Cast of Characters: Zatanna Zatara, Carrie Kelley, Daisy Johnson

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
"You can't stop me, I'm the ultimate agent of chaos!" Graviton roared as he was pulled closer and closer to the Chest of Wonder by Zatanna's spell.

"That's funny, because someone once told me that magic is chaos incarnate, and you, sir, are no magician... now for my next trick, I'm going to need an assistant. Ah, yes, you, in the colorful costume!" Zatanna winks saucily at Carrie. "When I give the word, close the box!" With that, she pushes her hands together, magic directly against gravity and she strains, before calling out. "DLEIHS ot yreviled rof xob eht ni Notivarg tup."

Graviton cries out, "Noooo....!" and flies into the box, decorated like a simple magician's cabinet. "Now, Robin! Seal and lock it, before he gets out!"

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Sparrow, aka Carrie in costume, just watches as this occurs. She'd already done her part in this after all, and when it came to magic she knew to just get the heck out of the way. At least until Zatanna points her way to urge her to close the lid of the box. A simple two-fingered salute is given as she waits for the appropriate moment.

When Graviton disapears inside she merely lifts a foot to clamp the lid shut with the bottom of her boot. Better than risk getting her fingers in there. "Has anyone ever told you, that you like to put on a show maybe a bit *too* much, Zatanna?" She points out with a wry grin. "That works though."

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
Pushing some hair behind her ear, Zatanna adjusts her hat with a grin to Carrie. "Funny, noone ever complains." comes the teasing remark. "Maybe it's the fishnets and corsets?" she asks curiously, as she wiggles her fingers at Carrie's communicator.

"Ytiurces artxe deen lliw yeht meht mrofni dna DLEIHS tcatnoc." And Sparrow's comm immediately connects with the first super-powered SHIELD agent it can find. That would be Daisy.

Zatanna let her fingers do the walking and reached out to touch someone. "Sorry, left my phone in my pants."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Daisy had been enjoying a good day after some recent missions for SHIELD, which meant lounging out by the computer like an hermit and poke about the webz yet then a call came out. From SHIELD. Another mission?

No, not from SHIELD, but using the secure methods. How curious. She taps on it, the link brought up on her computer and she putting on an headset. A furrowed brow and then she speaks in what she hopes is a professional tone. Never the one for too much formality. "Agent Johnson here. What's going on?" she questions, even as she attempts to run some kind of tracking to the call. One can never be too careful! Or paranoid...

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Sparrow starts to reach for her comm to make the call when Zatanna beats her to it. "Show off," she mutters with a little shake of her head at the sorceress. "Do you even have pants? I thought the fishnets were like a permanent thing. Like the ruby slippers for the Wicked Witch." A little grin comes, and she hears Daisy over the comm after a moment. Reaching up to tap the side of her comm again she explains in a bit more... thorough a manner...

"Sparrow from Gotham City here. We've captured Graviton and are requesting aid in transferring him to detainment. He's a bit above our usual power level out here."

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
"Oh, I have pants. Do you?" Someone saw Carrie's early booty shorts costumes, and Zatanna grins. "Glass hourses and all that." When she hears the name Agent Johnson, the magician gets a smile. "Hey, I may be able to kill two birds with one stone when she gets here."

Pulling herself into a lotus position to float in mid-air, Zatanna relaxes, while making sure that the Chest of Wonders remains sealed. "If it's who I think it is..." she informs Carrie while they wait. "...Oracle had her on the list of contacts." comes the explanation.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Graviton? Well, that makes her dig into the SHIELD database. Dangerous indeed! And it also springs her up to action. She goes over to fetch her black and blue shield uniform, getting into it, then putting her Quake gloves on even as she continues to speak up with Sparrow. "I can be there soon." and then she ponders... Should she contact her senior officer? Nah, all the bureaucracy, and then preparing a team to be sent. It could take so long until they were ready. So Daisy does what she does best, which is going against normal procedures. She sets a message to be sent to her senior officer ten minutes after she leaves.

"I can be there in around one hour, Sparrow. Send me coordinates."

And then she is off, towards Gotham. Which to be fair she wasn't that far from so it's mostly a small flight with the help of her powers. She begins to arrive, already with her superior officer nagging her to report.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
"Many thanks. Sending coordinates," Sparrow informs as she lifts a hand and makes a quick jerking motion that turns on her touch-type fingertips. So handy to not have to use an actual keypad anymore. She touch-types in the air sending them over as requested, then makes a quick cutting motion to shut the device off again. Her own little magic in a way.

