Cast of Characters: Thomas Blake, Saeko

Thomas Blake has posed:
There are foxes on Staten Island and by extension, Happy Harbor. Thomas was quite surprised to watch them on his CCTV. Then he was concerned about them ending up in Rasputin's belly. Rasputin, however viewed them as too small for a proper snack and too fast and smart to be worth the bother. This happened after a fox escaped him via a low hanging branch. Thee tiger easily leaped to the same branch which was not nearly strong enough to support the tiger's mass. the fox escaped under the fence and the tiger sought breakfast elsewhere.

But today was different. Thomas would have to see to that fence. A red fox was fleeing for its life, plainly exhausted and pursued by three larger dogs, intent on murder. Then the dogs ran into the biggest fucking cat you ever saw.

Thomas hated bullies. He gave a nod to the tiger who lit after the dogs to tech them about property rights. The fox? She had fainted evidently consigning her soul to a higher power. As Thomas watched the dogs and the tiger disappear into the brush, he pulled out his phone and set out to contact such a higher power. They'd dated and more. He goes over the scrawny fox the stand guard over her. "I can never resist a woman in need."

Saeko has posed:
A phone wasn't generally how most people accessed a higher deity of the Amatsu-Kami's servant, but well...Saeko had come to adapt to the modern age. Grinning a little at the message by the time it gave it's 'click' at the screen closing Saeko was standing behind Thomas, a little grin on her lips as she tilted her head. "Making sure it wasn't one of my sisters?" she questions lightly before folding her arms under her bust, moving towards the exhausted vixen. Certainly, the idea of a fox being run down by dogs wasn't a new one, but it did bring her a memory or two from ancient times.

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake turns around to show he is now holding the fox in his arms, very befuddled fox who is having trouble focussing her eyes and making little fox cries, wondering if she went from the frying pan into the fire. "I really only get this reaction from felines. I'm amazed. I think she likes me, even though I scared the hell out of her. Anyway... what do I do with her? I kind of feel responsible having saved her and winter is coming." Most of his colleagues on the wrong side would hardly recognize his look of benevolence.

"Oh... don't tell me she's a kitsune too..."

Saeko has posed:
"Oh no," Saeko offers, moving forwards and gently reaching out a hand to ruffle out the little fox's head, a soothing influence passing between her fingers as the Kitsune's natural affinity for the vulpine creatures comes into play, Saeko's own foxy features revealed in this private setting. "She's simply a fox, but no less worthy of care. Even the non-kitsune are creatures of Inari after all."

A little extension of her hands, it was clear she was offering to take the creature into her own embrace.

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake passes the vixen over to Saeko. He also takes the moment to plant a kiss on her fuzzy cheek. "Yeah that would be pretty wild. Could she use some food? I have Rasputin's dry food and a hamburger that was going to be my breakfast. I think she needs it worse." He gives the fox' flank a stroke in passing. He strokes Saeko's fox ear affectionately as well. You do not want a Tenko to be jealous. He feels the vixen's ribs easily under her fur.

Saeko has posed:
"A little staring into the fox's eyes, Saeko seems to be passing some thought between herself and the creature before she boops its nose to her own and looks up at Thomas in time for her to have her own ear stroked and to smile. "I will ensure she is looked after, but if you wish to feed her, I'm sure she will appreciate it."

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake goes back in the house returning with some dry food in a small bowl. He brought another bowl of water and sets both down. "Well, I guess I won't see you... you're going to live in a lovely temple. Hey, do I get any credit with Inari for this? I can use some luck tomorrow... I'm in a competition for some big bucks. I mean I'd have helped her anyway..." he adds quickly.

Saeko has posed:
A shake of Saeko's head and she speaks, setting the fox down to eat. "She'll live near the park and keep me company at times," the Tenko explains, shrugging her shoulders. "The altar is hardly a Temple worthy of a Tenko...but I like it for its modesty and connection to the city."

His question of favor? It brings a laugh and a shrug of her shoulders. "Perhaps, you will simply have to see now, won't you?"

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake watches the vixen devour her offering. He shrugs at Saeko's ambiguous answer. "Fair enough. Some things you just do for the soul... if I still have one. She hasn't had a good meal in a while. I set the tiger on the dogs chasing her. But I fed Rasputin before and I didn't hear any yelps or screeches. I guess they got away. Do you think it's weird, the way I take pity on this little ragamuffin and then the next..." He makes a stabbing motion. "You know, they did test me at Arkham, but I think they marked it on a curve for budget reasons." He gives Saeko a hug, more for himself.

Saeko has posed:
"What I -can- promise you is...I will be here to tend to you, assuming your pixie is not," Saeko muses lightly. Sympathy for the dogs that were hunting the fox? Well it seemed rather lacking, but then again she likely simply viewed it as the nature of living creatures and their hungers...but she seemed to like the lesser cousin.

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake retains the hug, lowering his arms around er hips and booping their noses. "You should come by more. Pixie likes you. You gals can talk magic and such. I miss you... I mean everyone drops in here, most stay. I got Gabby and her psychotic sister in the poolhuse. I have a magical tiger man sleeping in my porch, looking for a job. I don't know where they all come from. Then again I brought a demon princess home so I guess I contribute to this."

Saeko has posed:
"I am not hard to find," she points out, chuckling lightly before she gestures to herself. "After all, between offerings and summonings..." she trails off, a look to the fox at her feet who simply disappears as it finishes after its meal, vanishing to its new hideaway. "But yes, it sould like things have been entertaining to you."

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake looks away for a moment. "I... try to keep busy. Zinda says to look for an outlet but... maybe you're the only one who understands this -fighting is my outlet. I try to have fun, stay busy... but eventually the knife calls to me. I'm messed up. I know this. At least I'm nice to animals. Some animals... I hope the little fox doesn't mind teleporting. But your teleporting was always pretty comfortable. Demon porting... ugh. Pixie's portals are pretty pleasant."

Saeko has posed:
"I am not human Thomas," Saeko points out lightly. "So what I view as normal may be...unhelpful." Still she does return the hug lightly with a coiling of her tails, a lazy smile and laugh at the mention of the fox. "I'm sure it will be fine, besides...she will forget about it rather swiftly."

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake nods. "I know you're not human. Some of my best friends aren't."

"I'm just not sure what I qualify as."
