What will come the next time the two meet?

Cast of Characters: Bunny Macleod, Emma Frost

Bunny Macleod has posed:
TRIBECA -- trendy as heck, expensive as all get out, gearing up for some opening or another, some event or another, and it's really a fair bit above Bunny Macleod's current paygrade and spare cash, since the whole 'nine people living in a two-bedroom fifth story walk-up' kinda precludes you from having a lot of spare funding.

Sporting a couple bruises from Roller Derby, the short delivery girl was wearing a brown MACLEOD MESSENGER SERVICE T-shirt beneath an open sweatshirt that was several sizes too large for her in red and white, and a 1970's-style trucker cap from which underneath a pair of BRIGHT PINK pigtails are poking out. She wears a pair of aviator shades that are also too large for her face, and a bright rainbow-colored tutu skirt, leggings with happy little sunshines on them, and the brightest, sparkliest pink rollerskates known to man.

She pops out of an alleyway, circling around a fruit stand as she gives a wave to the proprieter, and weaves in and out along the crowds.

Her target? A drop-off of important papers for one Emma Frost -- that couldn't be THE Emma Frost, right?

Emma Frost has posed:
It's rather easy for Emma Frost to happen to notice the very brightly clad girl that's zooming along towards her. Emma's awaiting a package, and it's one of those things that has to be sent by courier for speed. And Emma's come to not trust drones to deliver at all. There are too many things which can disrupt or destroy them. Couriers are generally quicker, safer, and they come insured so any sort of collateral damage won't be on her pocketbook to cover.

Emma Frost is waiting, finishing up a few things over on her Starkphone as she takes in the approach of Bunny. The girl seems intent over on her and she's too blatant to be some sort of pickpocket. And it's around the time anyways.. So Emma goes to raise out a hand over in acknowledgement, waiting for the girl to approach and also checking the area just in case there's some sort of monster chasing her and trying to eat her because life experiences.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
Life throwing monsters at people is part of the hazard of heroing. Bunny knows. She's had a monster encounter (symbiotes are SCARY).

The brightly colored courier gives a nervous smile -- it was /that/ Emma Frost. THE Emma Frost. The Emma Frost that has encountered her twice already and surely knows that she's hiding her mutant powers in order to peacefully coexist with antimutant family members and can already sense the shame radiating off the teenager in waves!

-- or has no idea who the heck she is because there's like, a million couriers in the city and pink hair isn't all THAT uncommon, especially when it's not natural.

"Afternoon Miss Frost." Bunny states, tilting her hat up with one hand as she takes her tablet out. "Great weather we're having for early March isn't it?"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would glance over at Bunny and gesture over at her, "Good to see you, Ms. MacLeod. You haven't had any trouble with anyone trying to take your head under the presumption that you're an immortal, have you?" Emma occasionally does have a dry sense of humor, even if there's nothing more in common than a somewhat common last name for a show over before she was born.
Emma's kept at least a passive track of the girl given her history. And is aware that she keeps her powers hidden and at least very minimally her situation. Fortunately Bunny stands out very much. Just like Noriko!
She would go to take her hand out to take the tablet and sign for it. "Yes, until it isn't. The weather acn be quite strange." But that's moreso just the season in general and the occasional interdimensioal invasion that happens to muck things up for a few days.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
    OHGODSHEKNOWS.

Inwardly Bunny is both aflutter and a-panic. Aflutter because yes beautiful powerful rich lady remembered who she was and that was HELLA COOL. And a-panic because the same reasons! Gabby would be so disappointed in her just showing her thoughts through her face let alone through her... well... thoughts though, and she's trying to think of something that people won't want to see.

The inside of Tommy Shepherd's sock drawer! That would work.

Bunny gives a visible startle at at being recognized so easily, and her ears and cheeks turn bright red.

"Not since the first one, ma'am." she replies. It was her standard reply. She checks the signature, saves it, and then she produces the package. A thin, cardboard box, about the size of a dinner plate, but square. It had been cushioned in a hard foam envelope inside Bunny's messenger bag.

