An Unexpected But Not Unwelcome Visitor
Date of Scene: 01 November 2022
Location: 5B - Karolina's Greenwich Loft
Synopsis: Karolina receives a peculiar package and ends up inviting Ivy over for dinner with her and Kori.
Cast of Characters: Karolina Dean, Pamela Isley, Koriand'r

Karolina Dean has posed:
The evening after Halloween! Karolina's back home in New York after an.. interesting night in Gotham. A night that included some mild GCPD intervention, and a run-in with a real supervillain! Well. Conflicting feelings aside, Karolina had a blast. Now, however, she's home. She's got her freshly-washed hair wrapped up in a towel, having spent some time working the dye out of it, and is simply... prancing around the kitchen. The soft tones of George Harrison's guitar fill her apartment and the lovely blonde seems to be working on dinner.

Pamela Isley has posed:
Ivy spent most of that night keeping low and getting herself settled. To say she was curious about that night and some of the people she met, is an understatement. So she hit the internet to do some friendly cyber stalking to find out if can locate this person again or not. She's feeling wired and a bit jittery to be honest. Once she's pretty sure, god bless social media and colleges being as secure as a wet paper bag, she gets to traveling. She has one of the many costumes available to those of questionable lifestyles. She's done put a bit of darkener in her hair, removed the green, and pulls it back into a ponytail. Then comes the silly delivery hat pulled over her face, she binds up her chest and instantly becomes a nondescript woman doing a job. In her arms is a bunch of flowers in a pot with a card stuck into a little wood stand. With a bit of doublechecking nobody is watching Ivy goes to knock/ring Karolina's door.

Karolina Dean has posed:
The bell is heard over the music, not that it's up very loud. "Oh hey! Just a sec!" calls the bright and sunny voice of the blonde. She finishes taking care of some of her food prep and heads for the door. Her bare feet are pretty much silent on it, and she opens up to the delivery lady, chain still in place. She's wrapped up in one of those long-sleeved shirts with the oversized neckline so it reveals one shoulder--and the sleeves are a little too long, too. They *were* rolled up but now they're floppy. It says 'NYU' on the front. Her legs are almost completely bare, save for some comfy jogging shorts.

"Hey! Evening!" she greets, flashing that smile at DeliverIvy.

Pamela Isley has posed:
Ivy pitches her lower voice higher and manages to easily sound bored. "Are you a," checking the little clipboard, "Karolina Dean?" Pronouncing the first name a bit wrong. "If so I got a delivery here." The flowers are Delphinium flowers that are done in blues, pale purples, pinks, and other shades that were not uncommon in Karolina's glow. "I'll need you to sign here," keeping her head down as the clipboard is handed over.

Karolina Dean has posed:
The blonde blinks, adjusting her head-towel some so it doesn't flop over. She really does have such long hair. "Huh?" Karolina takes a moment, but nods. "Yes, that's me! A.. delivery?" she asks, looking the flowers over. "Oh... wow..." she gasps. "Does.. um.. does it say who it's from?" she asks, holding up a finger so she can unlatch the door chain and open it wider. Not exactly easy to sign for a package and receive it with everything locked up like that.

"I mean, I don't usually get gifts like this..." she sort of rambles, taking the clipboard and setting forth to signing it. Her eyes can't pull away from the flowers, though. "These are so beautiful... delphinium, right? Oh.. this one is tricorne... and.. this one is cardinale... and.. this one is decorum!" she seems to be so distracted, but she does sign her name eventually. "Sorry, sorry, I'm studying plants and agriculture, you ... probably have other deliveries to get to. You don't need to hear me gushing about floral arrangements... here!" she hands the clipboard back, looking sheepish.

Pamela Isley has posed:
"There's a card," the woman offers sounding as if she could care less. Just waiting to get the signature. The head lifts a bit when Karolina gets the name of the flowers right. Though some of the flowers are some unique colors that shouldn't be blooming so well. When the signature is given that she will hand over the potted flowers and says, "Oh this was with it," setting a small little box there atop it. She lifts her head fully as they go to part ways, "Good day." Ivy's box also has a little burner phone with a single number programmed into it.

