Date of Scene: 21 April 2020
Location: Back Yard
Synopsis: Cable meets Dazzler and they have a nice chat on the porch.
Cast of Characters: Cable, Alison Blaire

Cable has posed:
The sun had long since gone over the horizon, allowing the sky to be painting black with stars set like glittering stones in the night sky. While for many (and they are) would be asleep at this time, this was not the case for one Cable, who has a habit of not sleeping when he should.

Instead, he's taken one of the back patio chairs and he seems to just be looking up at the sky. He wears clothes of a darker shade, with gloves and a leather jacket to help cover his metallic arm. Though he is armed to the literal teeth, none of his weapons are visible, and he appears to be very much so alone.

But for how much longer?

Alison Blaire has posed:
Holding a cup of tea, Alison slips out to the back patio in jeans and a large knit sweater. Heading towards the patio railing, Ali pauses seeing she isn't alone. "Oh. Hi. Sorry, I'm used to the patio being pretty empty." She offers and sets her cup on the rail lightly. Leaning she looks at Cable curiously. "Whoa. You look as armored as Bishop. You don't know him do you?" She wonders.

Cable has posed:
Cable turns his attention to Alison when she walks out onto the patio and leans against the railing, apparently greeting her with a kind smile before he shakes his head. "Don't worry about it. Its not like you knew I was out here." He shrugs though. "I know a version of Bishop and we are not friends. This bishop seems to be a little more peaceful-minded...lets hope it stays that way. But thats a long story." He looks at her then. "Whats wrong, can't sleep?"

He waits for her reply patiently, though he noticeably doesn't have any drinks to speak of or any kind of food. He was likely just out there gathering his thoughts.

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Ah. I have some lyrics tumbling around in my head. Falling stars, comets. I thought it might be good to get some fresh air and have a puzzle or I'll never sleep." She lets her tea set down and turns about to offer Cable her hand. "I'm Dazzler-Alison." She offers and grins with a friendly expression. "Is he peaceful? Bishop? He certainly seems helpful at least."

Cable has posed:
Cable nods softly. "I see. You a singer? a performer?" Cable asks Alison for a moment as he does indeed reach out with a gloved hand to shake her own. Its firm, but its swift and gentle almost at the same time. But he gestures to the chair beside him so that Alison doesn't have to stand.

"Nathan." Cable introduces himself officially before he looks back out to the sky when asked further about bishop. "Is he peaceful? Depends on your view of peace. He's a fighter, pure and simple. As am I. As are many in that building. But this version of Bishop? I think he's very peaceful for the moment."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"I am." Alison nods. "One of the few entertainers openly mutant presently." Gesturing to her tea when he offers her a seat the singer shakes her head. "I think better on my feet. But Bishop...he fights differently than we're trained. Permanently maiming someone I think wouldn't trouble him, where I'm trying to focus my light blasts to be non-fatal, or permanently blinding." She reaches out for her tea and shrugs. "His world is just more dangerous than ours I suppose."

Cable has posed:
Nathan nods softly to Alison as she speaks and doesn't seem offended when Alison appears to be much more comfortable on her feet than in a relatively comfortable chair. "Good for you, Alison. The more we can tell people that we are just like them, just a little bit different, the better we will be able to prove that we can all coexist." he says in approval of her good work, though he does ponder a moment when she speaks about Bishop.

"If only you knew."

Whats that supposed to mean? "Bishop and I have a long history. A more...sinister version of him came after Hope, and I fought him on many battlegrounds. He's dangerous, but he has good intentions. He means well. He's had to survive things that you wouldn't imagine."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Certainly different from the star-struck laser sponge I met." Alison nods and lifts her tea, taking a slow sip. "So you are a time traveler then...I had a feeling. I feel bad though. I'd teased him that most of the time travelers we know are Summers' or Greys' and here you are. I'll have to amend my statement." The singer considers Cable a moment. "I wonder if there's a future where our existence is not so tied to fighting?"

Cable has posed:
Cable seems to look very amused. "You're a sharp one." he compliments her intelligence and deductive capability before he speaks. "Yeah, I used my last jump to get here. Got lucky, and to add to that luck, I was looking for Hope after we got seperated." he hums a long moment, before he chuckles and looks at Alison. "True enough. As for the future...I can't say. All I know is that its never truly set."

Alison Blaire has posed:
"Intuition keeps us mutants out of cages." Alison notes and cradles her tea close to her chest. "I'll hope that the future can be changed. Everyone I've met from a time past ours has such a grim air about them. I can't imagine a world where joy is not so ready." Admitting something so childish she looks into her mug. "That's the artist in me I suppose. If you used your last-jump is it? I hope you don't find things here too-lonely. Your whole world is out of touch after all." She looks at Nathan after a moment. "I'd hate that."

Cable has posed:
Cable nods softly. "There are many events that may occur that will lead to these bleak outcomes. But hopefully...and maybe, just maybe...we'll create a brighter future. But...its time I went to bed. I understand Hope wants to talk to me about something tomorrow." He stands up out of his chair and he looks at Alison. "I thank you though, for your sympathy. Have hope for a brighter future, and it may yet come Alison. Have a good night." and with that, Cable heads inside.

Alison Blaire has posed:
Watching Cable rise, Alison nods a bit. "It was nice to meet you. Let's both hope things turn out well." She offers and lifts her tea to sip on it again. As he heads inside, the singer turns back around to look up at the stars humming a few bars of melody to herself.