"I would think the weather's not too bad as long as there's an overhang to wait it out under. I mean, you know what they say -- no rainbows without rain!"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would go to take it over then, inspect the box quickly to confirm, and then move to reach out to her purse to take out a tip. It's a fifty dollar bill. The girl was here on time, delivered it promptly, and Emma has a soft spot for mutants, particularly those that are in troubles and have to hide themselves.
IT also probably doesn't go as far in New YOrk as one would hope. But the intent is still there!
Emma doesn't try and read Bunny's mind. Teenagers are often not worth the trouble that comes iwth it. "Don't worry, you're rather easy to identify, Ms. Macleod." Emma would quip. "I believe that it's likely much to do with the hair. Thank you very much." Emma would continue to be extremely amused by the exchange.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"Oh- right, the hair!" Bunny gives a bit of a laugh, embarrassed. Definitely not because she hangs around with Magneto's grandson and the daughter of an X-Men member, nope. NOt that she knows about the X-Men. She didn't even want to know about Xavier's.

The bouncy short teen accepts the tip, her shoulders rising up. Hey, that's like a whole day of groceries for her family! ... or her boyfriend.

"Thank you, Ms. Frost!" she gives a smile, skating backwards a moment.

There's a screeching of tires. The sudden wail of a siren. Trouble incoming?!

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would shake her head over and glance at things, "I think that you better get out of the way." As should she. She's not about to get caught up in something so banal as a supervillain, or worse, a general -robbery-. But with sirens there there's likely little time over to run or get out of the way. And Emma has at least tried to keep her own status as a mutant relatively concealed. Moreso out of having a trump card for business than anything else.
Emma goes to try to move further back on the sidewalk - there's too much going on for her to try to use her telepathy right now

Bunny Macleod has posed:
Bunny doesn't seem to listen to Emma, her blue eyes cast at the incoming car speeding by, pursued by a lone police cruiser. Emma might be too high class to get involved with that, but Bunny? That's right up her alley. In a manner of speaking, anyway, because she's moving.

People are recording on their phones, and she sheds her hat, throwing it into a handy bush as people move to get out of the way of the oncoming vehicle chase, knocking each other over in panic.

Someone's mobile chair's been knocked over, and they're stuck, unmoving -- and what's the little courier going to do as she skids to a stop, all bright colors and pink hair, holding her hands up and bracing?

Well, there's a brief shimmer of the sunlight on her skin, a gasoline-rainbow of colors before the car crashes against her with the crunch of metal and plastics, the shattering of glass and the sudden smoke of an engine coming to stop and an airbag's deploy!

Emma Frost has posed:
There's too much going on here for Emma to quite keep up with! Bunny is gone before Emma can turn around to realize what's going on. And she moves to simle ever so slightly. Musing. Clever Girl. Then she goes to flash over her mind and tries to scan ahead to get an idea of waht's happening with the men over in the vehicle with her mind.
Presuming the individuals aren't fully incapacitated by the interception Emma would go to try and quickly mentally nudge them towards more disorientation. While at th esame time guiding the crowd out of the way and to a more restrained retreat from the area to prevent any sort of stampede or trample. TO the NEw Yorkers she gives a sense of 'this happens every day' and a more controlled withdraw from the area to somewhere safe.
And then going to make sure that Bunny has things handled.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
The man had just robbed a bank. It wasn't because he needed the money, he didn't want to work and figured the banks got robbed every day, what was the odds that an officer was going to be in the bank making a deposit?

He'll be fine. He's dazed from hitting the shield, he hadn't seen the person dumped from the chair, but had yelled at the skater girl to get out of the god-damn way before he hit.

And this sort of thing? It does happen every day. New York's weird, isn't it? People clear the way for the police to come and check on the driver, the second officer coming to help the stranded wheelchair user.

The skater girl's slipepd through the cloud, retrieving her hat as she stuffs her pink hair up into it, breathing hard. Handled? Eh.

She's been in worse situations, but this was public, out in daylight. While she was on the clock.

Gabby was going to kill her.