Karolina Dean has posed:
"Oh! Useful, thank you. I wonder.." she takes both the pot and the card, then blinks as she takes the box along with it. "Hm? So many gifts..." she muses aloud. Then Karolina laughs, "Oh gosh maybe one of my classmates liked my costume or something..." she shakes her head. "Thank you," she repeats, nodding and turning away from the door. "Be safe out there, okay?" she flashes that winning smile over her shoulder before giving the door a little hip-bump to close it behind her.

Pamela Isley has posed:
The note is signed to "Elvira Mistress of the Light" It reads as follows
    Hello Karolina
Sorry about the note and tracking you down. That party last night was... interesting to say the least. I have to say you left quiet the impression and hope to talk with you again. Maybe meet up. There's a phone with this delivery, enjoy the flowers. I left a card on how to care for them. They take a lot of light, but you can handle that I'm sure.

The signature is an ivy leaf and the card smells of mint.

Karolina Dean has posed:
Karolina puts the vase on the kitchen table and looks the card over, eyes widening. Bright blues scan the words and she just... laughs again. "Oh! Goodness... someone *did* like my costume..." she blushes despite herself. For the moment, she seems more interested in the care instructions for the flowers, and scans the card intently. The phone can wait. She isn't exactly aware it was Ivy who delivered the flowers. "...I suppose if she's as villainous as they say she is, finding me was no big deal..." the blonde sighs, lifting her shoulders in a small shrug.

"Not that I'm too worried..." she then muses, taking in the scent of mint and putting the cards aside to mull over the phone. "Oh what've I got to lose," she tsks and turns the phone on, scanning it for any relevant information. Finding just the single number on it, she just... dials. Lets it ring. And gets back to work making dinner.

Pamela Isley has posed:
The phone goes for about six long rings as Ivy has to wait to be in her car and taking off her disguise before it clicks open, "Hello." She doesn't say more at first, just that.

Karolina Dean has posed:
The phone rings long enough for Karolina to not only finish pressing the shredded zuchinni she was working on, but start forming it properly into patties for fritters. "Hey~" her bright voice sounds through on the other side. "Um... Ivy.. right?" she asks. "I just got your flowers. They're *beautiful*!" Nothing about 'how did you find me' or 'what do you want'. Just pure, innocent gushing over some utterly gorgeous blooms. "Just... thanks, that was really sweet!"

Pamela Isley has posed:
"Glad you like them. I had to burn off that 'high' you gave me last night. We couldn't talk before I had to run. The GCPD and I are... hit or miss on our dealings." She relaxes in the back of her own car and says, "I trust you know why I didn't really kiss you last night as well. Glad you liked the flowers, enjoy them. I kept some myself."

Karolina Dean has posed:
"The high? Oh! Right! You're kind of... susceptible to sunlight. Photosynthesis and all, am I right?" Karolina asks, just casually chatting on the phone as she plunks a couple of fritters in the oil on the pan. Coconut oil! "I mean, yeah, but I have to say I've never had a... I guess they can classify you as a supervillain or something...? Flirt with me... that was.. new. And. I don't know, I don't think I minded it..." She leans on the table and brushes her fingers along the flower petals.

"Those guys were rude, you gave them a good scare and didn't actually hurt anyone..." she sighs, "And... the kiss... right. I.. don't nkow, I guess I can hazard the... poison part of your moniker?" she asks absently.

Pamela Isley has posed:
"I'm able to process light, yes. So you got the drop on me and sent me on a bit of a trip." There's a very amused laugh from Ivy as she says, "Flirt with you? If you think that was flirting I feel sorry for the men or women or whatever that attempted to do such with you before. I can flirt much better then that, trust me." It sort of is part of her reputation as it were. "I wasn't trying to hurt anyone. Doing so to humans is far easier and most there weren't responsible for anything. Just those jerk college kids." There's another faint throat sound, "Mmhmmm. I'm often poisonous and didn't wish to harm you. Just put on a show for the cop to keep you and the floating woman out of trouble."

