Cast of Characters: Emma Frost, Scott Summers

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost is coming out to the pool. The air is brisk and it's a fall day. Emma has in front of her a copy of Fortune Magazine, the latest issues of the Daily Bugle and the Daily Planet, and a few other newspapers held under an arm. She's moving then to slide over to take one of the outside seats, a martini over in her open hand as she would go to set the papers out on one of the pool tables to start to flip through to the business sections.

Scott Summers has posed:
Scott comes into view around the side of the house, carrying the long-hosed pool cleaning machine. He pauses when he spots Emma, and then straightens his back and continues on over. "Afternoon, Emma," the man calls out. He lowers the device into the pool and it hums to life, beginning to move slowly along the bottom and sides of the pool.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would glance at Scott, then putting the papers she had been starting to sort through down. "Greetings, Scott. I hope that all finds you well and that things function with the team." The occasional ally of the x-Men would go. "And cleaning time?"

Scott Summers has posed:
"Figured it needed to be done," the man replied to her. He crosses his arms over his chest as he watches the cleaner down in the water. "Things are going," he replied. "The team is fine, too. How are you? Busy with....?"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would nod, "Oh, yes. It needs to be done nwo that it's the end of the season after all and before the pool is shut down." She would stretch out. "And reading some business news to get an idea to the possible public reactions if I go for a takeover of some smaller competitors."

Scott Summers has posed:
"Hats off to you, I guess. I could never be cutthroat enough to do what you do." He brushed his fingers back through his brown hair, and did a good job of NOT staring at the ice queen when she stretched. Instead, he glanced back towards the mansion. "Yeah, we'll have snow before too long. My favorite, honestly. I love scarf weather."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would glance at Scott, "It's merely an extension of combat by another means. As a leader one does have to make decisions for the best of the group after all. It's merely a different form of it and for different reasons and incentives." She would smile. "And I didn't know. Please do go on. I thought aht perhaps Robert might have driven any such enjoyment from you."

Scott Summers has posed:
"Different battlefield. Very Macchiavellian," he replied with a chuckle. The mention of Robert brought a laugh, and he shook his head and glanced back to her. "Oh, not at all. My family used to vacation in Alaska, when I was little. My dad liked the flying out there, and I just loved playing in the snow. Fishing, too, but don't tell Logan."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would chuckle, "Very much like politics. And lobbying. I'm sure that you're familair with both. Or if you think about it, academic. Plays for tenure are much the same way if not worse as they are so personal." She would nod at him and listen. "Gorgeous. Somewhere I've never been."

Scott Summers has posed:
"Might be a bit cold in the outfits you prefer," he replies with a teasing grin. He knelt to adjust the cord on the machine so it could reach all the areas of the pool. "So, what brings you to the manor?"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would smile, "Why thank you. I do however like to think I'm making sure eveyrone around me feels rather warmed up. So it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make. And I'm here merely for a change of pace. Some of the smaller companies I'm looking into work with genetics. I thought if I had questions I could ask for perspectives on."
