Cast of Characters: Cecily Winters, Naria Shepard

Cecily Winters has posed:
One hell of a night later, and Cecily is waiting in the lobby of Stark Tower. Not the usual sight, though. A girl of four feet height with nine fluffy fox tails and matching ears stands, carefully holding a phone. It's clear something is 'off' about her and not just because of her fluffs. She's wearing a set of clothes that's way more mature than should be for her age. Professional and straight-lined as, well, as Cecily always is. "Miss Shepard," she states into the phone, sighing. Her voice is definitely higher. Younger. It's definitely.. different.

"I need a ride home, and I don't trust anyone else with this..." she sighs. Leaving a voice mail. It's early in the morning. "You can find me at Stark Tower. I'll be... in the lobby, waiting. You.. can't miss me." Cryptic, and after a beat, she shakes her head. "...it's me, Cecily, just in case you couldn't tell. Do, please, hurry. I want to go home."

Naria Shepard has posed:
Where had Rave been all night? A gig? A halloween party with the Birds of Prey? It didn't matter, Cecily calling -her- for a pickup and a favor wasn't exactly common so of course, she was on her way. A little flash of blue neon light and Rave was zooming into a lobby of a building she'd been guilty of scaling before only to skid to a stop with a blink, eyes still glowing with worry turning into utter bright excitement.

"Oh...my...god..."

Cecily Winters has posed:
Yep. It's Cecily. Four feet tall. Four inches of giant fox ears. Nine tails. She's more fluff than person right now, with the appendages wiggling behind her. "Thank you for coming," she states, trying to sound as professional as possible. It's difficult. Her voice is so much higher than usual, so girlish. The poor thing hasn't even hit the edges of puberty yet, let alone been through it enough to have that cool, dark, motherly voice that she's prided herself on.

And whn she hears Rave's reaction, those ears slowly fold down against her head. "...it has been a very long night... if not for the hospitality of Mister Stark and Ms. Potts, well... getting a cab would have been... interesting..." she slumps her shoulders and gazes up at the much taller neon-blue DJ.

Naria Shepard has posed:
Given the fact that Rave was normally the shortest person she knew, the girl looks down in wonder as she zips closer and bends down, hands on her knees and tilting her head to the side. "You look so...so..." Different? Small? Smol?

"Adorable!"

Uh-oh.

Arms come out, wrapping around the liftable floof and squeezing tightly with an excited noise before pausing to blink, both glow and excitement waning a little. "So uh...you're going to turn back, right?"

Cecily Winters has posed:
Cecily stares, affixing her bright purple eyes on Rave's own blues. She just. Sees the woman approaching, that look on her face. So. So. "...what?" she blinks at being called adorable. And then, she's suddenly hugged, held, and tight! She lets out a little squeak, her tails floofing out behind her. They're so soft! So is she! Well. Her skinny legs might be a little on the bonier side. But.

"Yes! Of course I am! Of course we are!" she stammers, sounding so adorably indignant. "...just. We don't know when, exactly.." she looks away for a moment, ears still drooping, and she sighs. "..this is why I called you. Outside of the people here..." she makes a vague gesture to the building. "...I don't really trust too many others. My powers are not... working anymore. And I can probably fire a gun but the gear I came with was... changed. So if someone with ill intent were to get wind of this... I could be in danger. So could you."

Naria Shepard has posed:
Yep, she's not getting put down just yet, Cecily instead hugged to Rave like a child while she nuzzled her cheek against the teeny ears she was so used to seeing scaled up to 'normal'. "Okay good!" she offers, not quite asking 'how' at this stage.

Drooping ears and sadness was just making her cuter. "I'll keep you safe!" she offers, nodding lightly. "That's what heroes do! And hey, you met Tony Stark! Maybe he could finally help me with the suit thing...but one problem at a time. I can get us home easily!"

Cecily Winters has posed:
Thankfully, Cecily doesn't *mind* being handled by Rave like this, though deep down she wonders if it's some small bit of revenge for how many times Cecily had thrown the girl over her shoulder for one reason or another. So she endures being treated like a plush toy. Which. She finds growing on her. She just lays her head on Rave's shoulders and hugs her gingerly in return.

"My place or yours, it doesn't matter to me..." she mumbles, just wanting to be somewhere safe and cozy. "And Naria," she says, using Rave's real name instead of 'Ms. Shepard', "I *work* for Mister Stark. I didn't simply meet him..." she says, laughing quietly at how ridiculous her own voice sounds in her head. "Goddess I'll tell you about last night once we're elsewhere and secluded... I could really use something to drink. Can this body even handle a cup of coffee?"

Naria Shepard has posed:
In some ways, Cecily almost was. At least Rave hadn't told her she looked like a doll! Faint blue glow in her hair swelling lightly, Rave nods her head. "Well, you'll have to introduce me sometime!"

Moving through the door and out to the street she pauses, considering for a moment. "Maybe a milkshake? And no booze for you tonight, it's bad for little foxes!"

Not even a joke, the excited speedster was downright earnest in her words. "Just hold on tight, alright?"

Cecily Winters has posed:
"No, no booze. Coffee would be nice. But I'll accept a milkshake..." she says, her more childlike mind registering it as a great idea. "...maybe some chicken nuggets and fries, too? I haven't had lunch yet.." she ponders. She shifts her position slightly, snuggling in against Rave. Usually the girl is only slightly shorter than her, making it easy for the fox to be the big spoon! But now? She clings for dear life, knowing what's going to come next. Her fluffy tails wrap around the bluenette and she nods, "Yes, of course. And.."

