As a Nordic godling belonging to the darker side of the Norse pantheon, Hella could've easily become an embittered villain, but her good heart and her family's laudaable ethics of doing the right thing, no matter how hard it is, has made her into a very dependable do-gooder. She enjoys shopping online, 'dank memes,' do-gooding, fighting fires, and all animals.

Timeline

Timeline:
* 1999: Hella is born at the original, historic family homestead deep in the Scandinavian North, then is brought to live and grow up at a farm in the rural Russian steppes.
* 2000-2015: Hella grows up isolated, sheltered and happy among her family. She is one of eight children, the latest generation of a group of the Children of Muspelheim, descendents of the Norse god Surtur and keepers of the worship of the dark side of that pantheon. For all that, her life is fairly wholesome and untroubled.
* 2016: Following rumors of hidden godlings, a Russian syndicate with ties to Hydra kidnaps Hella. She is subjected to intense and violent experimentation and torture, essentially putting her under constant assault in an attempt to tap into her deeper powers. The experiments succeed, only for her to unleash her fire breath for the first time and demolish the lab to little more than rubble.
* 2017: Worried that the syndicate may come after her again, Hella says goodbye to her family and finds a way to immigrate to America, settling in New York City.
* 2020: After extensive night school and training, Hella becomes a New York City firefighter, determined to use her powers to help protect the people around her and make the world better.

Dedicated:
Hella wants to do good in the world. She is diligent and arduous by nature. She has a good work ethic from growing up working on the family farm and always does her best every chance she gets.

Dependable:
Hella keeps her promises, always shows up on time, and stays until the job is done. She likes to be someone people can depend on. She's a good listener and an empathetic friend to those who get to know her.

Excitable:
For all the serious things she's gone through, Hella is still very much a young woman. She can be excited about new movies, people, things she bought online at three in the morning, hot dogs, all kinds of stuff. She tends to be very enthusiastic and wear her heart on her sleeve.

Goofy:
Hella has a very silly sense of humor. She has a lot of brothers that she grew up with and that led to a lot of shenanigans, pranking, and general dumb jokes. She'll take any chance she can to lighten the mood.

Passionate:
Hella can be a little tempestuous. Her feelings are barely beneath the skin, and she can switch moods on short notice. But, when she really cares about something, she cares for it with her whole heart. Sometimes, she burns herself as much as she does anyone else.

Allspeak:
An inherent ability to all Asgardians, Hella can understand and speak any known language throughout the Nine Realms.

Bloodline:
Hella's base powers derive from her heritage as a Child of Muspel, one of a group of demigods descended from the apocalyptic Norse god known as Surtur. Like her ancestors before her, Hella possesses a base level of superhuman strength and resistance, ranged at around 25 tons of physical power and invulnerability.

Fire Immunity:
Since she carries the blood of mighty Surtur in her veins, Hella is entirely immune to damage from heat and flame. She can walk through any fire entirely unharmed.

Fire-Breathing:
Hella has the ability to exhale and project magickal flames out through her mouth and nose. She can create a gout of flame up to fifty feet long and capable of melting iron to slag. Recently, she discovered that she is also capable of 'inhaling' or absorbing flames, reducing the amount of damaging fire in an enclosed space of about 2,000 square feet (about the size of an average American home).

Flight:
Hella's demigod heritage enables her to fly on her own power, with a top speed of around two hundred miles per hour. She can maintain flight for about two hours before becoming tired and requiring an equivalent amount of rest.

Fueled By Violence:
Due to her abuse at the hands of a criminal syndicate, Hella has awakened a deeper portion of her inherited abilities as a descendent of the dark gods of the north. These abilities are triggered by being attacked and subjected to physical violence or by adrenaline rush caused by some form of emotional agitation (rage, fear, excitement). Most of the time, her powers will only about double in intensity in terms of strength/toughness (around 50 tons). Under very extreme duress, her strength can increase exponentially before topping just short 100 ton range of superhuman power, as does her resistance to injury. In this overpowered state, she's becomes frenzied, a battle furor which can make her reckless and frightening; she can fight at in this enhanced state for only about fifteen minutes before collapsing in exhaustion.

