Nettie Crowe has posed:
There was a small fire that was keeping the cottage warm in the early days of autumn in Ireland. The grasses around had been mowed recently by a herd of half-feral sheep kept in check with a ginger colored sheepdog and an elderly man who actually owned the property. It was his understanding that the cottage was occupied by a friend of an aunt, who had passed many, many years ago. Before his birth. He generally left her well enough alone.

The fire had hosted a heavy cast iron kettle, from which boiling water had been poured. Oatmeal was made up, with blueberries picked from a summer camp in Maine, and sweetened with cream from local stock. The cottage was warm enough for a T-shirt, but a sweater made it cozy.

Tynan wound find herself beneath a wool blanket on a long, but comfortable padded cot near the fire, and near where the old woman herself was, of all things, knitting and singing.

"I gave my love a cherry that had no stone, I gave my love a chicken that was lacking a bone. I told my love a story that was without an end, I gave my love a baby with no crying."

THere was a simple, brown teapot with an overturned cup and a bowl of steaming oatmeal and blueberries with sweet cream set on a tray near Tynan.

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty sits up in the bed. She's still a bit heated. The woman flexes her arms a little bit, and tests her fingers. After using so much of her mutant power with the magic, the woman was nervious as to the effects of things. SHe shakes her head a little bit as she looks at the oatmeal. She takes a breath, letting it out slowly as she picks up the bowl.

Ty takes a few bites of it, and winces a bit as she's a bit sore from the former burns. The woman then starts looking for her boots. Her charm is in the heel of the boot, and without it, she can't use her radar.

"So...Is this Ireland, New York, or Hell?", she asks. The woman looks around. "I can only assume that everyone has left, and I'll be travelling on my own back to the States.", she states.

Nettie Crowe has posed:
"Ireland. County Leitrim, near Lough Gill." Nettie explains as she knits, and rocks quietly. "This is where I lived before I moved to New York. Share ownership of it with my wife's great nephew." Nettie adds, and she rolls a shoulder. "You an' Miss Kinney worked out your problems in a satisfactory way, I s'pose. Sent her home to recouperate. You, though, you I've got some concerns for." Nettie states.

"And don't be ridiculous. I brought you here. Least I can do is drop you off somewhere you want to be."

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty watches Nettie a bit. She takes a deep breath. "So...I take it the way you're phrasing things, I'm getting the curb.", Ty says. The woman shakes her head as she rolls her neck a little bit. "At least I'm getting a last meal of it.", she says. The woman picks up the bowl, and starts to eat it. She watches Nettie a little bit, staying a bit on edge. Her focus is almost laser like as she prepares for the words she knows is coming.

Nettie Crowe has posed:
There's a moment where nettie's eyes, unnatural colored, glowing by firelight like a cat's, look into the flames.

Corvax gives a caw, and hops onto the back of her chair, looking between Ty and Nettie.

"Is that what you want, Tynan? To leave our partnership?" she asks in as even a voice as she can muster.

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty shakes her head a bit. "Not really. But do you really see this going any other way? Frankly, that girl was pulling her punches, and I couldn't really do much. I don't have any real skills that's really useful. No real offense, no defense. The only really useful thing I can do, I got beat at.", she tells. The woman sighs a bit.

Nettie Crowe has posed:
"You got beat at by someone who was raised from Birth to do so." Nettie points out, and she gives a soft 'mmm'.

"Admittedly, I am at the worst place to see anything of the future, kitten. There is a crossroads here. And while I've got quite a talent at picking up after a battle is called who will live and who to make comfortable in triage, I'm afraid mercenary mutants are somewhat out of my experience. And you can do things other than fly off the handle, dear heart. I've seen you do them." she states, and her aquamarine eyes settle on Tynan, all her years and experience weighing against Tynan's actions.

"I didn't open my art and my shop to you for your fighting prowess. I opened it for your curiosity. And I am witch enough to know that what I taught you became the framework for what you have chosen to pursue -- ways to keep you alive."

Tynan Ireton has posed:
"Its not about being a mercenary or being a mutant. I'm just half Irish, half pirate. Got a temper to use, and Death don't want to deal with trying to fight me to drag me away.", she tells. Leave it to Ty to still make jokes, even during this. "Yeah, and you made it a bit clear that my curiousity went to places you didn't want it to.", she says.

Ty shakes her head a little bit. "I studied ways that would keep me alive, but it seems that many people chose to view the ways I learned to be bad. Also, you know how hard it is to enchant a gun? Or to toughen up armor? I guess if I had been thinking, I should have gone for enchanting my clothes for protection instead of making the blade sharper...", she mutters.

Nettie Crowe has posed:
"I have to use the ones I'm not familiar with dear, my wife was Irish and Corvax was a pirate, and I hate admitting weakness." Nettie replies in her proper English accent, and she takes her breath.

"Yes. Your curiosity took you to places I would have rather not have you gone /so soon/. I worry that I left you unprepared for any side-effects." she explains, and she looks to Ty with a wan expression. "Which is on me."

She pours herself additional hot water from the kettle into a teapot.
"I know how hard it is to magic armors. It's not my forte, and I tried to do it for the lads my nurses fancied. Sometimes it worked. Sometimes it didn't." she states, and she sits back down.

"People are always going to view something as bad. I'm a witch, we've been hunted for centuries. In some countries we still are."

Tynan Ireton has posed:
"And yet, even you flinched when you heard I studied under a demoness. I've learned a few things about the way magics can be used. Like my enchantments...They might not last for long, but I can keep casting them without worry fo fairl.", she tells. "I learned how to change one's perspective of reality to the point where they believe something that doesn't exist is real, and that something you've always known is something completely different.", Ty mentions.

Nettie Crowe has posed:
"I have my reasons for the displeasure of knowing my two students decided to turn to devilry for lessons and learning. Partially because... it's something I cannot follow, and cannot advice on aside from 'don't." Nettie explains, nd she looks at her knitting. It's a sock. Why was she knitting a sock?

She didn't even appear to know, and she looks a little peturbed by it.

"I've run into a surprisng amount of demons and half-demons. Somehow always succubi. Boring."
