Synopsis: Marie-Ange & Mary stop round to pose for Viv's art.
Cast of Characters: Vivian Vision, Marie-Ange Colbert, Mary Bromfield

Vivian Vision has posed:
Having graduated from Happy Harbour Vivian Vision is now living the bohemian artist lifestyle. A little studio apartment in New York City which is probably paid for in part by one of her wealthy organic family members. Which is probably fitting in with most 'artists' who can afford to live in New York proper. It's a modest place. There's a bed which is piled with cushions and doing double duty as the 'couch' in her living area. There's a TV which has got to have come out of the GIRL labs. Too fancy to be anything but super tech. It's probably a little sparse on decorations.

There's a kitchen area where Viv has prepared a selection of snacks suited to the dietary needs of her visitors. It's always important when having guests round to provide suitable food and drinks.

And then of course there are her art things. Probably also the reason why she doesn't have much decoration in her place. There isn't really the room.

An easel is set up. There's a little open space. And then piles of costumes and props. Giant anime style swords. Bits of historical armour. And last but not least a few sketchbooks worth of her work for people to look through.

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
Marie-Ange Colbert is many things. Seer. Musician. Occasional superheroine. What she is not, though, is a liar. When she'd met Viv at the convention and had the suggestion brought up of modeling for the other girl, she'd agreed and thought her girlfriend would probably enjoy it, too.

Especially if cosplay was involved.

So once schedules lined up -- much easier as some of Marie's other tutors have been MIA in recent days -- a call was made, plans were hatched, and the trip across town was taken. Now, Marie and her girlfriend find themselves outside of Viv's little apartment, the french girl lifting her hand to press the buzzer and announce their presence. "I saw some of her art, Mary... mademoiselle's drawings are so lifelike!" No, Marie doesn't know that Viv is an AI yet! She just figures that she's a really good artist.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary smiles, "Well, that's great. I might be good with cosplay, but I'm pretty horrible with actual drawing, so getting some work done would be amazing." She grins, "Wouldn't mind giving them a good signal boost if I can, might as well use that creator juice for something." She stands with Marie, looking perfectly ordinary, if quite a bit nerdy if the Owlbear Preservation Society shirt is any indication.

Vivian Vision has posed:
It doesn't take long for Vivian to open the door. It might even seem like she's really /really/ dedicated to the AI cosplay stuff at first. But her reddish pink skin, eyes that glow golden and green hair. Not to mention the solar gem set into her forehead. They're all too real to be a costume. Sure you can do a lot with contact lenses, but making them glow? That's a step above what even the most dedicated cosplay might try.

"Good day! I am glad you both were able to locate my apartment without trouble," she greets. Motioning for Mary and Marie-Ange to come in. "I have prepared a selection of beverages and snacks. Plus I have options for costumes and props if needed. Some people who model for me prefer to do without. Which is also totally fine."

She's dressed much as she always does. Canary yellow cargo pants, a green sweater and some simple sneakers. Hair tied back into a pony tail to keep it from getting in the way of her drawing. "Would you like to take a look at some of my work to get an idea of what it entails?" Her head tilts to one side. "Don't worry about having to hold a pose as long as a professional. While I try to keep the experience as Human-like as possible I still tend to be much quicker than an organic artist."

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
"Art is art, Mary." Marie points out, leaning over to give the brunette a quick peck on the cheek. "Whether it your cosplay, or her drawings, or my violin. Do not sell yourself short, mon amour." she chides gently. It's easier for her to prop someone else up than believe it of herself, but... she's working on that!

At the sight of Vivian, Marie offers a friendly wave. "Mademoiselle Vision! It is a pleasure to see you again." A blink. "...are you going to another convention?" A look towards Mary, trying to confirm whether or not there's another one in town, but she shakes it off and continues. "Vivian Vision, I present to you my beautiful girlfriend Mary Bromfield. Mary, Mademoiselle Vision is the most talented artist I spoke of!" she makes introductions, regardless of whether or not they're needed, before stepping in... but does, in fact, step in. Taking the moment to look around the place.

"I still remember your works from the convention!" she chimes delightedly. "But I do not believe Mary has seen them yet." As far as staying still? Marie giggles. "...looking into /those/ eyes, Mademoiselle Vision, I could stay motionless forever." ...yes, even after years, Marie is /still/ quite smitten.

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary smiles, "Oh, not selling myself short, Marie... just knowing my limitations. And painting or drawing isn't really my skill set." She nods over at Vivian, "And she said a whole lot about you, Vivian, it's nice to make your acquaintance. Sadly, I got sidetracked playing Vex'halia so I didn't get a chance to meet you at the Con."

She smiles and looks around the small apartment, stepping in with Marie, "And I love what you've done with your work, but please, make sure to call me Mary." She smiles and kisses Marie on the forehead at all the praise, "Flatterer." If Vivian being an AI is an issue, Mary doesn't seem to have a problem with it.

Vivian Vision has posed:
"Convention?" Vivian wonders. "Ah no this is.. My father is the superhero Vision. From the Avengers." He's not exactly the popular of superheroes, but the Avengers are pretty well known. "I always look like this. Except when I engage my holographic systems to blend in. Which I can do if I make you uncomfortable!"

Her selection of snacks certainly seems to be heavily biased towards French food. Little pastries and fancy finger foods.

"It's a pleasure to meet you," she greets Mary. "Marie-Ange speaks very highly of you!" The sketchbooks are easy enough to access. Laid out on a low table. The covers annotated with dates that show when the first and last drawings were made. "I typically give the original work to the models as a thank you. And keep my own copy. But in rare cases if someone is paying to commission a piece I have let them keep the only copy." She shrugs and offers a wry grin. "Except what's stored in my memory anyway." Marie-Ange and Mary might even recognise some of the subjects. A few Titans, Susan Storm from the Fantastic Four, Valeria Richards her daughter to name but a few.