"Hey, to be fair, the boys wore that first. I upgraded to pants as soon as it got cold out." She did, actually. The mention of Oracle's list earns a little nod of thought. "That might work out nicely then, yeah. Provided that box can hold Mr. Ego in there. Seriously, what a jerk."

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
Zatanna considers the box, then shrugs. "The inside of the box is a pocket dimension. There's no exits, no directions, and no light until someone opens the box." she explains. "So I think he's pretty well held." There's a little smile at that. When Daisy mentions it might be an hour, Zatanna reaches into her coat and pulls out a deck of cards. "Know any good card games?" she asks Carrie as she floats over to the chest.

Which may be how Daisy finds the pair, Zatanna in her fishnets, corset and waistcoat with top hat, and Carrie as Sparrow as there's a deck of cards on the chest, and Zatanna is looking at the cards in her hand. "Hmm. Have any eights?" she asks the colorful Girl Wonder.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Not flying all the way over Daisy lands a couple of streets away from where the duo is, the rest she making on her feet, tapping on the side of her visor. "Yes, sir. I am close. Of course, when the asset is retrieved I will let you know. Yes--. Sure--" then a frown at all the interruptions she is getting from her superior, she really doesn't like her new superior officer. "Agent Thornton, I am losing comms, must be this Gotham weather. You know how it is ... I will open comms again once I have secured the asset."

*Click* Silence at last. And so eventually Daisy does come out of the side of a building and into sight, uniform and gloves, the near transparent visor on. All very SHIELD tech apparently, to the exception of those gloves that don't seem to be standard issue gear. She approaches.

"Hey. I am Daisy." she eyes the game going on and can't help to let out an half-grin. "Damn, did I take -that- long?"

Carrie Kelley has posed:
"Go fi---Fuck!" Sparrow blurts out as she nudges a card aside to see the eight hiding behind it. With a sigh she flicks the card over to Zatanna. "I didn't even see that in there, how the hell..." Thankfully this is around when Daisy arrives. Flashing a grin toward her she can only offer up a little shrug. "Honestly I usually don't stick around for the authorities to pick people up. I just tag 'em and bag 'em and let them know where to find them. In this case though..." She taps a finger against the top of the box of wonders or whatever it was.

"I'm Sparrow, this is Zatanna. Thanks for coming. I'd offer to deal you in for a hand or two but I swear she cheats somehow."

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
"Hi Daisy." Zatanna offers up. "And this..." she raps her knuckles on the chest. "...is Graviton." comes the bright offer as she collects the eight from Sparrow to set in her hand and sets aside the full set. "I'm out of cards." There's a wink at Carrie, before she turns her attention to Daisy more fully. "So, since we have a few moments here..."

Clearing her throat, the sorceress considers Daisy and listens to her as she has 'Gotham weather' on her comms. That brings a grin to the sorceress' lips as she raises her hands, and makes a small spell -- the next thing up is a silent area, no sound coming in, no sound going out. "So I was told by a bird that you were interested in working with some like minded women to handle threats and such." she offers to Daisy.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"Isn't card games all about cheating without the other person finding out? That's what makes it fun." An easy grin on Daisy's expression when she greets them, first Sparrow, then a nod to Zatanna. "Good to meet you both. Some people call me Quake too." never Tremors. And finally she glances down to the chest. That's not what she had read that Graviton looked like but ..., someone dressed as a magician of sorts.

"That's one interesting way to restrain someone.." Her brows quirking up. Though she has seem a few strange things by now with her time at SHIELD. A glance about the area, then back in. Magic? It does make her curious. "Yes, that is true." she furrows her brows briefly. "I suppose this message directly to me was no coincidence then.." she looks between the two other women.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Carrie Kelley just holds her hands out gesturing at Zatanna while looking at Daisy with a 'see what I have to deal with?' expression. The cards are placed down though, and she pushes up to her feet to dust her hands off on her thighs with a few quick claps. "Actually it was a coincidence, but no sense in waisting time since it happened, right?" A grin is flashed to the other woman.

"We're both with the Birds of Prey. Though I think Zee has more clout than I do. I'm just the long-time Gothamite here."

