Michael Hannigan has posed:
Sundays at Shaw Studios tends to be one of the quieter days. Not all the studios are booked and it does lead to a lot of free time and free space. But for others, Sunday is not a time to lay off of the work routine. Some special guests have taken advantage of the quarters offered by the beach retreat. And that does include several vocal coaches and other persons. The main social space of the renovated home provides plenty of social room. Off to the kitchen area there are a few stacks of pizza boxes, freshly delivered. Persons of varying levels of attire are present, some in suits while others wear the more casual jeans and tee.

Despite the contrast of appearances, there seems to be a very relaxed tone to all those collecting their slices onto plates and those moving to the den area to rest with their newly acquired food.

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord finds it an easy commute to Happy Harbor. Then again he is flying in on aero-disks. They make a fair bit of noise. With him are bots 01, 02, 09 and 10. They land outside the main entrance and Ted rings the bell. Bailey hogs the Ring camera until Bobo grabs her and moves her out of Ted's way. Ted removes his goggles and retracts his hood. Ted rubs his head and says, "Somebody ordered some bots here from Kord Co?"

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Ted is not left on the front porch for long. As the door opens, a short haired blond man wearing high end jeans and a blue tee stands on the other side, looking to the bots and then to Ted. He smiles, "Mr. Kord.Great timing. The pizza was just delivered and we're just plating up. Come join us."

Stepping back to open the door wide, the man waves him in. "I'm Wade Shaw, and I do believe the one you will wish to speak with will be here shortly."

Once he's certain everyone who wants in is IN, Wade closes the door behind them, following the group. If one were to look to the studio owner, they might catch him sneaking a few glances to the variety of bots that have come in.

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord steps in, getting nudged aside by Bailey. "Pizza is fine. We like pizza. Well, I like eating it. They like getting it for me. I'd like to get some business settled first. I saw the contracts. The payment is fine. I just want you to know what you're dealing with here and what they require. Nothing too unusual."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
As Ted insists upon getting to the business side of things first. Wade gives a nod. "To the point." Wade acknowledges, "Have to respect that." He waves over to the seating area where folks are gathered, "Feel free to get comfortable. I'll go see where Mr. Myers is."

The recording studio owner continues forward, moving into the kitchen to glance around. Looking over to the counter area near the fridge, he takes note of a suited man. "Prent. Mr. Kord is here to see you."

Suited man blinks, checks his watch and chuckles. "...Ah. Forgot to correct for timezone." The plate is set down on the counter next to his drink before the dark haired man steps out to the seating area. It's not long to take note of the de-masked Blue Beetle. "Ah, Mr. Kord. Glad you could make it. Did. Mr. Shaw let you know you're welcome to join us for pizza?"

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord nods. "That's fine. This won't take a minute. I brought my top line bots. They're being leased to you for this job as agreed. You might want to have a supervisor. It's included in the fee -Doug Kimble he's a good..." He pauses as Bobo taps his arms, a little hard. He looks at the bot. "You guys are still mad over that? Well, Melissa? Good. Melissa Peters will supervise them. They can perform at optimum levels for eight hours at a time. they need the weekends off for maintenance unless you make other arrangements 24 hours in advance. They also have a trailer for their charging stations and Lego activities."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Mr. Myers looks back to the bots as Ted starts to talk about them. The mention of a supervisor being needed gets a nod of agreement. "Yes it would be good to have someone more familiar present with them. We do have some shoots that are occurring on weekends but we generally have off days in the middle of the week with those times. We can arrange to get a schedule of each week off to you in the requested amount of time." Bailey's decor gets a slight smile before Myers is looking back to Ted. "How much of a break is needed between eight hour sessions? About the length of a standard lunch break?"

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord says "At this time they need a recharge but they also need to log events and defrag their memories. They need two hours. But you don't need more than two at a time on duty. Bobo can handle most stuff by himself and the ones defragging and such can be brought into service very quickly in an emergency. We can do weekend work. They don't need overtime. The defragging is a necessary part of their development." He gestures to Bailey who floats over and plops onto his lap, looking somewhat like Blofeld's cat.

"Let me just be clear on this... you could not afford to pay me for these bots. To me they are my children, fully aware and good people. I want them to take this job to learn. They learn. I don't program them. I will see that they are at least moderately happy in this enterprise. You will find they are good workers and selfless. They got between me and two of the most powerful Justice League members when they thought I was threatened. I didn't program that exactly. Bailey... is a Dazzler fan and into bot fashion, They're individuals. Not mere tools."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
Myers nods. "That was going to be my follow up question." He admits, "Splitting them up into teams. For the ship scenes I'm not sure if we can accommodate for the trailer being in walking distance since we'll be out in the water. But we can set the trailer up in the parking lot the shuttle boat goes to." He pauses, once more glancing to Bailey, "In an ideal setting we won't need them to do anything but be present. Their only task would be to help us ensure the safety of those working on the sets I'm in charge of. There was an incident on the Sea Wolf set that, while it did get handled, I think could have been handled even more effectively if we had access to your-"

Mr. Myers pauses, taking a moment to adjust his words "Your family's assistance."

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord smiles faintly at Bailey and looks at the rest. "I'm afraid I put myself out of a job. Where you park the trailer is not an issue. Bailey can hit 200 kilometers an hour. The others are nearly that fast unencumbered. They're not bothered by water. They can even operate submerged for five minutes or so. Flames like you mentioned... well they're more durable than a human firefighter. They can move in and out of a fire fast enough. You may have one problem. If they see a human in jeopardy, they will intervene. Now I made them watch Prisoner of Zenda and explained about cinematic fighting. But they may get a little antsy if you don't follow OSHA regs. Their den mother is a real stickler for those." Small eyeroll.

Michael Hannigan has posed:
The possible issue stated gets a hrmm from Myers. "...We will do everything in our power to ensure our set is as safe as possible. Perhaps we can allow for them to walk along when inspections are being done on the set and props so they can see for themselves." He pauses, "The fencing scenes are done on dry land and by a different studio so at the very least they won't be seeing that. But there will be a knife fight scene. Prop knife, of course."

Ted Kord has posed:
Ted Kord nods. "Probably best to take Bingo for that, and directly supervise them. That should be fine. Bingo is scared of fights." Bingo interrupts to bring Ted a plate with his favorite -two slices. He thanks them and says, "Bring Mr. Myers some pizza. What do you like Mr. Meyers? Just ask them nicely. They'll do it."

Michael Hannigan has posed:
"I actually left my plate and drink on the counter next to the fridge. If they'd like to fetch me that, I'd be appreciative." Mr. Myers states, watching as one of the bots scoots off, "It is funny you should mention Dazzler. One of the leading men for the film has been known to work with her on a few projects. He should be coming out of rehearsal soon so you might just meet him in a few." He gestures to the seating area, "But first, let us eat and get to know those already here..."
