Cast of Characters: Brick Bardo, Diana Prince

Brick Bardo has posed:
"Shit you goddamn mother humping piece of...AARGH!" Brick's foul-mouthed tirade cut short as a panel explodes near his head in a shower of sparks. His spacecraft was already in the atmosphere but something wasn't right, the continent shapes were all wrong, the greens were too bright, the oceans didn't have that familiar purple tinge. He saw the other craft he was pursuing veer off ahead of him but as he pulled back on the sticks nothing happened, there was no following, for now.
"Lucky sonuvabitch, alright land this thing Bardo, you read the manual. Once. While drinking," Brick peptalks himself as he flicks switches and twists a dial, a few lights coming on. The ground was gaining features now and coming up quickly, if he could find a nice open..."City. Crap," Brick bemoans as he finds his craft nosediving towards a metropolitan area. He did not need another destruction of property report to fill out. There though, a tiny patch of green in the center, quickly becoming larger. Again he pulls at the stick and slams a fist on the landing gear. The ship shudders and slows, barely it seems. It was going to be rough and it's no longer words but simply a long drawn out holler as he comes towards the surface, the silvery spacecraft tilting its nose up ever so slightly. It was a water landing, of sorts as he hits a pond, the spacecraft skipping off it like a stone bouncing him around inside the cockpit before it finally careens into a forest of reeds on the bank. A thin trail of smoke leaks from the ship while Brick coughs inside, a thin trail of blood leaking from his forehead as he unbuckles himself. The floor is leaning at an odd angle and alarms are blaring but all he wants right now is to get outside.

Outside in the darkened park a few ducks have scattered but there's no sound of disaster sirens or destruction. The whole spaceship not much more than 3 and a half feet wide where it rests smoking in the reeds like an expensive toy, a momentary blip on a few radars, a shooting star to those keeping watch.

Diana Prince has posed:
As 'luck' would have it, the Invisible Jet MkII was enroute to the Embassy after a journey to the Atlantic Starport. A journey that only takes a small amount of time due to the sheer speed of the alien-tech-powered Jet... When the newly arriving alien ship causes a warning to sound off to those within the Jet, it responds by adjusting course to fly over Central Park...

"There appears to be a life form aboard the small vessel." The Jet's AI had told those within it. "Whatever it is, it must be checked." A voice called back...

After Brick's ship crashes across the lake, and then ends up off to one shoreline side, and after the ducks have settled back down on to the water, two boots touch down on the grass not too far away... two armored boots, of gold and red metal, each with a wedge-heel that boosts the height of the wearer up even more than her natural height would yield.

The boots stand there a moment, apart just a little, as the figure looks over the 'landing area' of this small ship.

Then, the right boot steps forward, followed by the left, and with a quiet exhale, the Princess of Themyscira looks down at the small vehicle... her chin lowers ever so slightly as she just gazes down on to it, her dark hair flowing around her shoulders in the cold December winds that do not seem to phase her in the least.

"What... is this?" Diana asks down toward the craft...

Brick Bardo has posed:
Unaware of anything happening outside and choking on the bit of smoke inside the craft Brick makes his way back to the exit airlock and hits the button to open it. Nothing happens at first until he slams his fist harder and it reluctantly slides open letting in a waft of fresh New York air. It was better than what he had to work with inside and he stumbles out...and down into the mud. Another litany of curses and he picks himself up, shaking his hands free of mud and looking about the massive reeds that extend far overhead like trees. "Where the Hell..." he starts to say when he feels a tremor and the water around him ripples. Another and another. Something was coming. Something big. Brick wades through the knee deep water at the pond's embankment, unaware most would simply qualify it as a puddle and ducks down behind a large rock and pulls his gun free. What terrible, snarling, blood-thirsty...

"No goddamn way," whispers Brick under his breath as Diana's face appears over the reeds as she looks down at his banged up craft and expresses her own confusion about matters.

