T'Challa is known publically as the young head of state of Wakanda, a rich isolationist state in Africa. Of this state, he is king by divine right and now seeks to bring Wakanda into the international world as a global power. However, he is also the country's strongest warrior and its chief enforcer, the Black Panther. Who he is depends on who is asking. To some from his country, he is known as a pacifist, a person out of sorts with the times. To others, he is laconic, enigmatic, and unrelentingly brutal

Personality

Civic-Minded:
While Wakanda may be a prosperus country, T'challa is always willing to extend a hand to those in need. He is charitable and open hearted to a variety of causes and willing to help those that are willing to help themselves.

Honorable:
T'Challa will not cheat or use under-handed tactics. He won't take a life needlessly. He'll at all times try to hold himself above such things, even if he realizes that a life must be taken at times to protect others.

Instinctual:
Though T'Challa's inner heart is that of a peaceful, educated and strong-willed man, he will always have the instinct of a Wakandan --- fierce, silent and swift. He takes to the hunt quickly, and has few mercies or trusts to speak of. This is not always pretty, as even though he is considered a moderate in his country, the difference in culture posed by the brutal enlightenment of Wakanda can turn the unawares against him quite quickly.

Noble:
T'Challa is a King in every sense of the word. He carries himself in a way to should only reflect good on his home nation. There is no attempts at social pratfalls. He does not drink to excess. He will not bring shame or dishonor on his land and throne.

Restrained:
T'Challa is typically described as a laconic man, cut from stone and ice. But the truth is that no man feels stronger than he. An endless wellspring of anger for the excesses others have taken with Wakanda and the death of his father is hidden behind years of carefully affected dispassion. He is not one to act rashly, but this also means that protracted periods of battle and strife can weigh on his shoulders heavily over the course of weeks or even months, leading to miscalculations, or even breaks in his nominally stable facade.

Secretive:
As much as T'Challa knows, there are many things he has to keep to himself. State secrets. The identities of his friends and allies. He knows all that information cannot be shared and as such will hold onto it.

Powers

Enhanced Agility:
T'Challa's equilibrium, balance, flexibility, dexterity, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels superior to any Olympic-level athlete that has ever competed.

Enhanced Durability:
His skin, muscle, and bone tissues are augmented to levels that are much denser and harder than normal humans, making him far more durable and resistant to damage to various degrees. But he's by no means bullet and knife-proof.

Enhanced Senses:
T'Challa's five senses are highly acute from the heart-shape herb, although not superhuman. His vision extends into the ultraviolet and infrared areas of the electromagnetic spectrum, allowing him to see in near-total darkness and retain the same level of clarity. T'Challa's hearing is similarly enhanced, enabling him to detect sounds normal humans can't and sounds they ordinarily could but at much greater distances. He can memorize tens of thousands of scents. And his sense of taste is sensitive to the point that he is able to taste the exact ingredients of any particular food he is eating.

Enhanced Speed:
T'Challa is able to run and move at speeds superior to any Olympic-class runners, He is able to run at speeds up to 35 mph. However, when pushed to his limit, T'Challa can potentially run up to 41-45 mph. He also has the ability to attack faster than the eye can follow. His combat speed seems more enhanced than anything else, as he has frequently kept up with other enemies in combat, and blitzed people before they pull their trigger fingers.

Enhanced Strength:
T'Challa's strength is enhanced to the peak of human potential. He received a blessing from the Panther Goddess Bast, which elevated his strength between peak human and superhuman levels. His physical strength is noticeably superior to any Olympic-class weightlifter and far superior to normal humans, allowing him to press lift approximately 800 pounds. His legs extends with his strength enabling him to vertically leap approximately 10 feet off the ground and 15 feet in a standing broad jump.

Healing Factor:
T'Challa's enhanced healing speed and capabilities allows him to have a conditioned metabolism and immune system that enables extraordinarily efficient healing and recovery. While not instanteneous, T'Challa's healing time is roughly half of a normal human.

