Synopsis: Flowers Sold
Cast of Characters: Dinah Lance, Mark Grayson, Caleb Dykstra

Dinah Lance has posed:
Dinah Lance is actually not in costume today, just a simple t-shirt and jeans as she prepares a floral arrangement for a client. It is rather relaxing, what Ollie would call 'Zen'. The arranging of flowers, wreaths, and other little plants in decorative patterns. It is a way to unwind after the violence that sometimes overwhelms her life. She puts the final touches on it and then nods her head before walking it over to the 'pick up' shelf and sits it down so it can be easily found and then prepares the ticket for the item. "Paid in advance.." She says as she stamps it and then put it in file.

Mark Grayson has posed:
Mark Grayson isn't much of a shopper, but occasionally?

He likes to look at flowers.

And /before you judge/, it's because it's a nice break from punching aliens, getting punched harder by aliens, and dealing with the double life of being a hero. Flowers are a subtle way that he can remind himself what he fights for, what he is prepared to die for. Since getting involved with the Titans, he's been a bit overwhelmed lately. So, the door to the Sherwood Florist opens and a bell announces him. "Hi." He greets.

Instead of the yellow, blue, and black suit he wears as the hero Invincible, he's just wearing a blue sweater with jeans and tennis shoes. His hair is slightly slicked back and styled...as much as someone can, anyway.

He doesn't have the best hair in the world, but he's already looking around the shop, a smile on his face.

Dinah Lance has posed:
"Welcome to Sherwood Florist I'll be with you in a minute." Chimes the sultry voice of Dinah as she files the last of the paperwork and then walks over to the counter and takes a measure of the young man who looks rather out of place in a flower shop. "You looking for something specific?" She asks with a small smile.

Mark Grayson has posed:
The sultry voice of Dinah Lance reaches Mark's ears and with a big smile on his face, he turns to face her.

"Hi!" Mark turns and gives her a bit of a wave, before he approaches the counter. He stands tall and proud, chest up. Totally not because Dinah's pretty.

Totally.

"Not really? I'm just kinda browsing. Do you have anything that would look really good if you're looking for like...a calm, zen-type feel?"

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
Not long after Mark enters the flower shop, Caleb does as well. Not knowing anybody, he explores the shop for the flowers, their pots, the fertilizer, the tools.

Several reasons have brought him here - one of them being his mob boss wanting to place an order for bouquets...

Totally not because someone died, no.

Totally not.

As he explores the shop, he keeps to himself, nodding politely at the shopkeeper, should she look his way.

Dinah Lance has posed:
The beautiful florist watches the man for a moment and then nods her head. "I see. So no one special you want to get some flowers for?" She then chuckles a little bit. "Zen, yeah that is what my boyfriend said when I am working on the flowers. I look very zen."

She then looks over at Caleb and then asks, "Welcome to Sherwood Florist. Is there something that I could help you with?"

Mark Grayson has posed:
"No, no, I don't got anybody like that. Not exactly a ladies man, you know."

Dinah mentions her boyfriend saying that zen is what happens when you work on the flowers. "Yeah, that sounds about right. Nah, I'm just like...really stressed all the time and I think some flowers can help out." He chuckles. "You do look pretty zen though."

He turns his head to Caleb. "Oh yeah, if you need help with something man, don't let me stop you."

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
"Why yes, please", Caleb approaches, "I'd like to place an order for, uhh...", he pulls a note from his pocket, "Yeah, here it is... half-a-dozen flower bouquets." It would seem like a case for a deadpan here, but Caleb sounds serious. "And I don't think I was ever that much zen."

He looks at Mark, give him a nod and a smile. "Thanks, man." He adds. "I recommend taking some breathing exercises. Helps with the stomach knot, you know?"

Dinah Lance has posed:
Dinah's baby blue eyes kind of fix on Mark for a moment before she goes over to a small little section of what seem to be bonsai trees and she takes a look at Mark then back at the trees and picks one. She carries the small little potted tree back to the young man and sits it down on the counter. "Well if you are looking for something that might prevent stress, I can recommend this. I'm told that the tending to and care of one of these can be very therapeutic."

As for Caleb she turns to him and then actually takes a good look at him, as if trying to go over the wanted list or groups of thugs he might represent before she takes our a small slip of paper and begins to write down the order in rather neat cursive writing, something they no longer teach in school. "What type of flowers do you have in mind? I can tell you how long it'll take for us to prepare them."

Mark Grayson has posed:
"Anytime." Mark tells Caleb though he tilts his head. "Meditation. Cool man. I think I'm more just stressed, not dealing with a lot of anxiety." Synonyms, probably, Mark. But all the same. He does seem to whistle at the bulk of the order though. That's a lot of flowers! "For a wedding?" He asks Caleb curiously, before he lifts his hand. "You don't have to answer that."