Brick had a choice to make. Stay silent and still, carefully judge the situation, learn what he can, formulate a plan. Or..."Hey! Back off toots! That's private property is what it is!" exclaims a very small and some might say squeaky voice as Brick climbs awkwardly atop the rock bringing him almost ankle high to the heeled Amazon, waving his gun in a 'back up' manner, tilting up his chin and puffing out his chest as he does his damndest to look tough.

Diana Prince has posed:
Diana didn't visually see the man fall out of his ship. The reeds blocked it as she approached. But when she did reach the little vessel, she moved the golden spear in her right hand out, extending its pointed tip to touch the ship's damaged hull.

Poke, poke, nudge, nudge.

The Princess is doing this when that squeaky voice chimes up, and out, at her. Diana, towering above the small man, looks over, and then down to stare upon him.

Her brown eyes just blink at what she beholds. Is this a mistake of some kind? Was this tiny man supposed to be this size? She raises her spear up to point its sharp tip toward the sky now, as she turns and steps back from him just once, so as not to be directly above him.

"Hello..." Diana speaks out, her naturally husky-toned voice laced with an accent even foreign to this city, not that he'd be familiar with either.

"Are you... injured?" The super tall woman says down to the super short space man.

Brick Bardo has posed:
A spear. He was learning things after all. Brick had hardly gotten a good look at the city on his approach between the fire and the crashing, he'd just seen gray buildings. They must be stone age. Primitive giants. He'd seen a movie like this once though even there the giants hadn't been quite so...giant. Keeping his gun in hand yet Brick reaches up with his free hand as he feels something on his nose and wipes away a smear of blood onto his palm, grumbling as he roughly then wipes it off on his coat.

"I...AM...GOOD" he enunciates his words clearly, slowly, and for him loudly. Just the way someone might try and talk to a caveman in a movie. Patting that hand against his chest he continues, "ME BRICK. FALL FROM SKY. SKY SEE?!" he points up now. Clearly she'd just spoken the same language just fine but Brick had his preconceived notions now.

"GREAT METAL BIRD CARRY ME. IT...uh...FROM GODS! YES! ME ONE OF GODS! YOU FEAR ME!" he intones in that same slow-speak. He needed to impress this primitive, prove to her she was dealing with divine powers beyond her simple comprehension. He doesn't want to fire his gun, that might be too much. Instead he fishes in his coat pocket and comes up with a flashlight, flicking it on the bright light still hardly much of anything given its size as he waves it around. "I CONTROL THE POWER OF THE SUN SEE?!"

Diana Prince has posed:
Diana's armor is certainly fancy, and though it is rooted in styles from this planet that have aged out thousands of years gone-by now, it still is quite nice in its creation, but... the devil is in the details, as they say.

The princess purses her lips. She does glance up to the sky when he motions toward it, then she's looking back down on to him as he shines a flashlight up at her.

Now she is just tilting her head toward her right shoulder as she tries to maintain a straight face... tries very hard. She just nods once down toward him.

"I am impressed with what you have shown me." She says down to him now, her smoky words possibly laced with a great heaving effort to play in to his assumptions here.

"I am so impressed, in fact, that I feel I should warn you of something..."

She pauses, for effect.

A splash is heard behind Brick then.

"There is a toad behind you." She then dryly warns him.

And sure enough a toad just as big as he, maybe even another inch taller, is moving toward him, to inspect... perhaps eat....

"Do you require assistance, or are you advanced enough to defend yourself?" The Princess then asks down to the small man before her.

Brick Bardo has posed:
That was weird, she didn't LOOK very impressed with all she was showing him despite what she was saying, her face not exactly hard to read given it was larger than most billboards he knew. And she wasn't speaking at all like his caveman movie. "You're not uh, you're not buying this are you?" he concludes, waving the flashlight beam up and down her a few times just to see if maybe she'd flinch at the Sun's divine power. Not surprisingly that fails and a bit of bluster goes out of Brick's sails as his shoulders sag.

