Cast of Characters: Jemma Simmons, Daisy Johnson, Jane Foster

Jemma Simmons has posed:
Saturdays are usually reserved for leisure. For most, it is a day of rest...a day of relaxation.

But....Jemma isn't most people.

However, today is a little different. True, Jemma is in the R&D lab. But...she isn't working. At least, not yet.

Jemma is actually brewing some tea. Why at the R&D lab? Well....it is where Jemma hides the good stuff. And, only the lab has the precise setup required to brew a perfect cup.

Well, at least in Jemma's opinion.

With the tea process well underway, Jemma places her tablet to the side. Soon it will be used for work purposes and more, but, for now, it sits dormant.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Saturdays are indeed for relaxation.

But also to send messages!

Maybe that's why Jemma's tablet beeps up with a message, then another. Then a third. Someone's busy!

<Hey, you awake already?> <Of course you are.> <So, something from the sky literally knocked on my window last night.>

That's Daisy, power-sending messages through the wapp group. And it's not even noon yet! She woke up early today apparently.

Jane Foster has posed:
[Text to @PhTea, @DirectorFurry] are you not disposed to keep nocturnal hours? i was given to understand that workers toiled all day and all night.

Jemma Simmons has posed:
A flurry of texts? Seems about right from Daisy. Jemma is not surprised.

<Yes, I am awake. Something knocked on your window?>

But...then another message. From an unfamiliar source. <Excuse me? Nocturnal hours?>

Curiouser and curiouser...

Daisy Johnson has posed:
Daisy stops with the flurry because there's someone else in the group! Oh gosh.

< Who is this? And no, we aren't slaves, nor owls. Who are you? >

Then a personal one to Jemma: <You know who this is?>

Jane Foster has posed:
The text message isn't from an unsurprising source, someone with amazing puissance to get past the top-tier security assigned to all the higher-level agents in SHIELD. Oh, the marks are right there for anyone to track back. Device number, IP, authentication protocols: all laid out neatly. It's coming from a Triskelion-approved device somewhere in Manhattan that has yet to be confiscated by whatever MIA/lost in the line of duty procedures SHIELD has.

[Text to @PhTea, @DirectorFurry] Never would i imply you to be thralls. have i possibly given offense to wonder at your waking hours? i am grainy. stop laughing at me yoyo win. No siri don't send that. cancel. i said cancel you insufferable box.

Jemma Simmons has posed:
Even with tea at the ready, Jemma was not expecting this sort of response. A message to Daisy comes back with a <I have no idea.>

Still....it is a weird text. Another text to Daisy sent. <Can you trace it?> Of course Daisy can. It was merely Jemma's way of saying 'please trace.'

However, with the way the text is.... <You are grainy? Interesting.>

Another side text to Daisy <I believe someone is using text to speech? Maybe?>

Daisy Johnson has posed:
<On it> That's the reply to Jemma as she slides from couch to her work table. Ugh, work table. At a Saturday. But FINE. She opens her laptop and starts searching for the IP.

<Yes, yes they are. And someone that isn't tech savvy at all.> which just makes it weirder on how whoever it is gained access to a secure SHIELD channel, or device.

It's when she gets that *beep* about the location that she blinks in realization. Another message to Jemma, <It's coming from Jane's apartment...>

Then she sends a group message. <Err, Grani? Mr. Horse?>

Jane Foster has posed:
Everything looks normal. Jane's regular routine consequently forces her to the Hayden Planetarium, around the Tri-State area, with stops scattered wherever work and her other work take her. Never mind the satellite pings from geosynchronous orbit around the Moon, but that's the benefit of a lunar watchtower manned by the Justice League.

[Text to @PhTea, @DirectorFurry] Lady physic and lady technologist, good day to you. or good eve. never wise to make assumptions of locality on a globe is it yoyo win. very illy one and the same. such a wretched box. transcription without capitalisation is an atrocity but as needs must i suppose,

Jemma Simmons has posed:
Well...a text message from a talking horse. No one had that on their bingo card. It is almost too unbelievable. However, seeing the unique speech patterns, as well as the specific nomenclature that Grani uses confirms for Jemma.

The mystery texter is indeed Mr. Horse.

<Hmm, yes. Good day to you. Forgive me. I was not expecting you.>

Does one usually expect to be texted by a mythological creature? Not normally...

Daisy Johnson has posed:
<Just don't ask it to write in 1337.> Nothing like teasing an uptight gentleman horse with hip technologic stuff. <And like Jemma writes, we weren't expecting you. Do you know anything about Jane's whereabouts?>

Direct to asking about Jane of course, that's Daisy.

< Or do you miss Jemma's tea? >

Jane Foster has posed:
[Text to @PhTea, @DirectorFurry] one makes the most of the antiquated methods available to them. we have mastered the record player, this is merely another historical transposition of our skills. would you expect her paramour? he has not been here for many days. most concerned about his state of mind as i am yours though you seem most sound, ladies physic and technologist. i hoped to speak with his loyal companion though i am certain that all is not well. ah, yes hel likely or the beyond. the lady fallen would be a sight harder to locate were she lost in egg tassel. No, it tassel. you godsforsaken technology unworthy of the name i mean the world tree. yoyo win correct that, will you? a man i met at the embassy of ass guard claimed he would storm hell. he drank ass guarding mead, that he would make rash declarations is not unexpected, though he calls himself ao win please spell it carefully mind your nose cal ha t a r. No not cauliflower siri be silent before i condemn you to the charnel caves of nidavellir or subject you to the view on the television.

Jemma Simmons has posed:
<Would we expect Blackagar? I am not sure. I have not seen him recently.>

Truth be told, Jemma has not seen much of anyone lately, including Daisy. Jemma's state of mind is as normal as she can be, given the circumstances. Which is why she is in the R&D lab on a Saturday. Work calms Jemma, silly as that is.

<You wanted to speak to his companion. Lockjaw?> The auto corrects make for unusual reading. A sip of tea...then back to the conversation. <You think Jane is in Hel?>

For a person who believes magic is just unexplained science, Jemma seems to be getting into an awful lot of unexplained territory.

Daisy Johnson has posed:
< We really should see about finding Blackagar. But I haven't been able to talk with him yet. > No mention of Hel from Daisy though. Jemma is already making the questions. But since they are all on the wapp channel now how about a bit more of unexplained science for Jemma's benefit?

< So about what I mentioned that was knocking at my window ...>

Images are sent to the wapp group, four small rocks of a bird-like shape are on a small pillow. < These came from the sky, almost crashed through my window. They seem to be alive, but dormant. Any idea? >

Jemma Simmons has posed:
<Do you remember when your little visitors came?>

It is an unusual question from Jemma. But, since Daisy is sharing, so will Jemma. <I ask because earlier there was a fire in Delaware.>

Not that special, of course. But wait, there's more.

<The fire was near the Playground. It was burning with properties unseen before. Within the fire, there was an object. Seemingly sentient, as well. It recognized me and is able to project images of me working in my lab. Which, mind you, certainly caught my attention.>

A pause...then another burst of text. <It seemed upset. At itself. And, I think this is old, for it seems to remember an Islamic lab setup, with scientific accords that have not been seen in millennia.>

<Hence my questioning. This might be related, though I have no idea how. Yet.>