Karolina Dean has posed:
Karolina gives a lopsided smile, even if it's unseen, "Sorry, that's... just how my powers are. My body is... I hope I didn't make you uncomfortable? And... I... hey.." She stammers a little. She's self-aware enough to know that she's... really bad with women. Very much a lesbian disaster, this one, but she laughs it off, "...you're not wrong?" There's a shrug, and another quiet sigh. "It was a nice show. And... goddess I'm no stranger to stupid college kids... I mean, I kind of am one? But you should see the stuff the guys get up to here in New York..." There's a sound of a palm slapping a forehead. "Stupid boys.." she chuckles. "...um... I can float too. But. Thanks for that. I'm just glad nobody was injured, and, you didn't get shot.. Guy seemed kind of trigger happy but I guess you've got a rep?"

Pamela Isley has posed:
"Karolina I would not say you made me uncomfortable. Not even the slightest, did I look uncomfortable to you?" She somehow makes her voice feel relaxed and like she might be doing more then just talking on the phone. "We're going to winter, and I always struggle then. You were quiet the jolt to my system. One I'd love to get know more about of course." She smiles and says, "I saw. Didn't take me long to see you have a class in botany. If you ever want tips, you can give me a call." She sounds very amused on the phone. "Floating? Well that can be fun, I usually have to use vines and my powers to get creative for things like that." She can't help but pause and make her voice soft, "are you asking to check me for injuries Karolina? Be sure I don't have anything amiss?" Trying to show what 'light flirting' can be like with someone who knows what she is doing."

Karolina Dean has posed:
Plop. Sizzle sizzle. The soft popping sound of fritters being made comes through over the phone as she flips one. "I mean you did hit the ground after I um... opened up... you know?" Karolina offers with concern. "Oh, is that the thing? The uh.. yeah, the winter is really bad for plants. Not just the temperature but the sunlight, too... I mean if you need some help now and then...." she just offers, pacing around her kitchen table, staying mobile, bouncing on her feet a little bit. "Just, I have classes and stuff, so I can't really be your full-time sun lamp... but friends that help friends out are great, right? What do you like to eat? ...do you eat?"

Then another soft forehead slap, "...sorry, I don't... ah, what am I saying. Sorry if I sound insensitive, I don't know what your general circumstances are, you know? Like I probably don't have to eat, but I like it? And... yes, I'm in botany, and agri sciences. So if you want to go over my homework with me sometime..." The poor woman seems to be having trouble collecting her thoughts, a lot is happening in her mind at once. "Injuries? I guess I'm trying to figure out how much of you is ...plant based? I only took basic first aid..."

Pamela Isley has posed:
Ivy just chuckles softly again as she can be heard to be moving some on her end of the phone. "Plants eat the light, Karolina. We drink from the earth and thirst for the sun. You just offered for me to eat you whenever I want a pick me up." Making it sound suggestive on purpose. "But yes. I can eat food and enjoy it like any other human."

"It is fine, you don't know me and if you looked me up online you would find a LOT of lies about me. Many people think they know me and my secrets and love to say so online." She offers a small life line, "I'm mostly human in the parts that matter, but it gets complicated. Strange 'blood' and different nutrients and all of that. I doubt you want me to go into that sort of details on my biology. Or is that what you are hoping for? I mostly wanted to get a line of contact between us. Because yes, your light was very enjoyable but you also had a costume I liked. I don't like jerks stopping me in doing things."

Karolina Dean has posed:
"I um..." there's a sound like her fumbling with the phone when Ivy teases her. "I do a lot of cooking too. I'm vegan so it's kind of a necessity, but there's a lot of nice places around campus, too..." It sounds like Karolina is vaguely hinting at a date. Her place, or out. "I mean, I'm from New York but even I've heard about the infamous Poison Ivy. I don't know, though. I've... known worse people..." she trails off, voice going low for a moment. Then she blinks, "I admit from a botanical standpoint I'm pretty curious about your biology! But I don't want to be intrusive?"