"Look I don't know what is happening here but right now I think YOU are a slightly bigger concern than a to-HOLY SWEET GALLGAN!" Brick cries out to some divine entity from his world as he glances over his shoulder and sees not a toad but a dinosaur closing in on him, eyes as big as his head locked onto him with malicious intent. Diana's amusement perhaps slightly short-lived as Brick does lift his gun, that adorably tiny little peashooter that one imagines must fire the equivalent of sandgrains, it probably tickled if...and then he pulls the trigger and the toad vanishes. In its place is simply a red mist and a few scraps of skin, the sound of the gun far louder than its appearance would suggest and its power far FAR outpacing what it should be able to do. Brick stands there a moment longer still holding the gun towards where the great beast had once stood and then lifts it up to blow smoke off the barrel. "Crisis averted," the trigger-happy pipsqueak proclaims sounding downright proud of himself for vaporizing the local wildlife.

Diana Prince has posed:
Diana sees him brandish a little gun, and is about to speak when he just fires it at the toad and obliterates it. She feels a pang of sorrow for the creature, but then just exhales softly. "Well done..." She states in something akin to a near-grumble of words.

But, forgoing that, Diana bends at the knee, her right going down on to the soft grass to support her, her left going out in front of her. She kneels like this to get a little more on-level with him, even if it's no where near enough to be eye to eye still.

Her spear is set down beside her, and her hand is offered out to him, the palm wrapped in leather, but her fingers still bare skin. "I am Diana, of Themyscira, an island nation upon this world. You have arrived here, to our homeworld, called Earth, and I am an ambassador of our people... to others, such as yourself."

She isn't really going with the 'savage' speeches, even if her attire might still confuse the traveller's mind.

She just offers her huge hand, should he wish to shake it, or a fingertip...

Brick Bardo has posed:
Quite clearly Brick was on edge as the titanic Amazon came closer, his eyes flicking this way and that trying to watch all of her limbs at the same time while one of his feet slides back, not quite a step backwards as he catches himself and consciously stops himself as she looms over him. Meanwhile the tip of his gun seems to be barely held in check from pointing at her, his hand twitching as he fights the urge. Don't shoot the alien giant Brick his brain told him and for a change of pace he was listening to it, his head trauma from the rough landing probably at work. He sucks in a deep breath and then with a reluctant growl holsters his gun back into his mud and blood-stained coat.

"Brick Bardo, from planet Arturus, sheriff by trade," he shares as he makes himself take a couple steps forward and then claps at her fingertip like he was a musclebound jock trying to impress with their strength. He couldn't let her think he was weaker than her after all as he squeezes her fingertip with far more force than he'd ever shaken a woman's hand before. Or men for that matter. Diana, might feel the tiniest of squeezes before he lets go. Business, he had to remember why he was on this giant muddy hellhole as he shares, "I was chasing a fugitive, goes by Garish. Lunatic tried to kill me with some device he stole and instead we popped out on your Earth. Any luck his ship is as banged up as mine, or better yet he did get eaten by a toad already," he callously wishes.

Diana Prince has posed:
Naturally that impressive handshake goes far to send waves of being impressed through the Princess. After it's done, she draws her arm back to place it atop her thigh, her leather half-gloved hand resting over that armored left boot that extends up above her knee. She levels her gaze down at him where she is kneeling before him, though still tower above him. "I see..." She notes. "And this criminal is... the same size as you?" She inquires, trying to be careful with her wording there!

Her gaze goes back over to his ship, on her right side now. She looks to its smoking form for just a second, before shifting her stare back down unto him.

"My scanners only picked up your arrival. But it's possible we could track down other similar traces from other observation stations across the planet." She relays down to him. "We just opened our first Starport upon this world, though you missed it by some distance..." A faint smirk touches her red hued lips for a moment.