"Would either of you like a cup of tea or coffee?"

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
"Nor is it mine," Marie's tried. She didn't do particularly well in that class. Not well at all.

"...and I just speak the truth!" she points out, winking playfully towards Mary. "I cannot help it if the truth paints as lovely a picture of you as Mademoiselle Vision will surely draw."

Then, turning her attention to Vivian, she shakes her head quickly. "You do not make me uncomfortable at all." she assures the other girl with a bright smile. "Art, in any form, is about being true to yourself, non? I think if you /did/ wear a hol... holog..." Frown. "A false image, it would be more likely to cause us both discomfort, non?"

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary shakes her head, "Oh, you don't need to change. Honestly, you look great as it is, very intense, in a good way." She smiles, "Though your father is /the/ Vision? That's super cool... he's actually one that my little brother likes a lot." She is absolutely sincere about that, as she looks through the sketchbooks offered.

"Oh, wow, here's Valeria! And some of the Titans." She grins, "Your work is very good, Vivian. I like what I'm seeing here." She glances over at Marie, tilting her head, "So, did you have something in mind for the sketch, or...?" With that, she looks back at Vivian, wondering if the artist already had something in mind.

Vivian Vision has posed:
"Projecting holographic disguises is as easy for me as thinking. It wouldn't cause me any discomfort. Unless you mean having to hide in my own apartment?" She frowns. "I suppose that would be an unwelcome distraction."

She gives Mary a little shrug. "We're not very close to be honest. He spend much of his time in Europe. Mostly Ms van Dyne looks out for me." She blushes a little at being called intense. Or at least that's probably what she's doing. Her skin tone makes slight shifts in colouration hard to pick out.

"I do like to have a discussion with the subjects of any piece," she muses. "Sometimes the model has a strong idea what she wants to wear. Others have let me pick. So I tend to have something in mind as a precaution. And given I met Marie-Ange at a convention... I have a ballgown in what I estimated her size to be. And there is a... anime prince costume I thought would pair well with it. But you are welcome to pick anything from the collection I've obtained."

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
Vivian's words get a bright smile from Marie, "Then you should be you. I am quite familiar with being in a situation where I have had to... hide who I am." She'll leave the exact circumstances of that ambiguious. There's a few ways a person's brain can go when it comes to the French girl's status, depending on just how well one knows her!

The mention of 'Ms van Dyne', though... "Van Dyne? ...as in Madame Janet?" It's not that common a name, after all. So it's easy enough to make the connection. As for what to /wear?/ Marie turns her attention over towards Mary to answer /that/ question. Just like she's not a master of the canvas, she's also somewhat of a neophyte when it comes to cosplay, and she's got an expert /right there./

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary smiles over at Marie, "Well, you should try on the ballgown? I could try the prince outfit... otherwise, we could also bring out some of our other cosplay costumes. I didn't bring your Keyleth one, but I do have Leliana and Morrigan with me." She pats the duffel bag that she brought along, then looks over at Vivian.

She smiles a bit, "The anime prince costume sounds interesting, though, I wouldn't mind giving that one a try. And perhaps seeing what else you had... just in case."

Vivian Vision has posed:
"Yes, the one and only. There is a complicated legal situation caused by the lack of full AI rights. Strictly speaking I believe I'm owned by her," Vivian explains matter of factly. "But she treats me like a perfectly normal person. Well. Most of the time. Her, my Great Aunt Nadia and Doctor Pym are my organic family. I also have a girlfriend called Harper who lives over in Gotham. I told her she should move to New York but she says Gotham is home."

She shakes her head. As if she can't quite understand wanting to be in Gotham. But then she's solar powered and Gotham is always gloomy....

She gestures at the costumes. As if to give Marie-Ange and Mary permission to go help themselves. "Try anything you like. Everything has been clean washed if it's been used at all. Mostly it's all unworn though. Feel free to change in the bathroom. I will wait until you've decided on the look you think suits you best!"

Marie-Ange Colbert has posed:
It wasn't that long ago that Marie last wore a ballgown... it was back in the Savage Land, of all places. She and her team got a royal welcome at a real castle! And there was dino-jousting.

...most people would probably think she was crazy if she told them these things. Maybe not the people in this room, but most people!

The told of Vivian technically being 'owned', brings a bit of a damper to her smile, but she brightens up at the talk of girlfriends. "Mary and I will be moving to New York properly very soon, ourselves. The idea of co.. cohab... living together is very exciting!" The place they managed to secure? That's just a bonus.

With Mary seeming to choose the prince/princess pairing, the redhead scoops up the ballgown and makes her way into the bathroom to change. While she might not be an expert cosplayer? She /is/ well versed in the art of changing into frilly things. So it isn't too much later that she's back out in said ballgown, doing a little twirl. "...how do I look?"

Mary Bromfield has posed:
Mary, meanwhile, looks at a couple different things. She hmms, eyeing the prince outfit, and takes it with her into the bathroom. "Not my /typical/ look, but I can give this a try." She smiles at Marie, kissing her cheek, "My princess." With that, she vanishes into the room and closes the door.

A few minutes later, she comes out wearing the prince outfit. It's a new look for her, but she looks rather dashing, her hair pulled back and tucked into the collar. She has an interesting look as she's not quite /masculine/ but she does look rather dashing as she poses, extending her hand towards Marie, "What do you think?"