Plate noise. More shuffling of things. Oven clunk. "But that's personal stuff, even if I'd be happy to tell you what.. very little I know about myself. Speaking of strange blood," she laughs. It's so warm, musical. Like sunlight trying to reach through the line. "I'm about to grab dinner though, and... I loved the flowers. I'm really glad you liked my costume! A lot of people don't recognize it anymore. Movie geeks and horror buffs usually, but the theater kids are partially my crowd anyway, so..." she chuckles.

Pamela Isley has posed:
Ivy is just having fun teasing the poor girl. "Oh a vegan. So someone that likes to only eat plants then?" Says the 'dryad' to the collage girl. There's a bit of a puse when the hint of asking her out on a date of sorts. "If you want to meet up sometime," she says smoothly, "in either city. I'm willing to do that. I doubt you're going to just hand me over to cops and far as I know I have no real warrants out for me." He end of the phone makes a faint tap tap tap sound. "We get time to watch stuff and catch up on Netflix in places like Arkham." She won't go into that too much. "Why don't we do a lunch sometime. You can pick where. If you want to talk 'weird stuff' somewhere private may be good. And I am a biochemist, if you want to learn about your body, you can do worse then put yourself in my care, Karolina."

Karolina Dean has posed:
"Lunch sounds great!" Karolina exclaims. She kind of glosses over the whole Arkham thing. After all, she's already confessed to knowing that Ivy's a known... quantity. "We can talk about anything. My place maybe? You already have my address.." she's carefully sounding like she's pulling something out of the oven. There's a slide. A thump. The creak again. "And.. biochemist? You might need to be an astrophysicist to figure my business out, honestly..." she laughs. "I'm not a Kryptonian, though! In case you were wondering. Getting shot -really- hurts..." she hisses softly. "But yeah, when? I've got classes the next few days... um... what's your situation like? Day job? School stuff?" What DO supervillains do in their spare time?

Pamela Isley has posed:
"Don't burn yourself," advises Ivy as she hears the oven open. The green woman quiet as Karolina does that. "Even alien biology is still biology. But I am sure I know a good library or place to get information. Let's be honest, for all I know you may help me get through winters a lot happier and heathier." She has to commiserate, "Yes being shot hurts. It can feel horrible getting punched or other things. I'm freelance mostly and not really doing so much in the way of big projects. I find it hard to motivate myself in winter. How about I meet up at your place the next Sunday for lunch, I can bring some ingredients. Assuming you trust them."

Karolina Dean has posed:
"I don't think it's physically possible to," Karolina replies at being burned. "Honestly, though, I'm just happy to help? You've got a good head on your shoulders. Intelligent. Beautiful. Maybe I've got a thing for redheads?" she tries her hand at flirting back while setting fritters and a small casserole out to cool. "So next Sunday, then? Your own ingredients, my cooking? I mean, you know what I can eat, so.." she laughs, "...starting to sound like a real date!"

Then her eyes go wide, "A date! Oh! What time is it?" she spins around to look at the oven clock. "Ah! I'm not done drying my hair! My giflriend is coming over for dinner!" A girlfriend. A red-haired girlfriend? "I haven't had a chance to tell her about you yet! I've got a date with Poison Ivy this weekend. She's either going to call me crazy or laugh and nod in understanding..." She doesn't sound worried. She sounds.. more amused and happy than anything.

Pamela Isley has posed:
"Beautiful. Wow, that was a surprise. Especially from one I... wait. Did our lips touch or did you have any headaches this morning?" Then Ivy relaxes and laugh that throaty sound of hers. "I'm guessing the answer to what you like to eat is 'me' as it were." She isn't sure about dating. Her dating life is nuts, but she wants to know more about this woman. Then she hears Karolina's feak out, "Wait. Girlfriend? Did I miss something here?" She's getting flashbacks to another blonde she knows. "Who is your girlfriend?"

