Cast of Characters: Artemis Crock, Atrid

Artemis Crock has posed:
Since escaping from the compound where she was being held and tortured for a few days, Artemis had fallen into an exhausted sleep that had lasted for a day or two. Much like before when she was plagued by nightmares, she tossed and turned and yelled in her sleep, once again reliving her traumatizing days under watch of the League of Assassins, who were less than pleased with her betrayal.

Fleeing back to her sister's apartment was out of the question, which left them in a motel on the other side of town, hopefully a safer side of town where she couldn't be tracked down as easily by Talia's minions. Well, let's hope so anyway..Because she still had a lot of work to do.

Atrid has posed:
Atrid Torsen held Art close and tight the whole time through every night terror through every horror through every last bit of trauma relived. "Shhh shh it's ok my love it's ok I'm here and I'm not going anywhere, I've got you. I swore to you I'd never leave, i'd always find you and I did. I'm here sweet heart fully here."

Artemis Crock has posed:
There were so many cuts and bruises, especially around her ankles and wrists where they tried to crush her bones but stopped at spraining them all, leaving her skin red and puffy and bruised, painful to the touch once the adrenaline had worn off.

But it hardly compared to the mental scarring that had occurred. It took a while for her body to rest, recuperate and heal, but it would take longer for the mental injuries to heal. And when she finally awakens, her eyes fly open, alarmed, angry, scared, confused, yelling, struggling against him as if she thought he were another captor coming to torture her again.

"N-No! Let me go! Let go!" she snarls angrily, finding some of her old strength coming back now that her body no longer aches so much, and it takes her a moment to realize that something's different..His voice, his gentle touch..Or is it just another trick, another illusion? She blinks and hesitates.

"Atrid...?"

Atrid has posed:
Atrid Torsen ignites a soft flame and encases a light ice trailing his fingers up and down her body gently soothingly as he'd done so many times before. "It's ok Art I'm here my sweet girl. I'm here for you always, through hell and back I'll fight demons, and devils, Gods and Angels no matter what to bring you home." He whispers kissing her head softly. "Who do you think put the op together? I did it was my idea, that Thomas fellow wanted to leave me out and not let me come along. I told him I'd take my info and do it myself then."

Artemis Crock has posed:
Artemis Crock sighs, seeming to relax visibly as she recognizes him, curling up against him, pressing a desperate kiss against his lips. "Atrid..You came for me.." she smiles happily. "I thought I was gonna die, I nearly did, but then..." she blinks in alarm, pulling away suddenly, "My mom! They know where she is...I caved..I told them. Now she's in trouble...!" Art glances around, still confused, still a bit achy and dizzy but determined. "I have to rescue her..!"

Atrid has posed:
Atrid Torsen smiles and holds her closely. "Art I promised you I'd always come for you and I'd always find you and I did. I'll always come for you love." He says smiling and kissing her softly. "Its fine we can keep her safe."

Artemis Crock has posed:
Artemis Crock sighs, hugging him tightly. "I know...I never doubted you. You saved my life." she smiles faintly, nuzzling against his neck. "All that talk about love, I guess you really meant it.." Still, she has tears trickling out the corners of her eyes, fiercely wiping them away as she clutches to him tightly, smiling sadly.

"But, I'm such a fool...I caved..I didn't mean to, I just..I got scared. I didn't want them to break me, I didn't want to die. So I told them exactly where to find them. And if something happens to her, it'll be all my fault.."

She sighs, letting go of him, hanging her head. "I thought I was a strong person but when push came to shove..I guess I really am a coward.."

Atrid has posed:
Atrid Torsen shakes his head. "No Art you're not a fool sweet heart. You were beaten and tortured and all kinds of nasty shit, anyone would have caved under that...anyone it wasn't just you." He says reassuringly, tenderly and lovingly. "Yes I meant it, yes I still mean it. I do love you now and always, you'll never have to go through things alone again, we're partners after all."

"Not wanting to die or be broken is natural nothing to be ashamed of, even the strongest people wish to live." He says with a gentle stroke to Art's hair his voice soft and soothing as he speaks.

He pulls her back to him and lifts Art's chin to look her in the eyes. "You are strong, you are not a coward. Strength and bravery aren't the absence of fear but rather turning that fear into something else. You can do that I know you can." He whispers kissing her softly. "I have faith in you and I love you."

Artemis Crock has posed:
"Yeah, I know...It was hard, and I did my best but.." she frowns, shaking her head. "It wasn't good enough. I have to put my own personal safety and comfort aside. She NEEDS me now, Atrid. I...Don't deserve forgiveness.."

She blinks slowly at the speech, arching a brow. "You really have faith in me? I mean...I sure messed up big time. I was..Sloppy, careless. And now Jade is..."

Atrid has posed:
Atrid Torsen places a finger to her mouth quieting Art. "No...Your health, your safety, your needs those are my primary concerns anything else after that, well we can deal with then. For right now you need to rest, you need to relax and you need to recover." He states firmly.

The red and white haired teen sighs. "Every one...well almost everyone deserves forgiveness and you sure do. You made a mistake we learn from it and move on making sure not to let it happen again Art. It's all alright it will all be alright. Jade is what?? she had a hand in what happened to you...Why should I give two shits about someone who's willing to betray their own blood??"

