Date of Scene: 14 March 2023
Location: Recreation Room
Synopsis: Catseye shows Emma how to properly nap.
Cast of Characters: Emma Frost, Sharon Smith

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost is currently settled in over in the recreation room. Asleep sometime late in the evening, having been reading and dozed off. To the side gently on her lap is the book, having fallen over. A saucer of tea next to her, likely having gone cold by now. Gently breathing and snoring.

Sharon Smith has posed:
Cold pale hands came over Emma's ears. It was followed by a muffled voice, obviously muffled by the cupping palms. The muffled voice repeated itself before Sharon's face came into view. "I said guess who!" the purple haired girl complained, aleviating the pressure on her palms enough for her voice to come through. It wasn't until she'd made eye-contact with Emma that she realized the folly "Wait!" she exclaimed, covering her Emma's eyes instead. "Now guess who..." she started but huffed. "I did it wrong." she grumbled, sitting beside her in mock defeat.

Emma Frost has posed:
There's a startlement over from Emma Frost as she's woken up over as the girl would stand atop her over and then let out a sigh, "Yes, I believe you gave it away, Catseye." Slowly rousing herself back to focus. "I wouldn't have gotten it if not for you."

Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith made a home in Emma's lap. Surprisingly the short woman did a great job at taking up as much space as possible, almost uncomfortably so. Perhaps she had a second mutant power of being bigger and heavier than she appeared. "Why do you sleep here? Do you not have a bed of your own?" she asked curiously. She wiggled her hips, as though checking how comfortable her new spot was.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would let out a sigh over at Sharon, "I fell asleep here. It's not where I intended to. I suppose that I was quite a bit more tired than I thought I was." And of course she presumes that Sharon's not going to let her escape over to a real bed now is she?

Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith shimmied more, so she sat sideways on Emma's lap. It was enough to bump the woman's book to the floor, and to take up more space in her lap. "You are trying to copy me" she accused with playfully narrowed eyes.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would take a moment to groan, "Yes, Sharon. Only to try and find a way to match your perfection. I do however fear that I've confirmed you're on an entirely different level than my inferior self." Not quite suppressing a giggle.

Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith gave a soft "Hmmn" for a dramatic overtone as she speculated how to aid Emma in her journey. "You need less clothes, more fur, and find a very high place... above everyone else." She waved her hand vaguely toward the tallest furniture in the room. "I believe in you." she whispered with encouragement, cupping Emma's cheek for dramatic effect.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would shake ehr head, "Oh, as much as I might not care on part of that, I do have to have at least some acceptable level of attire around the students." She would say tongue in cheek. "But thank you for your faith in me."

Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith rolled her eyes, as though she'd been told this too many times. She looked down at her own attire, which mostly consisted of... anything and everything that fit. She generally wore too many layers, none of which seemed coordinated or even seemed to be her size. It was as though she dove head first the laundry room and surfaced with anything that mildly fit. "I double-cat dare you." she challenged. She could have claimed a 'double-dog dare,' but omitted the species norm for seemingly obvious reasons.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would mm over at Sharon, "Well, generally a dare has some sort of wager involved in it. And if you're going to double cat dare me, you're going to need another cat. I only see one in the room wtih me now. So it can only be a single cat dare."

Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith pondered briefly. The odd feline mutant had a mind like a trap, enough to pick up on odd colloquialisms and make them her own, but her logic had a tendency of being oddly slanted. Catseye pulled off a sock in offer, which only begged the question why there was *another* sock underneath the given sock! Perhaps the lack of fur made her desperately fear the cold. She waved the (most likely stolen) garment in a silly, silent offer, as though it met all the criteria of a proper wager.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would glance down over at the sock for a moment as it was offered. And then shrug for a moment over as she would go to take i tup in her hand. Not quite sure where this was going, but she had laid down a challenge, Catseye had responded, and now she had to accept it. "Very well, double cat dared it is."

Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith 's eyebrow lifted in legitimate surprise and suspicion. She hadn't expected her ridiculous dare to grow any legs, but Emma's acceptance was enough to finally get the pesky girl off of her lap. She sat up on the arm-rest on her chair as she looked around. "The bookshelf?" she speculated places Emma could nap. Catseye didn't seem to consider the difficulty of scaling such an appliance, or the ammount of space it took for a normal sized human to fit. "Students will not look for you there." she claimed. A small cat might easily get away with that sort of stunt, but a naked human desperately clinging for their life atop of such a high bookshelf would get more than a few confused stares.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would nod, "Oh, yes. But that would be rude. What if someone wants to go up there and take a book? I would hardly not want to get in thier way. Coffee is one thing. But sotpping someone from reading when they're goin gall the way up there seems so unfair."

Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith sighed at Emma's elaborate consideration for others. Her head tilted heavily to the side as she lazily offered the first, largest slab of furniture that caught her eye. "The table?" she half groaned. "Or the drink shelf." she offered more helpfully as she gazed off at the bar. The shelves behind the bar could certainly hold a few dozen full bottles, but the weight of an average human would be a frightening test of their build quality.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would mm over, "I don't quite think I can be as tight as youc an dear. I'm such a hrorid mess. I'd have to train my way up to that. One has to earn the right to be as good a sleeper as you are. I can't just start my way up there. We have to start with something simpler."

Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith looked between the bar and the table, as though considering them both equally. Her shoulders slumped further as she regretfully decided "The sofa?" It obviously wasn't much higher than the chair they were on, but Catseye was lazily giving up.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would muse, "Ane xcellent suggestion. Do you think that you could show me first? I need to learn from the best after all."

Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith stared longly at Emma, as though trying to decide whether the request were a ruse or not. She made a silent, annoying point of crawling back into her lap, leaving a confusing pile of clothes draped over her as a black cat darted across the room to perch on the highest point of the nearby sofa. Catseye did the obligotry 'spin,' plucking claws at the cusioned fabric before she settled in a comfortable ball on her claimed spot. She stared dilligently at Emma with bright yellow eyes.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would mm over at Sharon for a few moments while glancing over at her. "See? IT's all the more clearer now." Yes, Emma's taking her moment to be playful. Then she goes to lean over on the nearby coffee table and goes atop it. Sprawling out in not quite mirror to Sharon's pose. Emma being a bit bigger than the small girl - at least until the mish-mash of Sharon's attire made them even

Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith shifted back into a huminoid figure with strikingly black fur. The weight of her brought her back down into the cusions as she sat up to speculate Emma's pose. "Try again, but with more fur. You look like lazy student." she critiqued impossibly.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would shake her head, "I'm sorry darling, I don't have that sort of fur. Such a waste. YOu're so much better that way. Alas, such things are imposible to one so limited as myself and most of us."

Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith tilted her head. Her expression was impossible to make out due to the alien, feline features still on her humanoid-esque face. "Keep trying" she insisted, as though sprouting fur were little more than a little bit of effort. It was hard to tell if Catseye was just joking, or seriously underestimating Emma's ability due to her blank expression.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would consider, "I shall. I fear, however, that it will be outside of the timeframe of the double cat dare to be achieved. Therefore, I'ma fraid that I'll have to forfeit, despite your personal instruction and advise in the matter."

Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith lifted from her seat to pluck up articles of discarded clothing from the chair and floor. "Sad. Always trapped. Always in these. Never free." She both sympathized and critiqued as she sat properly on the chair. "I will pretend to be you. I will sit here, I will wear my things, and I will walk only where shoes fit." decreed the philisophical cat mutant. She punctuated her speech by wearing shorts on her head and a sock on her hand. She eventually shifted back to a human form to finish dressing. It might have been a more shocking or scandalous sight if they weren't the only two in the room. Most of the fallen clothes were slipped where they were 'supposed to be.' Shorts over pants was a slightly odd decision, but the additional layers concealed most of her fashion mistakes.

