Joan Wright has posed:
If there's one thing that can be said about a new relationship, it's that time flies. It can even be jarring when one looks to the calendar to realize what day it is. Or in other cases, seeing Christmas decorations pop up in local stores.

Good God it's November! Joan's spent so much time over at Ted's that she hasn't done much work on her own house and now she must rectify that. She's got one more room to rennovate and that involves supplies.

And that is how Joan ended up at the hardware store. Not just ANY hardware store either. Joan and Ted are at Nutty Ned's picking up some custom bolts where they're so custom the price will make you jolt.

Restoration isn't cheap.

The door dings as it opens, granting Joan entrance. She pauses, holding the door open.

Ted Kord has posed:
B.O.B. 09, Bingo by name floats in. Ted raps on the bot's shell, "Don't you know to hold the door for a lady... not me! Her, stupe!" Ted does hold the door for Joan and the bot moves into, its laser edge finder running over the room quickly and drawing some oohs from a few customers chatting over coffee. "Ned's got custom nuts... interesting. I'm going to watch 09. I think its ready to become a he or she or even they." He follows his creation down an aisle.

Joan Wright has posed:
Watching the exchange, Joan smiles, tilting her head slightly to give Ted a kiss on the cheek. They're in public about to go hardware shopping after all. "You're sweet." She comments, "But if I demanded everyone to hold the door open for me, I wouldn't get far on the construction site."

Moving further into the store, she gestures towards the back. "Ned knows his nuts. He's also very good at making good recreations if the part is no longer made." She gestures towards the back, "We'll have to head to the back to pick up my order."

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord moves out of the aisle quickly as 09 blasts by him and makes for the door. The bot does open the door and retreats a yard or two from it. The robot's manipulators quiver. "Excuse me a minute. Someone may be having an origin. I'll be right back." He goes running after his errant creation. "Hey stay there! You want to attract an angry mob or something... stay put! Order/order/order Hold current position. End order." he holds the door for a lady entering the store.

Joan Wright has posed:
Joan comes to a stop as she watches Ted head after 09. "They're all growing up so fast." She comments to herself. Well, what's another few minutes waiting to get the bolt? It's not like it's a set time window.

She starts to follow after Ted, curious to see how the youngest bot with them is going to develop.

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord gesticulates at the bot, in an interrogatory manner. The bot responds, pointing at the shop, making slippery motions, then tapping its abdomen. More gestures from Ted. This is followed by Ted pushing the bot and dragging it back to the store. Ted huffs and keeps an arm around the machine, even patting it. "It seems to be saying all the nuts and bolts and oil made him nauseous. I told him that he doesn't have a stomach. I think he was trying to throw up."

Joan Wright has posed:
The Damage Control employee steps outside in time to see the remaining portion of the inquiry. The explanation for the odd behavior gets a curious look. "Hmm...I guess that would that be the equivalent of someone finding out the hard way that they're not cut out to be a medic."

She looks over to 09. "Do you need to wait out here while I pick up my order?"

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord finds the bot is not moving another micron. He hears the auxiliary thrusters warming up in fact. "I better stay here with him, or her for that matter. Hell of a way to come into the world." He pats the bot again. "Think about pronouns pal. You have options. Bailey can help." Bingo pats Ted's arm. "09 is kind of affectionate."

Joan Wright has posed:
Taking that to be a 'yes' from 09, Joan gives a nod. "I'll try to be quick." She promises, "I might be slow depending on how many fans Bingo made in there."

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord says, "No autographs. He/she isn't feeling great. I'm giving Bingo a full diagnostic when we get home." The bot manages to wobbled convincingly. Almost. "I made a bot that gets nauseous. And is a drama queen."

Joan Wright has posed:
"Well, it would be boring if the kids all acted the same." Joan replies, smiling, "At least they're keeping it interesting." She looks over to Bingo, "Take your time." With a promise to be quick made and an understanding that there will be no autographs, Joan turns to brave the wilds of the nut shop on her own.