Emma Frost has posed:
And Emma gets some level of distress and agitation from Bunny. If only teh girl's body language as she darts along to quickly grab her things. They're in an area where despite there being a great many phones out and people everything is shaky. So Emma goes to push some fuzziness on everyone. On the police, on the people filming for a few seconds at a time, on the robber.
Everyone will just -remember- a flash of pink and some things erupting around the car, but no one will really recall the exact specifics, of what she looked like or who it was. Everyont posting clips and filming will have to make just a few edits - cameras held the wrong way, pictures out of alignment, uploading only the bits that weren't the clearest..
So it will be rather hard to tell anything. It means that she likely won't get credit.. But less official things to risk Gabby going full 'I'm Disappointed In You' expression.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
And down the alleyway Bunny goes, unaware of the boon that Emma's giving her, fuzzing people's memories. Bunny herself hops up on a dash bin, and jumps again, swinging herself up onto a fire escape, and she takes some deep breaths to steady herself. THe crowd is already beginning to disperse, people checking over their phones, some high fiving, some saying 'oh my god can you believe it?!'

No, Bunny won't get credit, but her identity? That's safe. NOt that she knows yet.

Emma Frost has posed:
Bunny's safe. Emma goes to walk over towards her, playing up her own eyes being wide, "I'm glad that you're okay. Did you get into cover? THere was some sort of.. Blur and a streak that came out to stop the thing. THey just ran out and smashed into the car and bolted off." Emma's own abilities are hopefully concealed as well.
"You got into the alleyway in time and weren't at risk?"

Bunny Macleod has posed:
Bunny looks down from the fire escape she had perched on, down to Emma walking into the alleyway, and she heaves out an uneasy breath.

"N-no." she answers, unsteadily, and she breathes out, bringing her hands up.

"It's OK. You don't have to try. I know. People saw. And I'm... I'm not sorry. No one else was going to do anything. No one else was moving to help him. And I couldn't just --" she pauses, and she gives a soft snort. "One fight with Ant Man and suddenly I've got heroism. Ah man, my girlfriend's gonna be pissed."

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would just deadpan over at Bunny, "I saw nothing whatsoever of things. It was all too fast to keep track of anything and I'm just glad that you're okay and are safe. And that the situation was handled by whatever it was and that no one was hurt beyond the one that caused the incident in the first place. There was too much going on and it was too fast for me to get any sort of idea beyond some sort of colored blur and then nothing while I was ducking in an alleyway."
Emma lays it on thick but playfully.

Bunny Macleod has posed:
Bernice Marie Macleod is no dummy. OK she's a dummy sometimes, but this time it wasn't so much dumb as it was... wanting to believe it.

"Well then she's only gonna be moderately angry that I got so close to danger." she states with a serious expression back down to Emma, and she draws her hands around her knees a moment.

"... they're gonna be okay though? The person in the car?"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would shake ehr head, "I don't know really. I presume that they'll be taken in by the authorities and if they're injured they'll be taken to the hospital. Looking out it looks like the airbag deployed. They could have whiplash or a concussion but nothing particularly serious I would imagine."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
Bunny gives a nod, and then breathes out, and then she gives a little bit of a wave.

"Sorry that your afternoon's been made more dramatic, Miz Frost. Maybe you should get somewhere where there's gonna be better cover? Pink looks good on me, but Sunburn is no joke!" she offers offhand advice as she shifts her weight, taking a breath and letting out slowly, burying her panic.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would smile, "Oh, of course. And do breathe in and out. It's rather overloaidng when you take in everything. If you have the time, just sit down and do some breathing exercises. JUst five or ten minutes if you don't need to get to your next delivery. They help quite a bit."

Bunny Macleod has posed:
"My next -- oh shoot, oh shoot --" Bunny hops up, and then swings herself off the fire escape and goes to take off out of the alleyway. "Forget the girlfriend my dad will kill me! Aaaaaaaaaaa--" she goes to take off as fast as her skates can carry her, exploding out of the alleyway.

Because obviously, the only thing scarrier than the girlfriend is her own father!

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would just shake her head as Bunny would dart away, "Best of luck, young lady." And then about seven minutes behind her planned schedule, Emma Frost is heading out to her next meeting. Oh well, she was saying that she needed to work out a bit more.
