Cast of Characters: Morrigan MacIntyre, Bruce Banner

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
It's a pretty okay day in New York City. The sun is out, only being covered up by clouds every once in a while. Though with it getting later in the afternoon the temperature will be dropping from the comfortable seventy degrees that it's been sitting at for the last few hours. There's all sorts of activity in Central Park today, people out and enjoying the weather, people hoping that Winter doesn't settle in too fast. There is also the hints of Christmas decorations that are being unpacked by the City workers.

Morrigan's not here for the Christmas spirit really. She'd been in the city given she had meetings at Mount Sinai and couldn't get around them. After that she'd headed off to Central Park to find coffee and some peace. The red head is dressed in jeans, t-shirt and a lightweight black jacket. She's currently waiting in line to get her drink. Probably looking a little far off given the last month.

Bruce Banner has posed:
Sun's out.

So is Bruce.

He's only allowed to go to so many places. One of them happens to be Central Park, a place where many people can see him. Other places include the Triskelion and Avengers Mansion. He's been....away from sunlight for weeks. He's a busy guy. Trying to find a cure, finishing any requests the Avengers and SHIELD both give him. He clears his throat as he sits out on a bench. He's dressed in a black dress shirt with same-colored slacks.

Thick dark-rimmed glasses rest on the bridge of his nose. He swirls some coffee in his hand as he just...poeple watches.

Lives that he wishes he had, were it not for the Hulk. He takes a deep breath, and goes for another sip when he's fresh out.

Damn.

He gets up, tucking his phone into his pocket, and he heads for a shop...where he finds himself behind Morrigan.

"They're out of the pumpkin spice already?" He sighs to himself.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan used to be allergic to the sun, so to get out in it is nice! There's only a few people in the coffee line in front of her. Her lavender colored gaze gives a look to her phone then to the side as another joins the line.

She looks over her shoulder to who it is and there's a bit of a moment she turns back to the line, then double takes, "Doctor Banner?" she asks with a smile. "I think they are out of pumpkin spice, yes. But they've got..." she looks to the board, "Gingerbread and peppermint flavorings as well." she offers as she turns towards him.

Bruce Banner has posed:
Used to be?

Wonder what changed.

Bruce turns his head to her and he recognizes her. He doesn't have that spy stuff where he can recognize people by the back of their heads, but he does keep his full attention on her. When she acknowledges him, he smiles. "Dr. MacIntyre." He regards her somewhat fondly, though less as a close friend and more of a esteemed colleague.

"What brings you here? I thought you were out of town." He tilts his head at her.

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
"Can I buy your coffee?" Morrigan asks him as the line starts to shorten more. So close!

The comment of her being out of town makes her chuckle, "Is that SHIELD code for 'I heard you died?'" she asks him. Then she carries on, "I'm generally over in Happy Harbor running the high school there. But on the weekends I come visit since I'm on the board at Mount Sinai and still help out in Pathology there." she tells him.

"And how are you doing? I haven't seen you in about a year and the last time I did you were...using walls to make your exit." she tells him. "Has everything been good on your end?" the Irish woman asks him.

Bruce Banner has posed:
Bruce looks surprised at the offer, his eyebrows immediately shooting upwards. "Uhm....yeah, sure, if you want." The line starts to shorten and well...Bruce isn't exactly liquid right now, so Morrigan offering to buy his coffee is extremely helpful actually.

"No...but uh, it's good to see you walking the lands of the living again." He gives her a friendly smile. Bruce knows a thing or two about coming back to life. The Hulk always makes sure Bruce comes back to life. Without Bruce, there's no Hulk.

He clears his throat as she suddenly mentions the Hulk. "Doing fine." He says a little /too/ quickly, but he takes a breath. "I'm alright, I promise."

Morrigan MacIntyre has posed:
Morrigan offers him a warm smile, "I'd like to, yes." she tells him. Then she steps up, waiting to put the order in. "What would you like in your coffee?" she asks him. "I don't think they have whiskey shots to put in it sadly." she adds with a chuckle.

"Thank you." she tells him. "I was dead for a few weeks. It was...really odd to get brought back. And still trying to settle into the new things that came with it." she admits. There is a quirk of an eyebrow at him when he answers a bit too quickly, but she doesn't pry.

"I'm glad you are doing alright. Are you working on anything interesting lately, Doctor?" she asks him.