"Your ship seems to require repairs... which I think some can help you with here, though it certainly will be a specialty job... Would you like transit to our starport?" She then asks of the small man before her. "Perhaps some medical attention too.." She notes, seeing that bit of blood amongst the mud upon him.

Brick Bardo has posed:
Brick is far less careful with his own words. "Of course he's normal-sized like me. This whole world, must be something strange about it if everyone here is this large. Maybe gravity or something in the water...I'm no scientist but you get the idea," Brick shares bluntly, his own world not having yet made contact with other alien species but quite certain in his mind that surely the majority must be the PROPER size. It's his own turn now to look back at his smoking ship and a hiss of air sounds from between his lips at the sight of it. He knew enough to do basic repairs but this was, a bit more than that as he runs a hand back through his shock of white hair and then shoves both hands into his long coat.

"Suppose you're right. We'll need a tow service or something though. I know you're...you know...TALL," Brick at least having enough sense not to call a woman 'big' to her face, or ankle as the case may be. "But that sucker is still pretty heavy bogged down in the mud. Maybe we get a couple of guys, or a winch maybe," Brick helpfully suggests to the demi-goddess as he pulls one hand free of his coat pocket holding a flask and downing a swig.

Diana Prince has posed:
There comes another soft smile to grace Diana's lips as she hears him say all of this. "You are in a city right now, the literal heart of one, filled with ten million people roughly the same size as I am, some shorter, some taller... The rest of the planet is mostly the same as well. Though, you will find many animals, and insects, roughly your stature... similar to that of the poor toad that you vaporized..."

After saying this, Diana stands back up again, that massive spear held up once more, and now spun around to be attached to her back, a leather harness worn over her body that shifts some as the spear is fastened to it on her backside.

"We will see about needing help... first, lets see..."

The Princess turns then, steps toward his ship, and squats for just a moment to gather her arms around it. She stands again, now craddling the ship in her arms. "Oh look at that, it barely weighs an ounce." She says in a tone of voice that is nothing 'short' of mocking.

With a look back to him, Diana approaches again. She kneels once and offers him her right hand to step upon, her left arm holding his ship tucked beneath it against the side of her body there.

"If you trust in me, I can take you and your transport to our Starport, where the finest in our world's technicians can help you piece it back together..."

Her hand is offered then, should he wish to step upon it.

Brick Bardo has posed:
Millions? Her size? The hairs on the back of Brick's neck went on end. If they DID find a way back to his planet then Arturus wouldn't stand a chance. He had to be careful. He had to...calm down. A smoke, he needed a smoke, Brick pulling out the world's tiniest cigarette as he mulled over her words while Diana situated herself by his ship, his eyes flicking to her as he lights the cig and rolls his eyes. He knew while the ship was 'small' compared to her it was still comprised of heavy metals and the front was buried 6 inches deep in thick mud. If he saw something that big there was no way he could ever...and then she simply plucks it free as if it was nothing. The cigarette between his lips dangles there on his lower lip and then falls to the rock and rolls off into the water without him even noticing as he watches her stride back over carrying what is possibly his only way home the way he'd carry a bag of groceries.

"How...you..." he starts and stops, pointing between his ship and back to the depression in the mud where it once lay. His eyes going to her arms. Muscled but feminine, it didn't, was it the size difference? For the first time Brick looks properly nervous as she holds her hand back out to him and he considers how strong just her fingers might be and he stares at her palm in silence just long enough for it to be awkward. And then in the distance, a toad croaks. Brick flinches and then does his best to cover it up by jumping into her palm as if that's what he'd been planning, but he's also clearly looking back over his shoulder for signs of another dino-sized amphibian. As her hand lifts he sways a bit and finds himself kneeling down to steady himself, his jaw braced tightly, obviously not comfortable with any of this situation.

"Fine, fine we'll go check this starport of yours. But you try and put me up in a dollhouse for the night and there's gonna be trouble," he warns her, his voice tight as he tries his best yet to sound tough.