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
Zatanna smiles coyly. "Magic has few coincidences." she admits. "It was just happenstance that you were in the neighborhood." Or was it? The magician doesn't share her secrets easily as she slides out of her floating lotus back to her standing position. "So you already showed that you don't tell SHIELD everything you do, which is a good thing, because they don't need to know everything, though I'm sure that a liaison would be a good thing..."

"...however, a lot of what we do relies on us being able to communicate with each other. I was on the Justice League before it came apart at the seams, and I'd rather not see that happen again. So. We're almost like a family the way we work together. Especially with the core group, they were all working together in some way and decided they needed to do things without the boys. Can you be on board with that?"

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"It's good to follow rules, to an extent. I often find it's more important to do things our own way than rely too much on the bureaucratic process." Daisy replies with a nod. "But yes, working as a liaison for a group should do well for me. I am not here from Gotham so I could work as a connection out in New York. Or in this case, SHIELD." she offers, looking from one to the other.

"And yes, I can certainly be on board with it."

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Sparrow listens to the exchange between the two with a nod here and there. "We're more about being a means to share information. Sure, we fight together sometimes, but that network is the most important thing. Oracle is our leader," she puts forth. "Or organizer as it may be. She's the best at that sort of stuff."

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
"We all discovered at some point in our lives that people don't like to share things. We're trying to change that." Zatanna shrugs. "Oracle thinks you'll be a good fit. I can see why. Spunk or something like that." she chuckles. "I'm just the advisor on all things magical, you won't often see me in the field like this, but Sparrow said she'd want help. And well, we have you at a disadvantage. I'm usually the only one with a public identity in the group. At least until things relax and we get to know you better. Is that okay?" she asks.

And then a glance over at Carrie. "Do you have any questions for her. I know that Papa Bat taught you all to be super secretive and such and ask all the questions."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Quake's attention goes to Sparrow, nodding in understanding. "I can bring my aid for that too, in terms of communication, both with some of SHIELD's resources and my own ability in establishing said network." which is most likely what Oracle thought as a good fit, considering Daisy's own online presence as former hacktivist and all around computer genius! (The genius might be an exaggeration).

The mention of secrecy brings a nod out of her. She understands that well, even if the identity she has now isn't secret. "I understand that completely. Better be safe than sorry, my aim is to help in where I can." she states, folding her arms together, remaining close to the chest.

Carrie Kelley has posed:
Mention of secrecy and Papa Bat earns a little scowl from Sparrow that would not be misplaced on the man in question. A single deep breath is drawn, and let out. "I'm not him. I watch, I observe, I make my decisions based on that. If she's already in SHIELD she's got a level of clearance most run-of-the-mill street vigilantes don't. That said..."

The expression softens a little. "I'm quite all right with seeing how things work out. The amount of paranoia and suspicion that I've grown up with is part of why we're trying something new."

Daisy Johnson has posed:
The scowl makes Daisy blink once, watching Sparrow for a few moments, perhaps considering whether to ask on it or not but then seems to choose not to. They have just met afterall! Instead she smiles, dipping her head, understanding. "Amen to that. There's enough paranoia about for a lifetime already." she murmurs. Of course that with her more, ahem, questionable past it's often something deserved. "I will give you my direct contacts for anything you might need. You will find that I am constantly online, or at least reachable. So anything required either out of my own possibilities or SHIELD's ... Just let me know."

Then a nod down to the chest, a brow quirking. "Any .., advice on how to handle this chest back to SHIELD?"

Zatanna Zatara has posed:
"I'd suggest a do not open til Christmas sticker. Once you have him secure, return the chest to me? It's one of my favorites." Zatanna says as she taps on the wood. "You good in there?"

It's a good thing the wood muffles the noises from the box, those words aren't nice.

A smile is given quickly to Sparrow. "I swear that's the first thing that Batman tries to teach all of you. But not to make light of the situation, he's probably safest in the box until you're ready for him." She shrugs.

"But I'll let Oracle know to send you the welcome package?"

Daisy Johnson has posed:
"Mmm, does the welcome package come with good insurance..?" Then Daisy winces at it, shaking her head at the bad joke. "Sorry." yet then as they all seem to be reaching an agreement she grins. "But yes, seems good. I will make sure to return it when we get the guy secure." she reaching over to pick up the chest. Might be an interesting trip back to the triskelion. And then she remembers she will have to report soon to her superior officer. A sigh.

"I will leave you guys having fun here while I go handle this bad boy. Take care." And she reaches up to turn on her comm device. Oh, this will certainly be 'fun'.
