Watching the Super-Sun Rise

Location:	Roof: Themysciran Embassy
Synopsis:	Kara and M watch the sun rise over the Themysciran Embassy, and plan to move in together.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
It's curretnly around six or so am in the morning. There's a period before the sunrise where the city is dark and the lights flicker as the moon readies to retreat and the sun to come up, along the skyscrapers of the city. Supergirl and Monet have arrnaged some time to spend together and watch it go up. Currently sitting on the roof of the Themysciran embassy

Kara Danvers has posed:
    The blonde Kryptonian sits there, in her costume, her legs stretched out straight in front of her, flat along the roof. "It's nice to have a little chance to breathe. Everything's been so busy lately." She lets out a faint sigh. "I really should try to cut back some, but I hate disappointing anyone."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would nod gently, "It's fine. You have a great deal of responsibilities. And I always appreciate the time we have together and it is worth waiting for." She would take her hand into Kara's and gently squeeze it, watching the city lights start to fade. "They will always be busy."

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara smiles, and gives Monet's hand a gentle squeeze. "I know. It just feels like we don't see each other enough. What have you been up to lately? I feel so out of the loop." She watches the grey pre-dawn over the city, before turning her head to give Monet her full attention.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would nod gently, "Things have been busy on both of our ends. There has been nothing particularly catastrophic on our end." I mean, time traveling killer robots was fairly the norm, right?

Kara Danvers has posed:
"They have. Which is why I'm wondering if we shouldn't try to optimize our time together." The blonde takes a deep breath, a little nervously. "What do you think about getting a place together? I mean, I don't have any particular attachment to my apartment..." she finishes a little awkwardly.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would blush softly, "I would.. Enjoy that very much." She would wrap her hand gently around Kara's fingers, gently twisting them together. "I would enjoy that a great deal."

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara smiles a little, squeezing. "You don't mind? I mean, you've always seemed a little close-lipped about your current arrangement, and I don't want to cut you off from your friends or anything..." She cuts herself off as she feels herself starting to ramble just a bit in her nervousness.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would smile, "You wouldn't. It would.. Also be nice to have a reason to go elsewehre regularly." M, a shut in? Since when? She would smile, "I can be flexible with them. I would.. Very much enjoy it." Going to cuddle up with Kara.

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara smiles, and lets go Monet's hand, but only to put an arm around her shoulder and pull her closer. The two invulnerable girls who are both so easy to hurt when it comes to emotions and feelings. "I assume you'd like to stay in New York? I think it's a little easier for me to commute than you." Kara being the faster flier of the two.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would smile, "That is simple enough. That lets me be available to my other needs as necessary." She would sigh and gently rest her head over against Kara's. "Thank you again. I would have never had the courage to think of this."

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara smiles, and then looks a little awkward again. "That said...with real estate being so expensive in New York...I might have to rely on you for the heavy lifting here?" One superpower where there is no contest: Monet blows Kara out of the water. Money.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would grin, "I can handle that. It is well within the capabilities of my allowance. Is there anywhere in particular you might wish to be in the city? Or things I should include to make maintaining your own identity easier?"

Kara Danvers has posed:
"Well, something that has either a skylight or an upper story window would be helpful to us both, if we need to enter or exit in ways most people aren't thinking about." Flyers. "I like a lot of natural light, but I know that can be hard to comer by in New York."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would smile, "I'll see what I can come up with. A penthouse should be simple to acquire." Between money, telepathy, blackmail, and all those other sorts of things ot help grease the wheels of commerce. "It won't be in the highest end of town but we can get a decent apartment."

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara just boggles a little at that. "Simple to acquire. Sometimes you people with bottomless bankbooks just blow my mind. It's like talking to Batman or Green Arrow." she says.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would laugh, "I hardly have a bottomless account. But my family provides me with a substantial stipend and I've had some time to save up funds for something personal. It will require some shopping around but should be simple to acquire."

Kara Danvers has posed:
"Well, if there's anything I can do to help, just let me know. I'm afraid I don't have a lot of experience with this stuff...Kal helped me get my apartment in Metropolis, and aside from living with my parents, or the time I was training on Themyscira, it's the only place I've ever lived."

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would nod at Kara gently, "We'll get our own place. It might take some time. I want it ot be -our- place. SOmewhere that's special to both of us and has meaning. We're going to be staying together for some time, so we should make it together." She's committing to the long term.

Kara Danvers has posed:
Kara smiles. "I'd like that." She looks over, as the sun starts to come up. "It feels right." She'd already committed to it when she proposed this, but having it go over well is certainly something that's helping her nerves. The sun bath of dawn isn't hurting either. Kryptonians and sun. It's like cats.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would lean in and look over the horizon and smile. "Thank you. And yes, it does." HSe would move over to rest her head over against Kara's cheek as the sun would rise up and she would watch it.