She buries her face in Rave's shoulder, "...thank you, love."

Naria Shepard has posed:
"Oh! We could get you a kids meal somewhere and not have it be weird!" she grins as they take off in a rush of blue light and trailing tails, literal in this case. It wasn't anywhere near max speed, but it was certainly going to be faster than a taxi right now!

Cecily Winters has posed:
Cecily would indeed prefer being with someone to using a taxi or an Uber alone right now. Especially because the latter might not even serve her. Her wallet and credit cards had been magicked into uselessness anyway. Play money and toy cards. She's stuck having to borrow or snag some out of her home stash. "You are... having way too much fun with this.." she states, rolling her eyes slightly. Kid-brain pulls at her thoughts and she sighs, "...kids meal with a milkshake, please? I want fries but I also want apple slices... and make sure it's got the Rainbow Pony Princess toy. I don't collect toy cars and they won't sell me the dolls outright.." What a mixture.

Naria Shepard has posed:
Well, at least Rave does have her own money and soon enough the pair of them would find themselves zipping back to Rave's appartment and settling on the couch with a pair of kids meals...and of course, the rainbow pony princess toys that came with them, even if Rave had sneakily 'swapped' them by zipping into the back to make sure the right one was added. Leaning in to offer her shrunken companion a gentle hug she takes a big drain from her milkshake while grinning. "I'm sorry, this is just -so- cute!"

Okay, the phone was being reached for. There was dangerous chances of chibi-Cecily selfies!

Cecily Winters has posed:
All of Cecily's senses are more dull, her strength closer to that of a strong late teen rather than bypassing human norms. Well, almost all of her senses. Her hearing is definitely as sharp as ever. Still, she doesn't notice the tricks Rave pulls while they wait for their food, and she seems content enough to stay silent on the trip home, breathing in the scent of french fries and chicken while clutching their bags and her shake. And then... that couch. That familiar couch. Those warm arms hugging her. She fits so perfectly in that hug!

"Don't get too used to it..." she says quietly, taking a long sip from her own shake. "...it will be impossible to work if I stay like this. And with my augmented everything, there's no telling that if I do let it run its course if my body will properly.. catch up?" she shrugs and sighs. "...but... do enjoy it while it lasts. I trust you not to..." Make poor decisions? "...do any dumb stuff."

Naria Shepard has posed:
"I'll be fine. We'll be fine! It's just like when I did babysitting back in highschool!" Rave offers excitably, snapping a quick photograph of them together in another byproduct of that speed. She probably wasn't going to post it yet, not a great idea to show your friend in a state of vulnerability, but she does tuck it away and turn back to take Cecily's smaller hands.

"It'll be great! We can stay in, have Pizza, make a pillow fort or something and watch movies!"

And to think, Rave -wasn't- the one turned into a child!

Cecily Winters has posed:
For as serious and cool as adult Cecily is, all of these ideas are resonating with the pre-teen fox instead. Her eyes widen as she looks down at her hands taken then back up to Rave. "...r-really?" she asks, sounding surprised but happy at the prospect. "You mean it? What do you want to watch? Pillow fort? Do you have enough cushions? Should we call IKEA?" she asks, her tails starting to wave happily behind her. "...Tony and Pepper and I had ice cream last night.." she looks away for a moment. "..they're.. stuck like this, too. We weren't... fast enough. I wasn't fast enough."

Naria Shepard has posed:
"We'll get more if we need them!" Rave nods, "in fact!~" she begins only to zoom out of the room and return with armfulls of pillows that may or may not have been stolen from Cecily's own home. "We'll pool our resources...and we'll get icecream again because -I- want icecream!"

To be fair, Rave was closer to teenager than Cecily had been prior to this little event. Leaning down to ruffle the fox's hair lightly, she drops down onto her pillow pile. "Hey...I know you'll work it out, and I'll be here to help you any way I can!"

Cecily Winters has posed:
"Those... are -MY- pillows...!" the fox squeaks softly, pounding her foot on the floor for... a moment. Then she understands the logic and magic of collaboration. And ice cream. She rubs her head and sighs, "...yes, please... ice cream. I'm. This is. My feelings are weird.." she hunkers back down on the couch and just starts eating the food in her bag. A handful of fries here, an apple there, a chicken nugget to round things out and then SLURP. Milkshake.

Her head tilts up into the ruffling of her hair, though, and she gives an uneasy smile to Rave. "Thanks. I think you're rather enjoying having a... little sister to play with anyway... right? I guess you're big sis Rave for now then."

Naria Shepard has posed:
"Well...I was an only child, maybe I'm making up for missed opportunities...or maybe you're just too kyuuuuute!" she offers before picking a nugget up for herself. "We might as well enjoy it while we can, right? Look on the bright side? After all..."

She winks. "I'm all bright side!"

Cecily Winters has posed:
"Hopefully we'll have this sorted within a week. Tony knows some. magicky... people... and.. I know a fox who I might be able to talk to..." she eyes the next nugget she's eating. "An offering of tacos might help..." she muses aloud. Then she simply leans against Rave, her tails floofing out some and curling around the bigger woman. It almost seems like there's MORE tailfluff to Cecily at this size, but maybe it's just the contrast now that the fluff-to-girl ratio is all screwed up.

"You... really are shiny, yeah. Just. So shiny. Still cute, tho," she nods and pops that nuggie into her mouth with an adorable little 'nomf' noise.
