Cast of Characters: Wanda Maximoff, James Barnes

Wanda Maximoff has posed:
'Teas the night before Christmas, when all through Brooklyn
All the creatures were hungry and ready to dine;
The dishes are placed on the tables with care,
Oodles of noodles and other eastern fare,
Wanda is nestled all snug next to Bucky,
While a robot cat delivers steaming hot tea.
The assassin looking dashing, the witch rather pleased,
Might be about to tuck in when the robot sneezed.
A message blurted out: "Error 5051, report back to base,"
Brings a server hustling into a cat-bot chase.
Away to the window, it rolls like a flash,
Hot and sour soup tipping over with a splash,
The moon on the tiles gives a fine glow,
A lustre on puddles gathered below.
When what to their wondering eyes did appear,
But the chuckling chef come forth with a large beer,
With a rolling mop, ever so lively and spry,
To clean up the mess in the twinkling of an eye.

"I am convinced lagman is nearly the perfect meal. I could eat these forever," Wanda murmurs, watching the hasty mess be handled and the robotic cat waiter get hauled back to be reset with a funny little puck-shaped charger.

James Barnes has posed:
"I'd never had any before," Bucky admits, wiping his mouth off with a napkin and then leaning back in his seat, lifting an arm and draping it over the back of Wanda's seat, his hand rising up to slip into her auburn hair and scritch the back of her head.

"But it was pretty good. I specially liked the sauce."

Wanda Maximoff has posed:
"I've put this in dishes before," Wanda says with a laugh. "It looks a bit like udon and soba. Nothing else compares to the way they make it here, though. You can taste the love they put into the noodles." It's just possible that she might on a metaphysical level. Though the satisfaction for stabbing a fat noodle or swirling around a morsel of meat is universal through most cultures. She twirls her chopstick with some difficulty, the fork at the ready to catch any strays. Still a bit more of her dish, but the amount required to sustain both their metabolisms probably make dining out expensive as heck.

"Are you coming with me next week to Pietro and Micola's wedding?"

James Barnes has posed:
Bucky raises a brow and then lifts his hand, pushing his hair back along his head and then shrugs. He eyes Wanda, and then shrugs. "Hell. I can't let you go somewhere like that alone. No telling what sort of danger in a wedding might be." Plus, to be fair, Bucky loves weddings. Mostly for the food. Plus all his training makes it easy to just _tune out_ the rest, which doesn't just work for long waits before you assassinate someone. "What day is it?"

Wanda Maximoff has posed:
"His wedding, he deserves to be the centre of attention for once. The boys will be there and Lorna too. Father can be expected but you know he always has his own intentions." Wanda rolls her shoulders, a small shrug accepting the nature of Magneto for what it is. She doesn't want to jar Bucky too much, so she moderates that. "Do you really think someone would risk a wedding reception? The press, perhaps. We have a sordid history with them sometimes." Raising the cup of tea to her lips is a reason for a pause altogether.

"Friday evening. I'm going to spin up something suitably festive for the occasion, since stores are never as fun as I want them to be." A smile brightens for Bucky. "You look so good in a suit. Is it wrong for me to say that is just worth it?"

James Barnes has posed:
Bucky rolls his eyes a little bit. "The press. Yeugh." He shakes his head. "But yeah, I can put on the monkey suit for the wedding. Might actually get to _meet_ Lorna, it might be a whole event." He smirks at her. "Your father I'm not too jazzed about," he teases. "But I'm sure that'll be interesting too."

Wanda Maximoff has posed:
"You can expect a few. For the interest section or if Father sent them. I doubt Lorna would," replies the witch. Her rueful grin hides behind the rim of the teacup, fingers spanning the pink diamond motif around the edges and worn gilt. "Attention is not something we seek. You can meet her behind closed doors and use her to deflect Father if necessary. With any luck it will be only the Avengers. Steve, his adventuress girlfriend. Natasha, perhaps? That would be nice."