Panther's Legacy:
As Bast's chosen, T'Challa can access the memories, knowledge and experience of every previous Black Panther that is interred in the Necropolis, an unbroken line stretching back millennia. In extremis he may also call upon their strength, increasing his own several times over (35 ton lift) for periods of at most a few minutes.

Vibranium Awareness:
An unknown effect that intake of the Heart-Shaped Herb has with T'Challa is that it also connects the head of the Panther Tribe to the precious metal which mutated it. Kings of the secret nation possess a sixth sense for the unique energy signature Vibranium gives off, letting them know when it is stolen out from Wakanda and where it's thieves are headed with it.

Skills

Classical Education:
T'Challa has studied outdoorsmanship, tracking, rough terrain traversal, languages (English, Russian, Japanese and French), battlefield tactics, grand strategy, diplomacy, interpersonal charisma and persuasion in preparing to serve his people. He is quite skilled in them as well.

Combat Training:
T'Challa has studied and practiced combat with traditional and advanced Wakandan armaments and common personal firearms as well as unarmed. His personal combat skills are sufficient to hold his ground against preternaturally powered or skilled foes. In addition, the traditional Panther fighting style involves a great deal of acrobatics and mobility so there is some overlap between his fighting skills and gymnastics.

Gifted Intellect:
T'Challa is highly intelligent and has studied engineering and physics well enough to be able to design and produce unique items that take advantage of the technology of his people and has been known to take an interest in applications of science sometimes deemed 'fringe' or 'esoteric'.

Hunter:
Even without his superhuman senses, T'Challa is a master tracker and hunter. He can track prey for days, and through all types of terrain.

Musician:
T'Challa is a skilled musician and can play the flute.

Royal Influence:
As king of Wakanda, T'Challa has access to a vast collection of magical artifacts (with staff approval for story purposes), technological and military hardware, as well as the support of his nation's wide array of scientists, adventurers, and superheroes.

Black Panther's Habit:
Comparable to a holy vestment, the habit of the Panther is a collusion of all technologies its native land can muster. Made from vibranium weave, the bodysuit controls energy and removes the inertia and vibration from matter in contact with it. The exotic weave reduces most conventional melee, ballistic and explosive weapons to nuisances, and offers a "survivable" level of protection against energy and blunt force trauma.

There are different versions of the habit for different circumstances, such as weaker self-deploying ones that can be disguised as or underneath normal clothes, and ones with somewhat heavier protection, particularly one with alchemical protection against magical attack. Chemical gas filters are routine in the habit's mask, as are night vision filters.

Due to the nature of Wakandan vibranium, the habit also provides some degree of control over energy and kinetic forces, allowing the Panther to charge his suit with energy, stick to sheer surfaces, quell sound, break or weaken things by merely being in contact with them, or throw people away from him. There are retractible claws in the suit, as well. These are made of a synthetic anti-metal vibranium, and can rip most other metals apart like so much tin. It can also 'compact' into an ornate necklace that T'Challa usually wears in civilian garb.

Diplomatic Immunity:
As the leader of a sovereign nation, T'Challa often visits the United States or the United Nations for political reasons. He enjoys diplomatic immunity during these trips, and his embassy is considered foreign soil.

Dora Milaje:
The Dora Milaje are a sworn group of faithful women warriors who are well trained and would give their life in a heartbeat for their King. When in Wakanda, T'Challa is always heavily guarded by the Dora Milaje. When travelling the world, T'Challa is still well-guarded with anywhere from 1-5 Dora Milaje agents close and ready to come to their King's aid.

Energy Daggers:
Energy constructed blades. The wielder has the ability to gauge between power levels, releasing a beam, powerful enough to slice through various structures and foe. This weapon can also be fired as a projectile. Energy daggers are T'Challa's default weapon of choice in armed combat situations.