Emma Frost has posed:
Well, it's an interesting way to view the world. Emma goes to sit back and watch. "Rather quaint. Thank you for acknowledging the inferiority of our non-cat based selves." She would speak amusedly. "What then do you think of Rahne? Or have you not met her or interacted with her much?" Emma would muse gently and sit back thoughtfully.

Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith finally lifted the shorts from her purple haired head and held them out. She seemed to consider adding them to the several layers she already had on, but left them on the floor beside her. Whomever did laundry at the school was likely pulling their hair out with such antics. "Rahne" she parroted. "What does she smell like?" she asked an almost impossible question. It was either a game, or an admission that she'd never met Rahne.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would consider, "I couldn't tell you what she smells like. I'm sure that you would describe her smelling quite differently than I would." Emma admits it. Scent is not something she perceives in remotely the same way that Sharon does.

Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith probably couldn't describe scent in English. It was doubtful any language could describe the odd nuances of smell. Still... Catseye took Emma's words to heart, or possibly mocked them by walking over to sniff deliberately at her neck. "Probably" she stated. "Who is Rahne?"

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would consider, "She's a.. Redhead. Scottish." Not that last term may mean much. "Human, can turn into a wolf." She makes sure to phrase it that way.

Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith lounged back on Emma's lap. "A redhead, Scottish wolf that can turn into a human?" she twisted. "How big?" she asked, opening and widening her arms in an impossible way of measurement. "Is she want to eat me?" she asked with a coyly lifted brow. There was a general lack of concern or tenseness in her frame that made it very doubtful that she was serious.... or perhaps she was overconfident. Either way, she lounged.... heavily.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would hmm for a few moments, "She can turn into what a.. Regular sized wolf would be like and a.. Large one that's like your human form when you have your full fur. So I'd guess bigger. You'd be far too fast for her to ever eat. And I doubt that she would even think of such a thing. You're far too adorable anyways." going to scritch Sharon behind teh ears.

Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith gave Emma a deadpan look. It was hard to tell from Catseye's other looks, because even with a human face, she always carried the same, predatory expression. "You're adorable" she huffed back, pushing up abnoxiously on Emma's chin in retort to the odd scratching. "A red wolf" she decided, as though making a mental note for herself.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would twitch over and hold back a laugh softly. "I suppse I am. Thank you. And.. I suppose a red wolf is close enough. I couldn't tell you what she smells like but you can probably know if you meet her and figure it out for yourself." She's laughing now.

Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith relaxed supine across Emma's lap, her hands folding casually over her own belly as she settled into a comfortable pose. Her blue eyes softly narrowed as she asked. "What do I smell like?" in an impossible challenge.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would let Sharon settle over against her and let out a sigh, "I.." She would pause over, trying to think of something.. "Ginger snaps. A type of cookie." The best she could come up with on short notice.

Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith closed her eyes for a long moment. "Lie" she stated in a long, measured sigh. Emma was, once again, left with a pile of clothes in her lap. The weight of Sharon suddenly lifted from her legs, and a black cat darted across the room. The dark figure scaled several shelves before making its way to the top of the earliest bookshelf Catseye had pointed out. It was a stubborn statement or protest to the night's events as the small cat knocked off whatever trikets were atop of the shelf to lounge very lazily on its surface with half of her legs dangling lazily off of the platform.

Emma Frost has posed:
Emma Frost would shake her head over as Catseye would go to establish whom was the superior snoozer as Emma would get up. "On that note, if you don't mind, dear Catseye, I will try and make it to that ever inferior thing that those of us who are not as special as you are go to sleep in. If you will permit me to withdraw."

Sharon Smith has posed:
Sharon Smith said nothing... not in this form. She simply watched. Whether she would follow when Emma wasn't looking was a different story. Those yellow, predatory eyes remained fixed on the woman's every movement. Fortunately, she didn't move, at least while Emma was still looking at her.
