Mercy Thompson has posed:
The weekend is almost here and Mercy cannot wait to have some time off come Sunday. She has done her world for the day and closed the office up but is doing some last minute work to give her less to do tomorrow. Mostly just cleaning up the shop and putting her tools away back to where she keeps them.

Karen Starr has posed:
It's late. Karen finished up work, and actually made a point to be out by five. Then it was a simple matter to take a trip out to handle one small problem. It's close to six as she finally gets to Mercy's Garage, Harlem not being her normal stomping grounds. She pulls into the parking lot in her Mercedes S-Class, and gets out, still dressed in her pantsuit from work. With her heels on, it takes her up over six feet tall, and she click-clicks her way up towards the office.

Mercy Thompson has posed:
Mercy pauses in wiping down some wrenches a the new sounding engine purrs into her lot. Then there's the heels on the pavement. She slowly sets things down and turns toward the sound wondering who this is. Not anyone she knows and sadly too many strong scents for her to get a good whiff through the walls and stuff. She makes her way from the garage part toward the office door and plans to play 'peek through' to see who is there and if she wants to open the door or not.

Karen Starr has posed:
Karen approaches, and will knock at the door. Not super-loud; she already knows exactly where Mercy is, of course, given her senses. So she heads up towards the door, and *noknok*, as she waits.

Mercy Thompson has posed:
Mercy blinks at the impressive woman and will come to the door and see about open the door. "Hello," she now can get a sniff of the woman and that makes her blink and pause. Giving Karen another look over from heels to hair with a bit of a confused expression.

Karen Starr has posed:
Those will be the things that give her away somewhat. Facially, she's Supergirl, only about two decades older. She's taller, of course, and...well, more dramatically contoured. But their scent is probably pretty similar too. Sure, they have different environments; eat different foods, wear different clothing. But they're also literally the same person at the genetic level." Karen looks to Mercy. "Hello there. I was hoping I could speak to you for a minute. I understand you helped out a friend of mine with a situation."

Mercy Thompson has posed:
"Sure I got time to talk. Do you need to talk to me the person, me the mechanic and how private is this?" She glances at the car behind Karen and says, "Least it's the right maker to be in my lot, if the year is newer then most." She opens the door to let Karen in and steps back for the blonde.

Karen Starr has posed:
Karen steps in, looking around the place. "Is there a difference?" She asks at Mercy's first question. "And you helped my friend Kara with a car recently?" she asks, as if to confirm that.

Mercy Thompson has posed:
"I mean both are me, but one tends to have more paperwork with it," offers Mercy with a casual smile. "That's sort of my job, helping out people with their cars." She ends up just leaning on the counter and pushing up on her toes a bit because she's feeling a bit short. "I'm Mercy obviously, and this is my shop. May I ask how you want to be called?"

Karen Starr has posed:
Karen's tall, and kind of amazonian. Not just curvy, but girl has muscles too. "My name's Karen. Karen Starr." she offers a hand across the counter to Mercy. "I wanted to compensate you for lending her a hand there." she says.

Mercy Thompson has posed:
Mercy takes the hand and shakes once and says, "Dare I ask why a CEO is covering for a customer I cut a discount on?" She pulls out from behind the counter and offers, "You want some extra butter cookies in the shapes of eggs I made?"

Karen Starr has posed:
"Kara's a good friend of mine. Seems like the least I could do. If she'd asked me, I'd have just bought her the car, but I assume she wanted to handle it herself." She smiles a little at the cookie offer. "I suppose that's an easier thing to keep around than actual eggs to offer people. Sure, I'll try one."

Mercy Thompson has posed:
"I can't bake an egg. Plus I made a bunch for a shelter." Mercy taps at the counter and says, "I didn't get too burned on the deal for Kara. It wasn't the best deal but I did a good deal last year to help give me that slack some." She steals a cookie for herself. "How are you wanting to compensate then?"

Karen Starr has posed:
"Actually, you can." Karen points out. "They'll come out like hardboiled eggs if you bake them in the oven for about a half hour. And I'm sure you had some monetary investment in the car; I can write you a check for that amount, if that's what you'd like."

Mercy Thompson has posed:
Mercy taps the counter with as she gnaws at her thoughts some. "That's boring and I don't think if Kara found out she like it." Looking to her shop Mercy tries to think what could work best for them all. "I don't like doing boring. You come here with any other ideas?"

Karen Starr has posed:
Karen looks curious. "Honestly, I don't generally expect a small business owner to turn up their nose at a check. Was there something else you had in mind?" she asks. She bites the cookie.

Mercy Thompson has posed:
"Hey I get it. I just... don't like handouts. I worked hard to get where I'm at and earned it. So I don't mean any insult. I just can't see the idea of taking the check as a good idea." She thinks about that and instead, "Hire me for a job. Not some made up job. But when you got someone in your company that owns a classic German make car, send them my way. Though I'm guessing you're not a New York native as much."

Karen Starr has posed:
"Actually, I do quite a bit of work in New York." She nods. "Sure, I can send some business your way." She gives a faint smile. "Thanks for helping her out."

Mercy Thompson has posed:
"Felt like I owed her after I hurt her in our sparing match. We were just suppose to be having some fun and I drew blood." Mercy does NOT look happy about that, and Karen can tell Mercy is not telling a lie either. "That sounds like a deal. Oh and if I can get your card. Never know when it will be nide to get a line to a CEO's desk. Assuming your okay with that."

Karen Starr has posed:
"That's interesting. Kara's pretty tough. Not usually an easy one to make bleed." She takes out her business card with a smooth and practiced motion, offering it over. "Here you are."

Mercy Thompson has posed:
The card is taken but not looked at right now. Why look at the card when the woman is there in front of you. "Just my weird luck I think. She recovered fine though of course." Mercy is all smiles however, 'You want to take a few cookies with you? Unless there is more you want to talk about of course." Mercy just letting one corner of her mouth tick up in a sly grin to see if Karen takes the bait or not.

Karen Starr has posed:
Karen's not quite as open or friendly as her alternate self. She shakes her head. "One's fine. Girl's got to watch her figure. And I think that'll do us. Take care, and don't hesitate to use that card if you need it." And with that, she'll move to start out of the office.

Mercy Thompson has posed:
Mercy will see Karen out and doesn't believe for a second a woman in Karen's shape counts a single cookie's calories. She locks up after her and watches the car leave her lot before she begins to close up shop to head to her room and look at the card. "Going to tuck this away for a blood rainy day."
