Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost is currently sitting over in the rec room. Emma has a tablet out in front of her and is reading what files the X-Men have available on the Imperial Guard. The folder is open and she's reading through it, individual by individual. She takes a moment to pause in her scrolling to take a sip from a goblet of wine.

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn has been kept busy with her magic lessons in JLDark, and it's about time she came back here to check in with the latest events in Xmen hq. However, today seems to be a rather relaxed day so she decides to chill a bit in the rec room before trying out some practice sessions in the danger room.

Stepping into the rec room, she makes a beeline for the fridge and one of those tasty ice cream sandwiches as it's still pretty warm outside. In the other hand she grabs some popcorn and can you really blame her for eating so much? Those wings take a lot of energy to operate!

Its only when she heads to the sofa that she realizes she's not alone and blinks, straightening up a bit, nearly choking on her popcorn. "Oh! Ms Frost! Err..Hi!"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would glance at Megan, "Greetings, Ms. Gwynn. I do hope that everything has been well. I don't check in often enough myself, so I thought it would be good for me to drop by." She would set the tablet down, after typing a few times on it to upt it back to it's lockdown and encrypted mode as she would fold her hands togetehr.
    Gesturing at the goblet, "Would you care for a drink?"

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn grimaces at Emma as she balances her popcorn bowl with a slightly dripping ice cream sandwich. "Oh! I'm fine, keeping busy..Yannow..Learned a new spell that's been wrecking havok on me but..I think I'm getting better at it." she takes a bite of the ice a cream, shaking her head. "Oh I think I have my hands full for the moment thanks..Maybe later.." she peers back at her, "Soo, what's new around here, any world ending catastrophes I should be aware of..?"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would nod, "And of course, what would that spell be, if such things are appropraite to share?" She would shake her head, "Oh, merely the normal ones. Diplomatic incident wiht the Shi'Ar ambassador being assassinated at the Starport, the normal routines with the Reavers and Friends of Humanity.. I'm sure a great deal other catastrophies and crisises I don't have a personal investment in.."

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn bites her lip, "Umm well..Actually it's a hex..I can blow up stuff, make things go wrong depending on my mood.." she smiles, "Got a new magic tutor to help me through it but occasionally I lose focus.." she winces as the overhead lamp flickers briefly. Coincidence or..?

When Emma mentions the shi'ar, she arches a brow. "Ooh, I've heard of them of course but never met em.." she frowns, "Reavers and FoH too? I really gotta get back into the game..I seem to have my plate full a lot lately." oh there are other things going on in her life but is Emma snoopy enough to peek into her thoughts?

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would nod, "Always useful. There are quite a few specialists here in the art of detonations, particularly improvised. I'm sure that a number of them would be all too willing to help. And while I don't know her particularly well, the sister of the reigning queen of genosha has some skill in them. You could perhpas ask her for some assistance through the Genoshan Embassy or through the Avengers."

She would sigh, "There are always plenty of issues to go around. However, there are also enough available team members ot handle them. Don't overstress yourself and go out of your way to add another burden." She does not pry into Megan's thoughts.

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn blinks, "Scarlet Witch you mean? I mean..I dunno her personally but..She's like, super powerful, isn't she? She's..A bit intimidating.." she bites her lip, wondering if Emma is reading her mind. But either way she doesn't volunteer a lot more info. "Ahh, it's never good to spread oneself thin, I've been trying to deal with my Magic but I dont want my Xmen training to go to waste either, I guess so,e times it's hard to tell which of my powers are mutant and which are magical..Am I even a mutant..?"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would shrug, "Merely a suggestion. And individuals do move on, Megan. So there's no reason to feel obligated if you've moved over to other facets of your life you wish to imrpve and to take yourself in other directions. And it's always good to remain in practice." She's not reading the mind of Megan.. "Don't feel like you must be on constant standby or call."

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn nods, "Thanks, I might call her up..Although Padraigh seems knowledgeable..Of course taking on an army of undead warriors is a bit creepy.." she frowns as she stares at her popcorn. "Maybe I can go on the reserve list or something, I mean learning magic takes up a lot of time and energy. How on earth did Illyana manage..?"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would nod, "That's something to speak with Jean on. She's the one in charge of field assignments. And dear, don't compare yourself to Illyana. She has a very unique background, life experience.. And is Russian." Her saying like Illyana being Russian was the only explanation needed there.

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn arches a brow at that, "Different how? Wasn't she about my age when she learned magic the first time? How did she manage to learn so much in so little time and why does she have such an attitude? I mean her brother is Russian and he's not such a..." she has to bite her tongue to keep from calling her something regrettable. Really Megan never cared to learn more about Illy's history.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would shrug over at Megan, "I suggest that you read her profile if you care to. I'll warn you it.. Doesn't make for anything particularly pleasant." Her tone has an implicit 'even by our standards' vibe to it. "And perhpas then you could ask her as well if she has any suggestions. She comes and goes often enough."

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn sighs, shaking her head, "I know that she was trapped in limbo fir a long while, although I don't know the particulars.." as for talking to her, Megan just laughs, "She hates me, last time we spoke, she tried to kill me because I was forced to port a berserker mutant temporarily to limbo.."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would nod, "Then stay away from her. But it is something that you should read, if only to grasp things from her perspective. There is however no need to particularly interactw ith her unless necessary so you don't have to confronther."

Megan Gwynn has posed:
Megan Gwynn nods, "Right, I'll take a look at her records for sure. If only to better understand her actions.." she peers at Frost, "It seems that there are quite a few..Colder Xmen among our ranks. I sometimes wonder if I don't take my job seriously enough, but I'd like to push my limits."