Koriand'r has posed:
Girlfriend? Well, she wasn't going to remain a mystery for long. After all, Princess Koriand'r of Tamaran...better known as Starfire, was many things...but subtle wasn't one of them. It was a good thing neither of them really did the secret identity thing when the orange-skinned girl streaked across the sky in glowing green and touched down neatly outside the door before letting herself in without knocking. "I am here!" she declares loudly and excitably, sweeping in like she was going to sweep up Karolina in an over-the-top embrace only to spot she was on the phone.

Okay, a more tame embrace and a lift of her finger to her lips signalling she'd be quiet with a grin.

Karolina Dean has posed:
"No? No headaches," Karolina laughs, the sound of a fluffing towel heard now. "I. I mean. I could eat. You. But. Wait. Yes! No? I mean. Girlfriend, yes. One of? It's complicated?" She stammers, and it's a mirthful sort, mixed with laughter. "Um. Six foot two. Red hair. Orange. Bright green eyes. Hugs literally everyone? Starfire?" she tries to describe her girlfriend when the woman is streaking across the sky to her front door! Five stories later is nothing for the Princess, and she's of course got a key!

Then she's being hugged! She leans into it, exhaling a quiet sigh. Karolina's hair is still damp, but most of the black dye seems to have gotten out of it. She's clad in a long-sleeved NYU shirt with a big enough neckline for it to hang off of one shoulder and some jogging shorts. Dinner is on the kitchen table. Zuchinni fritters and some kind of coconut cream broccoli and veggie casserole that smells... delightfully curry-like. "She's here!"

    What a cluster!

Pamela Isley has posed:
Ivy, in the back of that delivery van pinches her nose some and listens to Karolina give her every answer possible. There's a long soft breath from Ivy and she says, "I see." She of course saw the living comet flying toward the house. "So I gathered. Should I let you go?"

Koriand'r has posed:
Starfire herself wasn't quite aware of the van down on the street, she'd had a long day and she was excitable enough to be seeing Karolina after she missed her at the 'Pumpkin night' thing. Other supervillains were a little rude like that!

Hugged tight and planting a kiss on Karolina's cheek and offering a squeeze she steps away and heads to the bedroom, obviously intending to dress down for the moment rather than linger around in her costume all night. "Smells delicious!" she calls before moving into the space, returning Pam and Karolina's privacy for a moment while she gets changed.

Karolina Dean has posed:
"What? No! I Mean. If you want to?" Karolina tries to figure out how best to maintain this. Two redheads might be too much for her. She leans into Koriand'r's embrace, blushing at the kiss, smiling like an idiot. "I mean, you want to come by? Hyperloop's a quick trip, you know where I live... Look, Ivy..." She leans on the counter on her elbows and exhales a sigh. "I'm a lesbian. I'm kinda new to being polyamorous. And. I *really* want to see you again. So if you're not up for coming by tonight and having some coconut curry casserole and fritters with the princess and I... are we still on for Sunday? Just you and me. Promise."

She looks at the pot she was given, reaching out to brush her fingers over the leaves and some of the petals again.

Pamela Isley has posed:
"I know where you live, and I'm closer then you might think. Do you think I trust a random delivery driver to take my one of a kind flower and not see it at least to your building." Ivy groans, "and I realized how stalker-y that sounds. Sorry. I just take care of my plants." She debates all this. "If you promise she won't attack me, and she wants to meet. I could show up. I'm not looking for anything serious. You just seemed less useless then most meatbag humans. I thought you may want to talk. I can try that now instead of next week, wait for next week if your.... did you say princess? Whatever. Or you can just enjoy the flowers with her, they're safe. And maybe we'll meet one day or not." Giving Koralina an out with no drama.

Koriand'r has posed:
Said alien princess would emerge from the bedroom, shed of her costume but at least she'd redressed. It was a coin flip sometimes when it came to her species after all, but she'd gotten more accustomed to life as an 'Earthling'. Wrapped in her shorts and a t-shirt small enough on her frame it was either a deliberate choice or a little theft of one of Karolina's own, Kori exits and makes her way up to start setting the table, a fond little touch on Karolina's back about the only interuption offered for now, completely unaware of the arborial supervillain temptress on the other end of the line for now.