When attacked, her body becomes hyper-reflexive, like a strained muscle, giving her the ability to bounce and spring away from impacts. If she falls from a great height, she'll bounce onto her feet, or she can ricochet herself from opponent to opponent in a scrum.

Brawling:
While she hasn't had any formal training in combat outside of her family's traditional, decidedly primitive methods, Hella is a very capable brawler. She throws hands hard and likes using her environment to improvise weapons. She's pretty much a meat and potatoes punch and kick fighter, but with her level of physical might, that's usually enough.

Farm Girl:
Hella was raised on her family's farm. She knows how to do the usual chores, operate farm machinery, and understands the cycle of crops. She has extensive experience in animal handling and husbandry of most forms of domestic livestock.

Firefighter:
Hella is a New York City firefighter. She's received extensive training in her work and is very accomplished in her field, even beyond her superhuman gifts. As part of that training, she is qualified in emergency response procedures, CPR, and can assist EMTs during medical emergencies.

Survival:
Hella is adept at living in nature under all kinds of conditions. She can make a fire, forage for berries and nuts, hunt, set traps, acquire drinkable water, find or create suitable shelter, and more. She would be comfortable living outside of civilization for an extended period of time.

Brimstone:
For her twentieth birthday, Hella was gifted with a guardian dog she named Brimstone. A hound of Muspelheim, it carries with it the supernatural essence of Surtur's realm. It appears to be a massive Cane Corso, but those amber eyes can blaze with golden fire that it can breathe like a dragon, similar to its mistress. Brimmy's physical strength lets him barrel through brick walls or chomp through metal plate with his razored fangs.

As they have a very special bond, they are capable of communicating with one another in a way that is uncanny; he is hyperprotective of Hella and can find her no matter how far away she's taken, although he often remains behind at her home while she's out and about. He's obedient within reason, but he can sense when she's in danger and will run to help if he can.

Family:
Hella has an extensive family hidden away in various spots throughout the Scandinavian region of Europe. They are all some variation of super strong and tough and they almost invariably take it badly when one of their own is threatened. They are very far away from her now, but, if she called, they'd be on the first plane.

Income:
Hella works as a firefighter and earns a decent income. Her education is paid for by her family and she receives a generous monthly allowance from them, the family having built up a certain amount of hoarded wealth over the centuries. Altogether, she takes six figures a year and lives very comfortably.

Weaknesses

Berserk:
Hella is a very impassioned individual, but there is a cost for it, greater than most. As she is agitated and/or attacked, her strength and toughness ramp up, but so too does the rage that fills her mind. At the highest levels of her strength, she is a pure fanatic, dishing out violence at every turn and without a great deal of control over her behavior. This isn't always good for working with others, but the nearly-demonic aspect of her heritage is amplified within her now and she hasn't learned to control it.

Dark Ties:
Surtur, the Children of Muspel, and her family line, in general, have a dark reputation. They have ties to Ragnarok and the death of the gods. They are often seen as harbingers of the apocalypse. Those aligned with the traditional Norse pantheon or even other gods may react with suspicion and fear when they learn of Hella's nature.

First Strike:
Hella is at her weakest if she's the one who initiates a fight. She generally has to be attacked fairly vigorously to begin growing empowered by violence and rage. The only exception is if someone does something so angering or exciting that she's immediately set to 11.

Magic:
The craving for violence and war that runs through her blood doesn't count spellcasting and sorcery as forms of attack, so she is particularly vulnerable to attacks by wizards and witches and the like. She can be bespelled and enchanted or simply directly attacked by magickal energies in ways that ignore her usual levels of invulnerability.

Off-Guard:
While Hella gains in strength and toughness through combat, an initial attack of sufficient power to knock her unconscious can render her helpless and early attacks in general have a chance to cause greater damage to her before her powers enhance her.