Artemis Crock has posed:
Artemis Crock nods and sighs, kissing him quietly curling in his lap, which helps to calm her a little. "You're right of course..Thank you." she smiles faintly, stroking his face softly, thoughtfully. "I need time, to recover, to regain my strength. Thomas has..Acquired money, for me to hire a lawyer. I'm sure I can get her out of prison early, before the League sends more of their minions after her."

She frowns at the thought, shaking her head, trying not to think too hard. "Jade..She betrayed me. She brought me to the League..And then she had the nerve to show up and pretend to help us escape? What the hell kind of game is she playing? I can't forgive her.."

Atrid has posed:
Atrid Torsen listens smiling at Art. "You don't need to thank me I take care of those I love." He says simply before kissing her again and pulling the beautiful blond closer to his chest. "Right now we have to focus on you and your safety first..." Then something clicks for him. "Wait she was there helping us????"

Artemis Crock has posed:
Artemis Crock laughs, nodding, "Oh yes, she was very helpful, dressed in green..Posing as our saviour.." her dark eyes narrow, tense even as she rests against him, clearly angry, hurt, confused at her sister's actions. "I think she spoke to you, cleared a path for us to escape..But why? I'd like to know, why would she go to the trouble to put me in that situation in the first place, only to make such a big show of helping us escape? What the hell kinda game is she playing?"

Atrid has posed:
Atrid Torsen shakes his head snarling a bit. "Yes she spoke to me told me she knew I'd fight off angels and devil's and gods for you. If I'd know it was her I'd have barbecued her ass right there! You're not to be alone with her again my love....you understand?"

Artemis Crock has posed:
Artemis Crock sighs, shaking her head. "I...I loved her. After all this time. We finally found each other. I just cant understand..." she glances back at him and frowns, shaking her head. "No. I need to see her again, I need to talk to her. I need to know for myself, why she did this, Atrid! I just cant accept that she's one of them now.."

She seems hurt, confused, betrayed, yet another family member, another person she loves, who betrayed her, who let her down. She looks down at his hands as she speaks, clutching them tightly, nearly a death grip, doing her best not to lose control.

Atrid has posed:
Atrid Torsen shakes his head. "I'm not saying not to see her again. Just I'm there every time you do, I won't risk you again ever, I don't want to lose you." He says kissing her deeply and passionately pouring his every last bit of love into that kiss.

"She may not be, maybe they have something on her, perhaps they coerced her or threatened her in some way." He says giving a reassuring squeeze to her hands.

Artemis Crock has posed:
Artemis Crock nods slowly. "Right, I suppose that's probably the wisest thing to do. She's probably not even at the old apartment, or if she is, she'd lay another stupid trap for me. I can't believe she poisonned me, and I didn't even know. I just..I thought she loved me.." her frown deepens at the thought, "You really think they threatenned her? If that's the case then we definitely need to find her..'

Atrid has posed:
Atrid Torsen smiles and kisses Art softly. "She probably did what she had to do to stay alive." He says softly reassuringly. "You've done all you can my love every last little thing you could do. Now it's time for you to snuggle with me and relax and heal." The next question gets him frowning. "I don't usually set much store by blood ties and kinship, I will say that watching how she was with you...and seeing her trying to get a path for us to leave, I'd say yes I believe that, yes anything is possible. What it really comes down to my beautiful sweet Art is what do you believe."

Artemis Crock has posed:
Artemis Crock nods slowly, rubbing her eyes tiredly. "I just..Wanted to have a family that loved me, people that loved me. But I've lost everyone, and I might lose mom too..You're all I have left.." she sighs, curling up tightly against him. "I guess family isn't all that it's hyped up to be, huh..Maybe you're my family now."

Art smiles faintly, stroking his cheek fondly. "Soo..What do we do now? I mean..I need to recover, cant deal with my sister right now, or my mom."

Atrid has posed:
Atrid Torsen nods his head up and down and pulls her closer to himself. "And I'll introduce you to my friends and allies." He says softly. "You do have that my love, you have a family and someone who loves you." Atrid says kissing Art's head softly. "Blood family is sometimes trash, but the family we choose is often times the best we have." Picking Art up he carries her to the bed and lies down with her watching TV.

Artemis Crock has posed:
Artemis Crock laughs, shaking her head, clinging to him. "Isn't that great..Both of us have trash families..Can we really make it out there alone..?" she arches a curious brow at him, "Your allies? You mean the X-men? I'd like to meet some of them, y'know, if they dont mind a normal unpowered ordinary human like myself." she smirks, knowing she is anything but ordinary, even if she doesn't have any powers.

Peering at the TV, Art seems far more interested in her lover, her best friend, her...Family? As she toys with the buttons on his shirt, pulling him closer. "I'll heal, I'm a little tired still..Mostly it's my head that's a bit messed up. I.." she sighs, leaning in closer, pressing her lips against his neck. "Just need something to take my mind off of things, just for a bit..And I love you more, everytime I see you.." she sighs softly, closing her eyes, nibbling softly on his neck.

Atrid has posed:
Atrid Torsen smiles back and pulls her over on top of him. "Is that so love?" He asks softly running his hands up and down her back gently and softly. "All of our heads are a bit messed up." Atrid teases back. "And I Love you more with each passing moment."