Karolina Dean has posed:
"Wait, you're where?" Karolina goes to look out the fifth story window, before returning to the kitchen just in time for Starfire to emerge sans costume. "Huh? Nono, I mean, she's... literally a princess.." she tries to explain, still laughing, though this time it's at the absurdity of it all. She gives a lopsided smile to Starfire, "Hey. Poison Ivy's downstairs. She liked my costume at the pumpkin party last night. She .. sort of delivered those beautiful flowers." There's a pot with some incredibly beautiful Delphiniums in it. They bear a striking resemblance to Karolina's rainbow aura in terms of color combination.

"I was going to help her with the winter blahs by being a mini-sun. Mind if she comes up for dinner?" When you hit one end of insanity, you come back around to the other side to pure lucidity. If Karolina had adrenal glands, she'd be swimming in the rush right now. Because right now, she's teetering between madness and full clarity at the words she'd just said. "...look I've got a thing for redheads..." she states, to both women.

Pamela Isley has posed:
Ivy is just silent on the other end. Listening and watching. In more ways the one as she reaches out to feel through the Green what all is around her.

Koriand'r has posed:
The timing on that! Koriand'r actually spots the flowers in that exact moment, bending down to inhale the scent only for Karolina's words to make her blink and look back over her shoulder. "So these are from her?" she begins, blinking and turning around to consider. "She liked your dress and didn't...attack you or anything?" the question comes, the alien woman blinking for a moment and considering.

A little pause before she shrugs her bare shoulders and reaches for another plate to add to the setting. "Speaking as a redhead, I can confirm this...and she is welcome then."

Just like that. Maybe it was an alien thing, maybe it was a Kori thing...or maybe she just figured if it was some elaborate trap, they could handle it!

Pamela Isley has posed:
The phone just goes quiet on Koralina's end though. As to what is being done, on Ivy's end that's a big mystery.

Karolina Dean has posed:
Leave it to Kori to at least bring Karolina back down to earth. Somewhat. With red cheeks. "No, she didn't attack me or anything. She almost kissed me, though! Almost. She kept me um, safe from the poison... and... she likes my light, too. She knew who Elvira was, too!" Grounded and back to latching her mind to fond memories. Then Kori accepts! And Karolina is hugging the orange princess almost too tightly. She glances towards the door. Kori probably hadn't re-locked it upon entering. That's okay. "...door's unlocked if you want to come up... enough food for all of us.." she says, sounding almost sheepish.

Koriand'r has posed:
Plate down and she's being hugged! Kori gives a little giggle and leans back into the touch and then she turns around to squeeze the other woman, her own hair giving its ambiant glow and a look back towards the door with Karolina. "Elvira...the woman in black with the big hair yes? From the scary stories you showed me?" She was learning after all!

Pamela Isley has posed:
Ivy thought about just driving away but she figures she at least owes the pair a 'hello' and to see what happens. So she will head up to K and K's place to knock on the door. She's standing there in more normal clothes being some dark green leggings and an oversized tan sweater.

Karolina Dean has posed:
"Er, yeah," Karolina is still getting used to Kori-isms, herself. "The one with the..." she puts her hands on her own chest to emphasize it before glancing to the door. "There's still some dye in my hair..." she holds up a few blonde locks afterwards. They look a little... smoky. "...need another wash.." she msues. And then. The door sounds. She looks to Kori and back to the door before making her way over to it. "Told you it was unlocked..." she says with that same bright smile she always seems to have.

"Come on in?" she asks, gesturing inside. "We don't bite unless provoked..." she teases.

Koriand'r has posed:
Kori -had- improved on the speech thing, thanks to her time as a heroine and working as a model, but that didn't mean the odd 'Kori-ism' did indeed not slip out. Released from the embrace the last of the setting for three is laid out while the food continues to cook. Letting Karolina do the greeting at the door, she pauses to lean nearby, a tilt of her head as she takes in the sight of the new arrival she really only knew by reputation.

