Just a Pizza
Date of Scene: 08 May 2022
Location: 1A - Mairin's Studio Apartment
Synopsis: Pajamas, pizza, Peter. It's a low key date, Spider-Man!
Cast of Characters: Susan Sullivan, Peter Parker

Susan Sullivan has posed:
Susan puts her laptop aside, hopping out of her seat. She's dressed in her pajamas, given the time. She's showered, washing her now nearly neck-length hair, though it's already dried. It's nice to have hair again after having been a bald undead for so long. She peeks out the peephole at the hallway outside. She smiles as she recognizes the familiar face in the hallway. Undoing the chain and the deadbolt and whatever else, she turns the handle and pulls open the door wide. "Peter!" she says, her face beaming as she sees her beautiful beau on her...well, the welcome mat of the apartment she's sitting.

Peter Parker has posed:
"Hey there," replies Peter, with that lopsided grin that seems to be reserved for her. "I was, uh, swinging through the neighborhood," he says, glancing around up and down the hallway, that grin extended a bit. "And thought I'd swing by and see if you were up to anything." He has, in his hand, a pizza box. Perhaps there was more than just a random swing by involved. That, or he mugged a pizza guy. Or went back to delivering pizzas, and was stopping by on the clock.
"I know it's not the Four Seasons, but if you wanted to split a pizza with me..." He realizes suddenly that she is in her pajamas. "It's too late, I'm sorry, I..."

Susan Sullivan has posed:
Susan huffs out a breath through her nose as she bites the corner of her bottom lip. She reaches out and grabs Peter, pulling him inside. She closes the door and pushes him against it, pressing herself against him to give him a deep kiss as a reward for his attentiveness. As the kiss lingers, she's locking the door, but mostly because she always locks the door, not so much for privacy.

Peter Parker has posed:
Thankfully, Peter has the reflexes, agility, and balance of a spider, and so as he is grabbed and thrown against the door, he manages to keep the pizza upright in his one hand. It probably also helps that his fingers can grip the box the same way he clings to buildings. Else between the effort and the...distraction...the pizza was liable to end up on the floor.
After recovering from the initial surprise, hde returns the kiss easily enough, certainly not objecting as it lingers for the duration of the door locking and beyond.

Susan Sullivan has posed:
It ends as abruptly as it began, but Susan doesn't stop smiling. Taking the pizza box from him, she says, "That's for paying attention." She takes it to the coffee table and puts it down, opening the box. "Ooh," she says, "pepperoni. Classic." She goes to the kitchen and gets plates and paper towels, bringing them back. She looks at him longingly and reaches out, running her fingers through his hair. "Thank you so much, Peter. For taking me seriously. I love you," she says. She means it, but it is the first time she's spat those words out in front of him. They come so easily for her.

Peter Parker has posed:
"Of course I pay attention. I'm very detail oriented." Peter's not, but it sort of sounds cute for him to claim it, at least. "I'm very much a classic kinda guy." That was true, at least. He smiles and leans into her fingers as she brings back the plates, and then moves to follow her.
"Why wouldn't I take you seriously?" he asks, seemingly perplexed by the statement. Enough that he seems to, at least for the moment, deftly sidestep the others, focusing on that particular question.

Susan Sullivan has posed:
"Just seems like you weren't at first," she says. "After that night...the one at the Fat Burger or whatever it was called...after we talked, you've really stepped up your game. I...you always had me, Peter--first sight kinda thing--but now it's like, every time you do something like this, I swoon a little, inside."

Peter Parker has posed:
That lopsided grin resurfaces again. "Well, I realized what was important to you. And what's important to you is important to me, so..." Peter shrugs. "I'm happy I can make you swoon. I hope I can keep doing that." He reaches out to ruffle her hair a bit. "Here's to more swooning." He leans in to brush his lips gently against hers.

Susan Sullivan has posed:
Susan rewards his attempt to kiss her with another to him. The pizza is nearly forgotten as she pulls him against herself, moving her head to his shoulder and curling her legs up next to her on the sofa. Crossing her arm over herself, she puts it on his chest and grips his shirt, tightly. She didn't let it out, but she had been so lonely since even before she died. Closing her eyes, she takes a few deep breaths, letting them out slowly as she just soaked in her boyfriend's presence. Before, they were official, but now, it felt like she was actually with him, not just next to him. She didn't cry, but only because she forced herself not to.

Susan Sullivan has posed:
Susan lets out a sigh once she composes herself. She sits up, away from Peter, looking into his eyes and smiling. She doesn't say anything, but grabs a slice of pizza in each hand, puts them onto the plates, and offers one to Peter. "I know you have a high caloric intake need, so eat as much as you need. I'm just super happy you brought me a date food and we get to share it." Peter did good, apparently.

Peter Parker has posed:
"It does do a spider good," replies Peter, with a grin as he accepts the plate, reaching over with his other hand to snag the slice from it. "I mean, who else am I going to share a great pizza with?" he asks, settling back onto the couch. He sets the plate on the end table behind them, sliding the now free hand around Susan's shoulders to snuggle a bit into her, and then takes a good bite out of the pizza.

Susan Sullivan has posed:
Susan can't stop herself smiling. She looks at her slice of pizza for several moments. "Don't stop," she says to Peter. "You're making me very happy. Don't let my behavior tonight influence you, just...don't stop being the sweet, thoughtful, adorable guy I met in the park that day." She looks at him. She reaches out and caresses his cheek, love in her eyes. "Mine," she says, happy tears welling in her eyes.

Peter Parker has posed:
"It's who I am, Susan. I can't stop." Peter shrugs a bit, not quite sure what she thinks he might stop, but he seems satisfied that whatever it is, it is him. He gives her arm a bit of a squeeze, as he continues to munch on the pizza. He nods in slow agreement, leaning his head over towards her fingers, and nods. "Yours," he near-echoes.

Susan Sullivan has posed:
Susan wiggles back, curling her legs up and leaning happily against Peter. Picking up her pizza, she takes a bite. She lets out a contented sigh, though it's not clear if it's the pizza or the company. Probably both.