Kimoyo Necklace:
An extremely powerful portable supercomputer/PDA invented by T'Challa. It has the ability to access/hack technological interfaces via Wakandan satellites. It functions similarly to the Avengers' communicards, but with many more practical applications. For instance, he can take over the controls of a vehicle that has a computer interface, or use holographic communications. "Kimoyo" is Bantu for "of the spirit".

King of Wakanda:
T'Challa is by birth and trial the King of Wakanda and has access to such resources as befits his station in addition to the benefits of the connections and diplomatic perks his lineage brings. Separately, T'Challa has private resources resulting from his activities as an engineer and inventor, and these private resources are enough to allow him to live quite comfortably and engage in business ventures when he has the time. Not that he often does.

Royal Entorauge:
T'Challa has no real hideaway, but he bases much of his operations out of local embassies or hotels. His attendance is worth noting, as T'Challa is typically accompanied by a staff of Wakandan doctors, advisors, engineers and guards, capable of performing simple tasks for him. Chief amongst these are his closest personal attendants and guards, the Dora Milaje, and his personal guard who served his father before him. When he is not active as the Panther, these people serve as his hands, his eyes and ears. They drive for him, in an executive limousine fitted with Wakandan anti-assault and theft technology. Most who work under him are peak human, and bear some small advantages of his country's technology where applicable.

Stealth Cloak:
A interwoven vrbanium and technological cloak can be elongated, shortened or eliminated with a thought, and the entire costume can be covered allowing it to pass as normal street clothes or render T'challa completely invisible.

Teleporter Bracelet:
Wakandan tech, seemly built into T'Challa's gauntlets, that allows him to instantly transport small distances (100 yards or less). He can only teleport himself and his gear.

Weaknesses

Bast's Beck and Call:
While T'Challa may be the Black Panther, he also sees to the Panther Goddess' interests on a wide range of sometimes quite dangerous matters. While technically he has free will, Bast would surely replace or depower him if he should anger her so he doesn't really have much choice in these matters.

Feline Bearing:
T'Challa was brought up royal and has lived as a prince or a king for most of his life. It's only recently that he finds himself more at loose ends in the world and that comes at a time when he's spending a lot of his time around ghosts. A combination of rusty social graces and royal reserve can make him seem aloof and distant at times - often rather inconvenient times. And then of course there's the times that the dead or Bast actually DEMAND his attention.

Nation Under My Feet:
T'Challa's priority will always lay with Wakanda's interests, and no other country, ideology or person can breach this trust, and the same would be true as long as his blood remains in his body and irrespective of any title he has or identity he possesses. Very few things he does fail to relate back to Wakanda's needs in some way, and protecting the Wakandan state, sovereignity, its people and its borders figure as a sacred duty first and foremost in his mind. Threatening any part of Wakanda, either literally or figuratively, is fast the way to sour relations with the Panther, and buy his attention---and oftentimes extreme judgment.

Overstimulation:
The downside of having such keen senses is that sudden bursts of light, sound or very strong smells can leave T'Challa dazed or even injured.

Pride of the Panther:
T'Challa has been referred to as a man of exceptional focus. While this is in many ways one of his greatest assets, it is said that your greatest weakness is your greatest strength taken too far. T'Challa is in many ways a man who refuses to settle for second best. When he takes to an idea in his mind, the Panther is not quick to abandon it, regardless of consequence. This means that once offended, T'Challa can quietly and viscerally carry a grudge all the way over a political and literal cliff if need be.

Public Eye:
As King of Wakanda, T'Challa is consistently in the public eye. The Black Panther is a kind of deity that his people worship, but it is an implicit understood that his actions as the Panther are also his actions as King. As such, his actions reflect on his country, and for a country that values its independence, solitude, pride and justice as much as Wakanda, T'Challa must avoid international scandal as well as acts that countermand his will to his people, lest his rule be diminished.