Pamela Isley has posed:
"Careful about biting this apple, its poisonous," is all Ivy says when the door opens. She's guarded about meeting the two heroes. She is in her mor normal look, red hair straight and falling past the shoulders, her skin distinctly green. She looks from one woman to the other and says more simply, "Hi."

Karolina Dean has posed:
"Hey..." Karolina says, expression soft. "You look... *really* cute in that.." she just can't help herself. Those leggings. That oversized sweater. How could she not love it? "C'mon in?" she offers again, stepping away from the door and leaving it open. "Hey, Kori? What do you want to drink?" she calls out, glancing over her shoulder at Pam. "You too. I've got orange juice, a bottle of coconut milk latte I was going to crack open... water of course.." she lists off some of the things in the home, doing her best to be a good hostess. The soft sounds of Harrison's guitar continue to play in the the background off of 'Lina's hi-fi.

She directs her radiant smile at Kori, "You're a saint, hun, thanks for helping with the settings. I really hope the food is to everyone's liking!"

Koriand'r has posed:
It probably helped that Starfire and Poison Ivy had never come to blows before, that might have made for a more akward meeting than this might already feel like.

Unfortunately for Pam perhaps, Kori didn't really -do- akward. Instead the tall orange-skinned woman simply steps forward to the green-hued guest, a smile on her lips as she lets Ivy cross the threshold herself before gesturing to herself.

"I am Koriand'r, or just Kori if you prefer! It is a pleasure to meet you!"

Positive personified indeed!

Pamela Isley has posed:
Ivy seems to consider and says, "I'll take the crushed children of orange trees." Unable to resist the dry somewhat dark humor. "I appreciate the offer of food," trying to be polite but still a bit tense. She looks up at Kori and says, "damn you're tall. Hi Kori, I'm Ivy. Least that's what most just call me." She steps in and will take a moment to look at the flowers she brought. "I appreciate not getting attacked or authorities called on me."

Karolina Dean has posed:
"Do you go by any other name?" Karolina asks, curious. "I mean, if you've got a preferred one.." she muses, going to get the beverages. The description of, well, orange juice does leave her hesitating though. "Why would we call the authorities on you? You've got a bad reputation, okay. My parents had a GREAT reputation... and that really didn't mean anything at all... so why can't the opposite be true? You're not all bad. The pumpkin thing was... pretty funny. I kind of wish I could make my plants grow like that..." she puts the glass of orange blood on the table and brings out her own glass of latte.

Koriand'r has posed:
"You are welcome!" Kori offers, only to blink a little. Crushed blood of children? Was that something they'd been drinking. And here she thought she'd got her head around most human foodstuffs! "I have had authorities called on me before. Because of being from another world...and because I did wreck part of a city when I arrived, and..." she pauses, her counting off on her fingers interupted by a drop from lighthearded to a warmer if not more serious smile. "As long as you are not here to harm us, there is certainly hope for making new friends."

As for family reputations well...we don't talk about Blackfire.

Moving to claim a drink for herself, the taller of the two radiant women looks back over her shoulder. "Karolina was telling me a little about that. Said you...sort of kissed her?"

Pamela Isley has posed:
"I mean I was not named Poison Ivy by my parents. I've got my birth name, which the papers love to say at times. That's Pamela Isley. Pam sometimes among old friends." She seems amused by the question and says, "If I was here to hurt you I'd have done so already," pointing at the flowers. "And have less obvious ways. But I rather not end up in a hospital if you don't mind. I just came by to try this friendly thing. I... don't keep human friends well."
The question of the kiss is met with emphatic denial. "Nope. We did not kiss. I faked a kiss on her to make a guard think she was under my control and so he wouldn't try to arrest her or anything. I covered her mouth with my hand and kissed my own hand. My lips aren't safe for most."

Karolina Dean has posed:
Karolina looks between Pam and Kori and back. "...um... you do realize... we're not humans... right..?" she gives a lopsided smile to Pam. "So, I mean, if that helps at all... we're... not from this planet..." she shrugs and heads for the door to close it behind Ivy. "I mean I guess I don't look it but..." she sighs. "That's why I said 'sort of'. I mean you did get in real close, and. That minty smell was nice..." she muses. "But.. can we.. call you Pamela then? Or. Pam?"