To Dinah, he sees The bonsai tree that she passes his way and he looks at it. "Cool." He smirks at her for a moment, and they meet baby blue eyes to baby blue eyes. "Thanks." He tells her then. "Uh, how much I owe you?"

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
"Hrm, what've you got that takes on a classic, tastefully refined look?", he asks. "Something... From Italy, say?"

Caleb's inspection doesn't really make him stand out in any given way. He's not dressed in any flashy style, like an italian gangster would; nor does he have an italian-american accent. He's dressed in rather plain clothes, more geared towards practical than stylish. If anything, there's more of an effort to not standing out.

In a crowd, he'd be just another face.

He shows a little sad smile to Mark as he questions the bouquets, then shakes his head. "I don't, and I won't. Private matter. Not up to me, really." Thoughts come in of how one of those bouquets could be for him; Jimmy got lax with his 'quota', and was asked to go get a few bouquets himself. Surprisingly, one of those was for Jimmy, who wasn't around to tell the tale since he got it - so his buddies did a swell job of spreading the news.

To drift off from those thoughts, his eyes rest upon the tree, "Ah, a bonsai. Cool trees, those", he comments, "But that's all I know about them, really." He shrugs, "Incense could be an anti-stress too, I suppose. Maybe orange and cinnamon?"

Dinah Lance has posed:
Dinah looks over at the bonsai arrangements and then notes the prices. "Thirty dollars..." She says as she raises a finger up. "Let me write up your ticket, Ollie likes to make sure we have paper back up.." She would of loved to have done this by computer but with all those tech specialist running around Gotham who knows how to not only make a computer spill its digital guts but dance and sing for them.

She pauses at the vagueness of the the order. "Something from Italy." She doubt that Caleb would know a Italian flower from a plate of spaghetti as she looks over at her selection of flowers. "Ok.." She is not above ripping a person off and so she decide to adopt the most expensives of flowers and then writes down the flower. "Any names or dedications you want on the flowers?" She lets those baby blue eyes look over at Caleb.

Mark Grayson has posed:
"You have very specific tastes."

Mark replies to Caleb, but he lifts his hands in a 'alright man, you do you' kind of way when Caleb absolutely denies being able to answer Mark's question about the nature of his purchase. "Far be it from me to tell you what's what. All you, man." and he's more than happy to let the matter pass. About the bonsai tree, Mark smiles at him. "Thanks. I don't really know anything about bonsai trees except that you trim 'em every now and again." He chuckles. "Oh, I don't really do incense. I do eat a ton of orange slices. And orange juice."

He turns his attention to Dinah. "Thirty bucks? Alright." He digs for his wallet and he waits for the receipt to print as he sets the cash on her counter.

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
The plain-looking teen looks at Mark, "Hey, if it were up to me, I'd pick a couple daisies at the park, and there you go, you're settled. Have a nice life or a happy afterlife." He shrugs, "Or both."

"But, when you want nothing but the best, the little people oblige, you know?" Cryptic? Maybe.

To Dinah, he shakes his head, "No, leave them blank." He pulls out a card. "When they're ready, you can reach me at this number." The card has a name to go with the number: Bill Roughy.

Dinah Lance has posed:
Dinah decides for the most expensive of the Italian flowers, the Gardiania and then finishes the write up on the ticket. The flower at right now selling for 20 dollar U.S. per flower. And you are asking for a bouquet, -SEVERAL-. That is twelve flowers per bouquet and after she does the math on her little hand calculator she finishes the ticket and then hands it over to Caleb. That is alot of money for flowers mind you she hands over the bill and lets Caleb decide how she is about to pay.

As for Mark she goes over and takes the money and then taps the register, her hand moving over the numbers very quickly before she puts it in and then hands Mark the ticket. "Thank you. And good luck kid, I know how often stress can get to you." Boy does she know.

Caleb Dykstra has posed:
Caleb Dykstra pulls out a wad of cash, and leaves it on the counter for Dinah to pick up, "It should all be there, and more. Keep the change." With this much money, either this kid has very deep pockets, or someone has - someone powerful.

And he starts to move towards the exit. "See you then." To Mark, "Nice to meet you, man. Enjoy your bonsai!"

And with that, he leaves.

Mark Grayson has posed:
"Fair enough man."

Mark gives a wave to Caleb as he takes off. "You too man, take care." he chuckles. He did tilt his head when he told Dinah to leave it blank. Weird. He doesn't comment about it, but he has a bonsai tree now!

"Thanks, I really appreciate it. I'm thinking this should help, better than reading comics anyway." He teases her. "But I'll go ahead and get out of your hair now I think."

He starts to leave. "Take care!"
