Date of Scene: 09 February 2022
Location: New York Harbor Docks
Synopsis: Lara hires a Foot assistant, but then rejects her when she finds out that she's an assassin.
Cast of Characters: Lara Croft, Shredder

Lara Croft has posed:
Lara has a check-list pulled up on a rugged tablet computer. She currently monitors the loaders putting stuff onto her boat. All that's left is the crew. After how dangerous her last big trip was, she has decided to hire out for this one. Hazards are hazards, and putting her friends in harms way was just inconsiderate of her.

Shredder has posed:
Onto the boat lands a light figure. Leather jacket and black jeans, brown backpack and a red top, the young woman can't be older than about 22 years old with a haircut that looks like it belongs on a former military guy. Her blond hair is uniformly less than an inch long, and she makes her way to the cabin of the boat, knocking on the side of the door. "Is this the boat to Key Largo?" she asks, the previously established phrase to confirm that she has Lara. After all, there's not likely andy small boats that are on their way to Key Largo from this dock.

Lara Croft has posed:
Lara's got her head deep in figures as she looks at the pad. However, in a second, the phrase gets through and she looks up. "What?" She asks. "Oh, hello." She looks down and swipes to another app. "I've been expecting you," she says. She extends a hand, "Lara Croft. I'm who you're looking for."

Shredder has posed:
Jennika narrows her eyes a moment. "Yeah," she says. "So. I'm told you got a problem with somethin? Need to get some kinda thing without getting caught, is that right?" she asks, unshouldering her backpack and dropping it by the door of the cabin.

Lara Croft has posed:
Lara raises an eyebrow and watches the other woman. She looks past her to another crate of supplies being loaded. "An interesting way to put it," she admits. "There's a relic I'm hoping to find. Ideally, we won't see anyone else once we get to the island. Worst case, there might be some uninvited guests. I won't lie to you," she says, pulling her tablet close to her chest. "There is the chance someone might shoot at you on this trip."

Shredder has posed:
Jennika smirks. "I'm a Foot Assassin," she says simply. "If things go well they never know I was there before it is too late. But it wouldn't be the first time I was shot at." She doesn't seem to be concerned for her safety, a certain youthful arrogance that she's invincible in her swagger.

Lara Croft has posed:
Lara furrows her brow. She huffs out a sigh. "Alright, I don't know what agency got contracted to send you over, but I would like you to get off my boat now, please." She shakes her head. "I'm trying to defeat Trinity, not join them."

Shredder has posed:
Jennika squints one eye in confusion. "You contracted for this," she says. "You want help or not? You're payin' an awful pretty penny just to send me home," she says.

Lara Croft has posed:
Lara looks at Jennika in a way that would be much more at home on her face if she was wearing reading glasses. "I'm well aware of the price I paid," she says. "I believe I've made my request quite clear. Disembark this vessel," she insists, calmly.

Shredder has posed:
Jennika stares in confusion for a few more seconds, and then shrugs with a shake of her head. She grabs her backpack, and picks it back up to her shoulder. "Suit yourself," she says. "Easiest paycheck I ever made." She backs out the door, and starts on her way back toward the ramp to exit the boat.