Koriand'r has posed:
A nod of her head, Koriand'r pours out her drink before nodding her head lightly and then making to nod and settling down leaning against the table. A giggle of agreement at Karolina's comment and she gestures to herself. Very much not human, but she certainly made it more obvious between the orange skin, green eyes and the whole glowing starlight thing.

Pamela Isley has posed:
"The 'human' thing means more 'not plants' with me Karolina. I have a connection and understanding with plants I don't get with people." Just not trying to explain it more because that's never really worked for her. She seems amused at the mention of minty smell, "It was a breath mint I made myself I ground up to use as a fake for the flying girl as well." She moves to sit with the women and takes her drink when offered. "I am fine with Ivy, or Pam if we're going to be casual. What about you, Karolina? And Kori it's okay to just call you that you said. Right?"

Karolina Dean has posed:
"I.. suppose that's fair enough..." Karolina muses. "I mean, I told you my body is... interesting, right? I'm basically made up of the same stuff as the sun," she nods. She'll leave Kori to describe hereslf, if she wants. She moves to give the orange princess a big hugging squeeze, or a squeezing hug, before getting the food sorted. "And Karolina is fine. Or 'Lina if you'd like something shorter?" she offers with a little shrug. "...alright... so there's... zuchinni fritters.. and.. the curry casserole has potatoes and broccoli and cauliflower in it, with some curry spices and coconut milk... little sweet, little spicy... um. Kind of an experiment, actually.. so.." she looks nervous. "..hoping it goes over well?"

Koriand'r has posed:
"Kori is fine," Starfire nods, curiousity alight at the mention of the flying girl. Finding the squeezing arms encircling around her, the redhead alien pressing back into the touch with a grin. "Interesting, but I am most certainly appreciative of it," she offers back to Karolina only to look back at Ivy. "I am from Tamaran, it is a planet far from here. How I came here is a long story, but I am quite different to many humans."

Pamela Isley has posed:
"Fishing for a compliment on your lovely appearance," asks Ivy as Karolina makes a comment on her body being interesting. She will see about getting a fritter when it is offered. "I'm sure it will be fine." She looks over t Kori then and says, "I'd love to hear of the flora from your home. Especially if you have any with out. Be fascinating to see what I could learn. Being human is overrated. I don't like most of them, and can only live near a few without any danger to them." No double dipping for Ivy either. It is always put food on her plate and eat from that. Safer for all.

Karolina Dean has posed:
"I.. well, I don't know where my home is anymore, honestly. I don't think there are any of my people on Earth either, not anymore," Karolina lifts her shoulders in a shrug and takes a big spoonful of the casserole to put it on her plate. "And, no, not fishing. Just... I mean if I was going that route I'd say something about having a heavenly body?" she lifts her shoulders in a shrug as she takes her seat and wraps her fingers around her latte cup. "Not that I'd like to test if the poison works on me though.." she muses. "..pity I suppose.." she sighs. Then blins, looking to Kori. "...DO you have any plants from Tamaran? I think I'd be curious too."

Koriand'r has posed:
A little slip into her seat and then blinking a little at the fishing comment, a little puzzlement for the phrase given. One would think with all the kissing she'd have absorbed enough language, but sometimes slang and sayings didn't click. As for talk about plantlife on Tamaran, Koriand'r smiles, leaning forward and waiting for her turn with the food. "Oh they can be quite beautiful, though some of them are a lot bigger...and some are a little more dangerous than many on Earth."

Pamela Isley has posed:
Ivy smiles at the idea of dangerous plants. "Trust me. I can make and know many dangerous plants. I could argue you are having a meal with one of them. I just wish to see. Who knows, given a chance I could see about getting a small sanctuary for them." She nibbles her food and will cross her legs. She takes small bites because she eats for flavor more then actual food. "IF you all really like plants I could show you some of the corners of the amazon I use myself."