Diana Prince has posed:
Once he hops on to her palm, Diana rises up to her full height, and moves her hand in front of her as she steps through the reeds, through the wet surface of the park's lake shore. She starts up the more well maintain grass, and hears what he says before her... she does have fantastic super hearing too afterall.

"I would not dream of it." She tells him upon hearing that comment about the doll house.

Out ahead of her on the grassy lawn, something happens... There is a waver in the air, followed by the sudden appearance of a cloud-hued ship. Elegantly designed, the dagger-like ship just hovers there off of the ground. To Diana it is large, to Brick it would be massive.

"This is my ride." Diana says casually as she holds HIS ship still tucked up against her left side, while holding him in front of her torso in her right hand, the soft leather glove she wears warm to the touch for him.

The 'Visible Jet' opens its own gangplank, with a rush of wind coming down as the ramp just extends like a liquid dream from the open hatch that leads inside it.

"The rooms at the starport may not quite be befitting you, but I am sure we can find something that will not cause you any offense." The Princess says as she heads up the ramp now, her steps casual and light, leading up in to the beautiful vehicle before them.

Brick Bardo has posed:
Cavewoman. He'd thought she was a damn cavewoman before, Brick's cheeks burning red at the memory as he gapes at the unstealthed craft which, well his burning mud-stained ship even on its best day was far more utilitarian looking, blocky and built entirely for function, not grace. Something he was starting to feel more and more about himself as well compared to the Amazon as they head inside and he gives up even on kneeling and simply sits his butt on the warm leather of her glove, trying to tell himself it was just like sitting on a sofa. Why'd he have to drop his smoke?

"What's this all going to cost me anyhow? You all take Arturan credits here or what?" he questions, his eyes scoping out her jet as they move around lest he need to move around on his own, or get away in a hurry. Thinking about that fact he actually pulls out what looks like a pair of dark sunglasses and puts them on like some sort of weirdo who wears shades indoors. Which while he does approve of such a look, the glasses also begin to fill his vision with bits of technical data and scans of his surroundings, as well as diagnostics on his ship. If holding his ship was nothing for her he was practically air, his whole body weighing not much more than 4-5 ounces at best, barely dimpling the leather of her glove, one of his fingers somewhat nervously scratching at its surface. Trying not to let on the fact he was electronically spying he carries on, "If you're gonna make me wash dishes in the kitchen to pay for it you're gonna be low on spoons pretty quick I can tell you."

Diana Prince has posed:
Once they are inside of the Jet, its hatch closes in upon itself with a gust of equalizing air pressure inside of the vehicle. The interior of the ship is just as impressive as the exterior, all cloud-hued in shade, with furniture up against the partially see-through walls that still show the park outside, and the city buildings beyond that.

Diana steps further in to the Jet, and finds a flat surface to gently place the small starship down upon. She moves her hand then to let him off on the same surface. "Here you go."

Once he's stepped off of her hand, she straightens again and looks down at his ship. "It is pretty banged up, I can tell just from looking it over in the most basic of ways... but... this won't cost you anything." She tells him, her eyes going to him next, a smirk shown. "Perhaps just a little more information on who you are, and where you came from. Our people are new to space travel... thus we are quite curious about other species living out there, amongst the stars..."

Diana steps away from him then, and places her spear upon a station designed for it that holds other gladiatorial weaponry, as well as a few pieces of armor.

"I will let the Starport know that we are coming." She says then as she starts to walk toward the fore of the room. "Lanis." Diana speaks up, and a calm female voice replies. "Set a return course for the Starport, and let them know that we have made contact with a visitor."

The female voice replies with a soft affirmative, and soon the landscape that is partially visible THROUGH the Jet's bulkheads begins to move, yet there's next to no sound, or motion felt, the Jet moving silently and nearly without any reverberations.
