It's a lovely day for a flight, and while she doesn't quite have the hang of her powers yet, she simply could not resist the urge to flex her muscles, whatever they are, so to speak. Too bad no one taught her about the importance of airspace and all that fun stuff. A brilliant green streak lights up the sky, disrupting a flock of geese! sending them into scattered co fusion. Still she doesn't stop, climbing higher, flying faster...Wait, are there no breaks on this thing? If she goes any faster she might just break the sound barrier, or worse..

Jennifer-Lynn Hayden doesn't seem to hear him. Eyes closed, smiling wildly, she continues to climb higher and faster, and uh oh, she's headed right for that skyscraper! The girl is dressed in casual attire, jeans, a white shirt, nothing fancy. No Green Lantern costume, no ring...But she's totally green! What's with that?

She opens her eyes as she realizes just how close she's getting to those buildings..And screams.

Kyle Rayner speeds up and puts on that extra jet of speed he is in his Green Lantern costume however can't let people know who he is after all. He grabs Jade and pulls her close angling and diving down slowing their decent before touching down in an alley. "You....ok...?" He asks his breath coming in deep a combination of exertion and clearly the blush on his face should tell you just how attracted he is to her

Jennifer-Lynn Hayden's eyes widen, her breath catching in her throat as she realizes that someone caught her out of thin air. "..Huh? You're...A green lantern?!" she breaks out into a happy smile, drawing a deep breath of relief - once she gets her breath back that is. "Phew,that was close!" she nods, "Yeah, just a little shaken. Thank you, you saved my life.."

Kyle Rayner smiles and takes a standard Hero pose fists on his hips chest out. "All in a day's work." He says in a deep super heroesque tone before breaking out laughing. He powers down and appears before her on jeans and an anime t-shirt. "Kyle Rayner, a pleasure to meet you."

Jennifer-Lynn Hayden is grateful to feel the solid ground beneath her, but she can't help but swoon a little at her savior. "Oh, wow..You're a Green Lantern? I've never seen one up close before.." once she gets over the swooning, she hops forward, offering her hand, "Nice to meet you Kyle, I'm Jade!" I don't usually lose control of my powers like that..But I guess they're all pretty new to me.lAnd a little scary sometimes..

Kyle Rayner looks at her hand clearly examining it to see if there is a Lantern ring upon her finger he offers his arm. "Well Jade, do let me escort you, can I take you out for a meal or something?" He asks with a bright smile. "How may I ask do you manifest Lantern powers without...this?" He asks holding up his hand showing the green Lantern ring upon his index finger.

Jennifer-Lynn Hayden does not have a lantern ring, curiously enough, although she in turn peers thoughtfully at his. "To be honest..I don't really know..I just too.." the thought seems to trouble her somehow, but she shakes her head and smiles, "But, it's a real honour to meet you, I've always wanted to meet a Green Lantern.."

More silent swooning ensues, maybe blushing a bit at the offer of dinner..Err..A meal But same diff, right? "Oh! Um..Food sounds good, I know a good burger joint not far from here. I guess flying works up an appetite doesn't it?" she giggles a bit.

Kyle Rayner laughs and nods his head. "It does indeed." He blushes looking Jade up and down as he leads the way to the Burger joint. "Well no matter, you really are stunning Jade, a true vision of grace and beauty."

Jennifer-Lynn Hayden skips to keep up with him, her heart still racing a bit from the near death experience not long ago. "Oh, you really think so?" she blushes again, surprisingly perhaps given her green skin and she pauses a moment, slowing down, biting her lip. "Most people think I'm a freak, because of my green skin.."

Kyle Rayner laughs and nods his head. "Yes I truly do believe you're gorgeous." He says with a bright smile. "Those other people don't know what they're talking about truthfully."

I've been considering modelling actually..But I'm not sure what people would think of a green skinned weirdo.." she bites her lip, "And I'm afraid I might hurt someone with my powers, Like I nearly did today.."

Kyle Rayner smiles and leans over kissing her softly with a blush. "You'll do fine Jade, I'm sure of it. And I'll help you learn to control these powers of yours!"

Jennifer-Lynn Hayden's eyes widen a bit at the kiss, stepping back a bit as her heart rate quickens, anxiously. "Wha...You.." she licks her lips, wanting more but not wanting to seem too forward. All she can muster is a little flustered giggle. "Ohh...You'll help me with my powers too? Really? I'd appreciate that. I dunno why, but I've always felt like part of something greater, like..I dunno. I think they work a bit like a green lantern ring only without a ring..?"

Jennifer-Lynn Hayden shivers at his touch, blushing all the more but doesn't pull away. She can feel the instant attraction between them but. "But...But we just met..We're like, like..Total strangers..!"

Jennifer-Lynn Hayden nods, giving his hand a squeeze, "I feel like maybe we've met before, in another life maybe?" she smiles shyly shaking her head, "But I suppose that's silly.." they reach the burger joint and she pauses, glancing up at it, "But if you wanna be my girlfriend, you'll owe me at least one date, get to know you a bit better!" she smiles and winks at him, following him into the restaraunt.

Jennifer-Lynn Hayden peers up at the menu and nods, smiling shyly, "Yeah, something like that. Oh, my full name is Jennifer-Lynn Hayden. But you can just call me Jen, or Jennie. It's easier." glancing at him, she nods, "Awe, that's sweet of you, thank you...I like the name Jade too of course, what do you think of it as a superhero name?"

Kyle Rayner laughs and gestures to lower Jennie's voice. "A little while now not to terribly long. My ring was entrusted to me by another Lantern and it works through force of will. If you can dream it up you can manifest it into reality." He speaks softly.

Jennifer-Lynn Hayden blinks, glancing around. Thankfully most people are busy chatting and minding their own business as she leads them to a booth. "oh, wow, kinda like my powers. Weird. I don't even know why I have these or where they came from. But I don't even need a ring. I wonder why?"

Kyle Rayner smiles and nods his head. "I guess, if that's how your powers work." He smiles still speaking softly. "I don't know how you came by them but we can look into it, I have some like minded friends who might be able to help."

Jennifer-Lynn Hayden blinks, "Oh really? You can teach me, do some research? Oh.." she smiles, "So are you part of Green Lantern corps? Like, there are a lot of Green Lanterns out there too right?" she is careful to lower her voice now as she glances around but no one is nearby or paying them much attention. "But you know, I'm more interested to hear about the man behind the mask." she smiles.

Kyle Rayner laughs. "Yes I'll teach you, yes we'll do some research." He smiles reassuringly. "Green Lantern Corps, yes and no, but yes there are a lot of us." He leans closer and kisses Jade again taking a bite of his burger. "Not much to tell, I fancy myself an artist I draw and color my own co m ic books."

Jennifer-Lynn Hayden's jade eyes seem to practically glow happily at that, "Ooh, that sounds like so much fun..I didn't think there were that many but I've done a bit of research. I'd like to learn everything I can about GLs. And you too of course.." she blushes and giggles a bit at the kiss, pressing her lips a bit longer against his, caressing his cheek softly.

"Hmm, Id like to go so,e where quiet later..Maybe?" her burger is forgotten for a moment, peering intensely into his eyes with a soft smile, "Mmm, comic artist? That's so...Ro,antic. I'd love to see your work. I'm a photographer. Mostly do landscapes for odd jobs here and there but yeah, like I said, I'd love to get into modelling too. I'm into fashion and all that, it's kinda exciting to be on the other side of the camera too.."
