Date of Scene: 17 January 2023
Location: Blake House - Exterior
Synopsis: No description
Cast of Characters: Thomas Blake, Saeko

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake sits on the roof of his house looking over Happy Harbor, and Mount Justice. It is early evening and he wears a heavy jacket. One thing he has little tolerance for is cold, the years spent in Africa sort of reset his temperature tolerances. To further fortify him he has a mug of coffee. Several days of beard cover his lower face. His hair is growing a little long as well. He takes a long sip, draining the cup and then flings it with all his might. By his side is a notebook with barely legible notes. The lower half of the page is struck through.

Saeko has posed:
Was it heaven? Well...sort of. Purists would consider Saeko's little paradice a pocket dimension as she lounges in the villa that doesn't exist on any map, soaking in a spin in her full vixen glory while the mist of the mountainside swirls around her.

Even with more and more worshipers, more visitors to her shrine...she was quite happy to take a break.

Thomas Blake has posed:
Coffee gone, Thomas pulls out a flask and takes a short swig. Not the smartest move. Alcohol will dilate his capillaries and release more of his body heat. He had no idea how those St. Bernards got away with bringing liquor to freezing people.

Some things though you do for the soul. His soul was hurting for a while and... he found himself wondering how a certain kitsune was? "I hope you're well, Saeko, whatever or wherever you are. I miss you."

Saeko has posed:
"Don't you know?" A voice comes from behind Thomas, a little humor in those accented tones. "Kitsune can be almost anywhere."

Sure enough, to turn around he'd find Saeko there...sort of. The Tenko before him had only three tails, an aspect sent of the original who was still soaking in her little extra-plainar paradice for the time being.

"I have never been hard to find for those who actually decide to look."

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake raises an eyebrow and says, "Where's the rest of your tails? Are you in trouble? Do you need a character witness..." There was no question this was Saeko. He knew her too well. He gets up and offers her his flask, feeling a little awkward. Damn. What had happened to him? "And you told me stories of hunters looking for kitsune that did not end well for the kitsune... no I didn't go looking. I thought you were busy, and you'd come by if you had time, and I got heavily into a side project... I guess I was being productive. The project is kind of on hold though." He peers at the tails.

Saeko has posed:
"With the rest of me, currently enjoying an eternal hotspring," the Tenko answers, waving away the concern with her delicate hand and moving towards the railing.

"You realise those stories were about those who wished to harm kitsune, right? Seeking trophies of us?"

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake nods and goes to stand at the railing, leaning on it next to her. "They left an impression. Then again... I'm far from gentle to hunters these days." He put the flask on the railing in case she does want some. "How's that little sister I saved for you doing? Is she okay?"

"I'm sorry. I'm making up bullshit small talk... I feel like there's something wrong between us. I don't want that. I'm still glad you're here. I'm alone a lot these days." He brushes the fox woman's hand with his.

Saeko has posed:
"Alone?" Saeko repeats, a little raise of her eyebrows and a quirk of her lips. "What happened to your 'Pixie' and your life of going straight?"

A beat, she looks down at his hand with a little twitch of those furred ears. "You were given space to make that life you wished."

Thomas Blake has posed:
Thomas Blake ticks off fingers. "Pixie has a job, classes, her superhero stuff (whatever in gawd's name heroes do), and Mike Hannigan's latest project. But... we're very different people. I really... she believes in me. I tried to be a better person. This is about as far as I'll get. I'm not a saint by any means. As for honest... I don't steal from honest people. Crooks have more money and won't call the cops. It's... I don't know where I stand with her and... a guy has to eat!"
