Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp is here at the Burger joint near his place. It is later in the evening so the amount of kids are less than normal, and since it is close to home, he gets less stares when he stops in. He has ordered a couple burgers and some fries with a milkshake, sitting where he can watch the door.

Sally Pride has posed:
He doesn't have to wait too long. Though at first it's just the door opening enough for a feline head to peek in. When she spots the primate private eye waiting for her, and the place less crowded for the evening hours, the rest of Sally follows. "Greasy fried meat. You know how to get a predator's attention," she jokes. "Been a while."

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp looks over and says "Well it is pretty good for us omnivores too." He chuckles a bit "Grab yourself something and join me, ran into someone you might find interesting, but we should eat some before we talk.

Sally Pride has posed:
Sally Pride nods, and strolls over to the counter to do so. She briefly gets an odd look, but with the location being close to Fun Land the clerk either just assumes it's a costume, or is too tired and minimally paid to really care. Could be both. There was already the primate after all. After which she returns and plops herself into the opposite seat. "Yeah, sorry we couldn't get together sooner. There's been... a lot going on."

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp nods, and says "I understand, been having a few things going down on my side of the street too, hope all is ok." He munches on his fries a bit.

Sally Pride has posed:
"As much as I wish I could say yes," Sally relents with a shake of her head. "If you've seen any news reports about the 'dog monster' causing problems in New York." Drums her claw tipped fingers on the table for a bit. Until her food arrives. And with the previous predator remark it's probably no surprise it's the biggest burger on the menu.

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp looks over and says "Not heard anything about it of late, but I have been checking into a cat creature here in Gotham, and after meeting him, I believe it is someone you should met.

Sally Pride has posed:
Sally Pride shrugs as she picks up the burger that certainly lives up to the Big Belly name and takes a bite out of it. She's never sure of how much news drifts between the big cities so it's not a surprise he'd be more focused on local matters. Of which he mentions, getting her to pause a moment. "Oh?" Then tearing back into the burger.

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp nods, and eats a bit as well, and says "Seems there is this fellow by the name of Alderic. He is a cougar, started off life as a normal animal and seems some folks caught him caged him, and played mad scientist on him.

Sally Pride has posed:
Sally Pride stops mid open mouth for another bite. Mostly out of familiar scenerio. "... Any idea -who- did?" Then shakes her head again. "Right, probably not as imporant as probably need some kinda help with the matter since you called me."

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp says, "Still looking into trying to figure it out. He is semi feral still, does not speak English was surprised I understood him, but he does understand English. He had a bit of trouble in New York City, worried about putting a friend of his in danger if he goes back. Seems some folks are trying to keep an eye on him, though he was well groomed. No clothes, but did not smell like an alley cat or anything."

Sally Pride has posed:
"Ah." Sally resumes taking that bite, but this time chewing more thoughtfully through it. "Likely," she resumes afterward, "means whoever created him didn't try to 'train' him much. Or he escaped before they did. Hard to say, might have to get over that communication barrier for more answers first." Another bite. Chew. Despite it's size most of the burger is gone now. "You know where to find him still?"

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp says, "I know where he hangs out at least some. This old bath house, he found he likes it. I think he got loose before they finished their plans, but from what he said, him learning to understand english was not something they were expecting."

Sally Pride has posed:
That gets a bit of a snicker out of Sally. "They tend to underestimate such things. Especially if this was something more... homebrew than the facilities that created Sundance or myself."

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp nods his head a bit to this and says "I told him I know a few people in New York who might be able to help him. Maybe show him how to get around and cause it not being a problem for him.

Sally Pride has posed:
Sally Pride hehs. "I've learned it matters in part where you go, and don't draw unneeded attention to yourself. There's definitely weirder things roaming out there." She finishes off the end of her food. Picks up her drink glass, uncurling one finger from it to point at her companion. "Sounds like you could arrange a meeting though."

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp nods, and says "Yea, I was telling him about Mutant town as a possibility where he would get less looks as well. I am willing to go with ya, probably should take food when we do, but least now he knows I aint food.

Sally Pride has posed:
Sally Pride chugs down her drink. Sets the cup down and.. almost wipes her mouth with the back of her hand, before thinking better of it and grabbing a napkin to do so. "I can drive us easily enough... probably with the truck, so he has space. Might be a bit too antsy for the cramped back seat of a car. But yeah, Mutant Town would be a good place. Get use to being around others without worrying about... sticking out."

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp nods, and says "We will have to get him to wear clothes, not sure how big a pain that will be, figure you have a bit more experience with that type of thing than I do.

Sally Pride has posed:
Sally Pride shrugs a little. "Just a cloak or large overcoat would do to start with. Don't want him to feel too constrained." She flicks the napkins on the tray with the rest of her trash and slides it to the edge of the table as she scoots out. "Ray probably has one I can borrow. Give me a ring again when you want to meet up."

Detective Chimp has posed:
Detective Chimp nods, and offers her his hand and says "Will do, and if you need my help with this dog monster still feel free to give me a call, and will head over.
