Date of Scene: 28 December 2022

Synopsis: Clea and Mary Jane meet at Ray's Occult and catchup.
Cast of Characters: Mary Jane Watson, Clea

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
She's heard stories about this place. That it has spooks, spectres, and sometimes Spenglers. So on an off day from SHIELD, Mary Jane has wandered on in and is looking about. She's curiously poking around to some of the things on display and then glancing over at the exit door that has that very specific symbol with a slash through it. "Looks like something from a movie." She would mutter lightly.

Clea has posed:
Clea's been trying to get out more and to explore things. When someone told her that there were 'Occult Stores' there had been a bit of a blink from the woman. But here she was after a search online and then an address remembered. Petty dabblers and those that were not occult affecianados probably ate this place up, but Clea was better seeing things in practice than just taking their word.

She's dressed in jeans, boots and a light weight leather coat in purple as she steps in. She more glides than steps really. It's just her way. It might freak people out, but Clea was definitely not of this world and it was easy to see.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson turns over to Clea and blink, "Oh, hey there." She's met Clea before, even if minimally. The Sonja part of her is wary but the Mary Jane part is fully relaxed. "Didn't expect you to be hte touristy type." She would quip, looking around and taking a lok up the firepole. "That sort of thing seems like it'd be fun."

She would muse. Maybe one of the Hellicarriers could get some. "I hope everything's been well with you."

Clea has posed:
Clea stops, mid float when she's addressed, those violet-blue eyes of hers scanning Mary Jane for a moment and remembering her from the tea house, "Oh, hello." she whispers. "I'm generally...not touristy. But someone mentioned there were these 'occult' shops and I wanted to see one for myself." she admits. She looks to the pole, "Is that something people slide on?" she asks her.

"Things have been...alright." she nods. "How about you? Did you have a good Christmas? I think that's the holiday that just passed." she nods to that.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would smile, "Yes, it was.. Pleasant. Got to spend some time with friends I hadn't seen in awhile and had the afternoon off. Got ot visit my aunt and crashed with her overnight. Not had the time to do so in awhile." She would grin over at Clea. "Fair enough. This place does have a.." She would look about.

"Unique atmosphere." From what little she knows of the occult, it seems to have at least some working things.

Clea has posed:
Clea listens to Mary Jane and there's a gentle nod, "It is good to get out and see friends. Lets us know that we aren't alone in things." she states with a smile. "It seems like there is always some crisis or situation that needs tending to, so I understand not having the time to do that." she admits. Then there is a look around the shop before looking back to MJ.

"There are some things here, I guess it's better than some places that I've seen." she muses to that. "Maybe I'll have to keep this on my places to go list." she nods to that. "Have you made any new discoveries about you and your...situation?" she asks her.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would nod over at Clea, "It's.. Going about the same as it's been." Complicated. "She's happy, she got to ride a cuople of sea monsters." And a big zombie. The things that made Sonja happy were few and far between.

She would look over the items on display. "They all look pretty weird to me. And I do sort of wonder, it reminds me of somewhere. And I'm glad that you're doing fair."

Clea has posed:
Clea gives a soft nod to that, "Hopefully it'll get easier as time goes along." she tells her. "I don't know a lot about human souls and things of that nature or I would offer some sort of help." she explains. "But I'm sure somebody around could look into it if you wanted?" she offers. There were lots of magical folks in New York City.

"What place does it remind you of if I can ask?" she looks to the case and there is a smile to things. "Some of the weirder looking things seem mundane to me. I think it's just perspective." she admits.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would nod, "I.. Don't want to. It's.. Hard, but if she's taken from me she'll be off to oblivion and nothingness. There's not enough left of her to move on. So when she goes there's nothing left of her. I'd rather have her as a ghost than nothing. So long as she doesn't feel like the void."

Mary Jane won't condemn Sonja to death and nothingness. Whether or not that would be the end result. "Something I saw in a movie. Sorta in a firehouse. Can't quite recall it.."

Clea has posed:
"Oh I didn't mean to sound like you should part ways with her." Clea states with a shake of her head, sending alabastrine locks to and fro as she does. "If you and her are able to exist amicably then I think it is healthy for you." she admits. "Sharing a soul, or even a fragment of one can sometimes cause unwanted side effects from what I've heard, but I'm guessing if you'd noticed anything like that before now you'd have handled it." she nods.

"From a movie?" she asks her. "I rarely watch TV. So I probably don't recognize where it might be from." she admits with a chuckle.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would smile, "Yeah. I'm.. Aware of those. I've had quite a few people tell me extensively about them. I could probably guest lecture at this point." The joke comes smoothly at this point as she cracks a smile. "We don't quite fully get along and I don't think we ever will. But she's a part of me now and.. Well, I'm just having to live with her." The grumble that goes across her face is a signal that Sonja's replying mentally.

"Yeah, probably just misremembering here."

Clea has posed:
Clea gives the young woman a smile, "I apologize to add to that, then." she tells her. "But I am glad that you have so many that could inpart the wisdom." she nods to that. "I think it's nice that you want to keep her with you." she tells her quietly. "I don't think I have a soul...sadly." she admits to that. It makes her look to something else a bit out of focus for a moment. Then back to the present.

"I'm sure your memory is fine. But I'm guessing it doesn't help that I'm still pretty new to this realm when I think about it." she chuckles. "Were you looking for something in particular?" she asks.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would laugh, "Oh, nothing to apologize for. I've had lots of people a lot smarter and wiser than I am let me know of the risks, consequences, and where it could go. It's them expressing concern and wanting ot help. No matter thier own obligations or what a priority it is. They're showing they care and worry even if I've never met them to be available. That's a very good thing of people. No matter where they're from."

She would shrug, "No, just exploring. I saw the sign and realized I'd never beenin here though I'd wandered past a lot of times."

Clea has posed:
"Thank you." Clea tells her with a nod to her. She listens to Mary Jane speak on the people she knows and there is a soft smile, "It is good to have people." she nods to that. Maybe someday Clea would have people like that. She then gives a look around and there's a smile, "Well, I'll let you get back to exploring for the time being then. It was fortuitous that we were both on the same path this evening." she tells her.

Then she thinks of something, "I hope you have a good New Year. I hear that people get together for big parties and things." she states.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would smile, "Same to you. Well, I don't know what you do but I hope you get something relaxing." She didn't exactly know if Clea had any friends or family or anyone to spend time with. "Hey, if you don't have anything you're going to be wandering about and doing I can offer you a place to crash for a change of pace if you wanted to go out and hang. Least I could do."

Clea has posed:
Clea smiles, "I'm sure I'll get into something. I know we've got a wedding that night for one of our Avenger bretheren, but we'll see." she states. She reaches over to find a piece of paper from the counter and then a pen. She scribbles down a number and then hands it back to her, "If you need anything, feel free to call." she tells her.

She then replaces the pen and smiles, "Be safe in your travels, Mary Jane. Again, if you need anything, feel free to reach out." the white haired woman tells her.

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Mary Jane Watson would smile, "Oh, lovely. I didn't know you were wiht the Avengers. Take care and be safe." She gives a bow over to Clea, and then maneuvers back to look along the shelves to see what else she can find, even as an elderly man with glasses and a bulky looking, archaic looking analogue scanner that had two bulky antennae blipping over on it twisting would walk past.
