks to handing down Zethian for generations, the users have slowly amassed a fair amount of wealth from helping the populace over the years. As a result, Skara has access to this in a reduced capacity, as her parents full control. She's not strapped for cash, but she can't buy everything under the sun either.
Long Beach Apartment:
Her home away from her parents. They pay the rent so long as she can prove she is keeping up with her education and her training.
Zethian:
Handed down in Skara's family for generations, Zethian is the name of a shield-like weapon that Skara has been training to use since she became a teenager. The family legend is that the weapon was forged from a dragonscale, but that's just their story. It is a versatile weapon made of an (as of yet) unknown material that is rather light and extremely durable. Each user has upgraded it in some way.
Zethian: Defense:
Believed to be a shield originally, and modified into a weapon second, the defensive capabilities of the artifact are quite high. When planted and hidden behind, side panels can extend from it to provide additional protection for Skara and one other if necessary. Most small weapons have little to no effect on it. On the move, it's even possible to bat away certain other projectiles if Skara's aware they are coming.
Zethian: Offense:
When used to attack, Skara has the ability to use every part of the artifact as a weapon due to the handle set against it's back. A specific press allows the rest of the weapon to rotate, allowing Skara to use either the sharpened lower half, or the blunted upper half. The upper portion can separate a few inches for a pile-bunker effect. The lower half, thanks to Skara's upgrade to the weapon, allows it to be electrified, though the handle insulates the user from being harmed.
Zethian: Utility:
A side effect of being upgraded so much over the years, Zethian offers a little in assisting with other things. The new electrical upgrade means Skara can use it as a power source. When rotated, the pilebunker extension can even give her a boost from the ground if she needs to get airborne in a hurry. And if she really needs to get moving, she's been known to hop onto the back and head down hills on it like a surfboard. (Don't tell her parents, they hate this!)
Weaknesses
Chicken?!:
Do not insult Skara Spark, or Sparkblade. Neither one of them take to insults very well. The result usually ends up involving fists or Zethian being applied to the body of the one doing the insulting. For better or worse, this is just a very easy way to get her angry very quickly.
Strong Front:
The way Skara acts in public is -very- different from how she acts within the walls of her own home. Out and about, she often puts up a strong front so others need not worry about her. At home, however, she often finds herself wondering how things will turn out. About how she'll get into school, how to juggle it with being Zethian's user. She puts a -lot- of pressure on herself and why she manages to drink what she does despite being underage.
Who Needs a Plan?:
Due to working alone so often, and never really planning out how to deal with her opponents, Skara just doesn't do plans. She may be interested in a plan, but the moment ANYTHING goes wrong, said plan will go right out the window. This is just not her forte. She plays most everything by ear.
