Synopsis: Mary Jane and Angela chat at the Swordfish about stabbing times.
Cast of Characters: Mary Jane Watson, Aldrif Odinsdottir

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
They hadn't had time to spend together quite that often since Angela had joined SHIELD on an 'as needed' basis. So Mary Jane had managed to set aside some time with Angela when the stabby ribboned assassin of Heven wasn't occupied. Sitting over at a table in the Swordfish, a small package over on it.

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela has never been one to socialize, not even when she was in Heaven. Other angels would, true, but since she was wingless and something of a black sheep, she spent most of her time working to prove herself. Here in Midgard, however, she has found herself with more free time than she knew what to do with.

She was invited to the SWORDFISH by Mary Jane and had decided to go. She liked the woman's company well enough, and liked the company of Sonja even more. So she's here. She's dressed casually, forgoing the battle bikini armor in favor of jeans and a plain white tee. She'd left Xiphos, The Sword of the Stars, at home, but she hadn't left completely unarmed. The Blades of Ichor rest on her wrists as bands of gold, and her ribbon trails behind her.

"Hail and well met," she says approaching MJ. "How fare you tonight?"

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would smile over, "Hey Angela, I hope that all of your fights have ended in victory and the blood and anguish of your adversaries." That's what the Sonja part of her mind says is the polite way to greet someone of Angela's stature. So what limitations that Angela might have in socialization hopefully can be made upfor in part due to Mary Jane'x extrovertedness and Sonja's willingness to turn almos tany circumstances to a melee.
"I got you something to celebrate you getting in. I mean.. It's not very much, but I thought it was something you might get a laugh at." She would go to push the small box over. "And I'm doing fairly well. Tempo of missions lately has cooled down so I have more time to train."

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela sits down and nods, "They have, indeed. Midgard is not bereft of battles to be fought." She glances down at the gift and scowls. "I have not brought you anything for compensation," she says, taking up the wrapped package and turning it around in her hands. "I will pay for your drinks and food tonight, then, in exchange."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would smile, "It's fine. It's an exchange of appreciation. For your skills and service and impressions you have made. And to coming triumphs to have together." Sonja's voice filling those bits in for her. The package inside has a light jangle of small jewelry.

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
"Still, I insist," Angela says, carefully opening the package. Pulling out a pair of large earrings with SHIELD's logo she lets out a bark of laughter. "I somehow do not think these are standard issue for an agent. Normally we wear keepsakes of our most dangerous hunts in our ears, but I will make an exception for these." She puts down the box to take out the jewelry and puts them in her ears.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would smile, "No, thye are not, nor are they found over in the gift shop. I still got the image from somewhere and thought they would be cute. And I'm glad that you like them." She would giggle over. "And you don't have to wear them for my sake." When was the last time that Angela had been given some jewelry? "I do hope that you find them amusing."

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
"I was not aware that SHILED has a gift shop," admits Angela. "Of course I do not have to wear them," she says. "What I wear is my choice. They are amusing enough."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would grin, "Lovely. I do think you look cute in them. Definitely will catch a few people by surprise. Maybe it will give you an extra split second where you're going to cave them in two."

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela raises an eyebrow. "Cute?" She's been called many things in her considerable lifetime, but 'cute' has never been one of them. (Except maybe by Sara, that one time.) She shakes her head and almost grins. "Perhaps it just might. I wonder if I wear these, Director Carter will let me wear my more traditional battle wear."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would nod over, "I don't quite think so. I'm pretty sure that having uniforms all meet regulation while we're in a field mission is necessary for team integration and avoiding distraction. But no reason why you're not out and about on your own and fighting or folks are off duty you can't." The thought of Angela on a mission that way with the earrings has her giggling.

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
"Unfortunate," Angela says, flagging down one of the wait staff. "I'll have an ale," she says. "And those fried sticks of cheese. What were they called?" She thinks for a moment, "Ah, yes. Mozzarella. What will you be having?"

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would smile, "I'll just have the pumpkin pie with jalapenos. Figure I'll see how the two go together." Someone was living dangerously - at least by the standards of the mess hall/caveteria.

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela isn't familiar enough with American cuisine to know how odd of a combination that is. "Nothing to drink?" she asks curiously. "Where I'm from it is customary to order alcohol in alehouses like this."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would shake her head, "no, as far as the law goes I'm not of legal age. And.." She would point at her head, "I don't have the alcohol resistance she has. Or she had. And she disbelieves me on it."

Aldrif Odinsdottir has posed:
Angela shakes her head. "I will never understand the concept of 'drinking age', and why it is that you have to wait until you are so old. If you are old enough to hold your own in battle, you are old enough to drink."

"Tell me," she says, leaning back in her chair. "How did you come by being paired with Sonja? It is an unusual occurrence."

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would laugh, "It's just part of a.. Legal thing. And there's enough weirdness in life going on that I'd rather not push my luck in a bar filled with secret agents and superspies. Seems like one less cliff to try and walk off of." She would take a bite of her pie in thought.
"Uh.. I was in the Natural History Museum in the city. The.. One where I met you at. At that exhibit. There was a sword there tha.. Used to be her's. A long, long time ago." By the definition of mortals. Perhaps even by some gods.
"I went to grab at it when something happened. Then she was.. Inside of me. We've been co-habiting sicne."
