An encounter in the park!
Date of Scene: 11 June 2023
Location: Bryant Park
Synopsis: Franklin and Saeko have a suspisious conversation!
Cast of Characters: Franklin Richards, Saeko

Franklin Richards has posed:
It is later in the day the sun hasn't set, but it is soon to. The park is not empty, but there are large patches of areas that are isolated. In one of these parts Franklin sets down a Raven. Franklin talks to it, "My avian companion. Your time of punishment has ended. Fly back to your human form and reclaim your identity.. Farwell!" and smiles at it. After a moment the bird talks back. "Thank you, Franklin, for freeing me. Your powers are remarkable, and your compassion inspiring." though Franklin just shakes his head at this.

"Forgiveness and redemption are key. I've seen it firsthand. When you return to your body, just land on it and you will be yourself once again." finally the bird responds. "Your belief gives me hope. Thank you." and takes flight leaving Franklin standing alone watching the bird. The mans's punishment is over. Franklin hopes for a brighter future.

Of course this whole time he isn't looking around, or checking if there is anyone else around. His attention is fully on the bird, as the bird's is on Franklin as two now frieds are saying goodbye after a bit of time together.

Saeko has posed:
A later night, but the sun was only heading to set in one part of the world while it would rise in another. Of course, at the moment Saeko herself was headed through the city that had become not quite a home but certainly a place for her to be found. A Tenko, a kitsune divine spirit in New York...but then the city itself was meant to be a melting pot and apparently that was not excluding gods.

Spotting someone talking to a bird wasn't that strange among spirits, but amongst the normal mortal people? A little moreso.

Sweeping closer, the woman herself wasn't revealing her true nature, instead she looked like a normal (albeit an immensely beautiful) human rather than her fox-tailed self.

"How curious..." she speaks up as she seems to overhear his words. It sounded like a curse after all.

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin watches and smiles, hoping that he did a good deed, and Viper would go from made man into good one. The poor guy had no idea who he tried to shove around with his power, but as he had been Franklin's worker for the last few days with a raven body he had learned well. He would be thinking about it for a moment before he hears a voice. Franklin smiles, but doesn't turn around for now. "You know my mother tells me I should not talk to strangers in the park." and chuckles, a bit. he thinks to himself how she fears for the poor strangers that get intangled with her son, but he doesn't say that part. Some things are better learned through example, and other then sneaking up on him they did not seem rude at least.

He pondered quietly for a moment thinking, and still not turning as he was curious how they would react to it. "Are you refering to the Bird, Myself, or the message?" he asks finally seeking clearification. Though it might not be visable he had a smile on his face as he was teasing just a bit. The reaction itself was curious as he thought about who would so calmly say that.

He smelled the air, and raised an eyebrow, but didn't say anything as he kept considering the different options. He doubted AIM would send someone who smelled like that after him, but should he keep his guard up. This and more went through his mind as he quietly stood there for a few moments looking away still. "Franklin Richards. There, we are half way to not being strangers anymore." he added finally to break his silence.

Saeko has posed:
"But if you never talk to a stranger," the woman speaks, herself indeed being a strange scent here for one with sharp enough senses. Indeed it might indeed be magical aura that intermingled the scent of some sweet flower with...almost like a garden or some kind of fruit. "How else might you meet anyone new?"

A shrug of her partially bare shoulder, the girl wrapped in her red halter top and dark black hotpants shorts that probably looked a little strange at this hour.

Still, she does at least offer a bow of her head. "I am Saeko," she offers lightly in introduction. "It is a pleasure to meet you."

Franklin Richards has posed:
Sighs a bit and looks forward with a chuckle he starts, "Oh if meeting new people were the issue." he says considering all the people affected by following around Deadpool for a night. He finally turns and looks at her with a grin, He is youngish still on the low sides of twenty, but he has that boyish look still. He wears a confortable T-Shit with Tupac on it with the words 'Trust No-one' a simple yet stylish pair of blue jeans with the white sneakers. Nothing really looks abnormal about it as he looks at Saeko.

"You never answered my question though, what did you find curious? I am interested in knowing now." he asks curiously. He finds a tree to lean on and smiles to himself a bit. "I will answer you truthfully, as long as you do not lie to me." he notes as if a bet. Looking up he chuckles, "I wonder which of us will baulk first." though he would of course not hold it against her either way. He did it for the fun of it, as meeting new people is interesting.

He had no idea if she would agree, or just lie in the door, and those choices were fun to him, and he did so like to see what others would answer.

Saeko has posed:
What did she find curious? Well, that answer was more complex than most might think. Still, Saeko gives a little lift of her hand to giggle. "I am curious about all of it," she offers. Age based on appearance could be deceptive, given that she looked to be in her twenties...given she was over a thousand years old.

"That message for the bird, the...circumstance. Is that your doing, or did you merely come across it?"

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin of course didn't know her age, so treated her like any twenty year old or someone around his age. He considered a bit, and answers. "I guess it maybe wierd, but I had read back a long time ago it was actually very common." he notes. Though he smiles and considers looking at Saeko, "I have said my name, and you still ask. This also is interesting." he says as he fits a bit more together. "The message, was one of hope. People changing is a fickle thing, sometimes it holds, and sometimes it does not. Without proper reinforcement old habits tend to pop up." he explains a bit clinicly.

He looks at her, and grins. "As far as your second question that is the interesting one." he says thinking outloud as he looks at her. "What exactly do you think I have done? Before I can say if I am behind it I think I need to know that much at least?" he chuckles a bit. "I mean, I would not want to take credit for something I did no do." and looks innocent though he has that grin.

Saeko has posed:
Saeko actually laughs at that, a genuinely amused word as she circled Franklinand his questions, shaking her head. "I do not ask your name. I heard it, but I do more curiously wonder if I was witnessing a curse victim...now I wonder what it makes you so reserved and cautious. After all, you are the one refusing to share while trying to coax more information from another." A grin, she shrugs her shoulders. "I mean...It is not odd, but still. Would I truely expect you to brag with a stranger that you have ability to turn someone into a bird."

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin smiles and listens, "You are correct, attention to details, and retention." he notes with a nod, Though he grins when he notes, "I will try to remember who is asking the questions." and chuckles a bit as he looks at her as she circles he loses track of course he isn't an owl. He smiles again though as he continues, "A curse?" he thinks about it. "Well part of a curse is to inflict harm." he shakes his head and lightly says, "I prefer to call it Therianthropy myself."

He looks at her when he says that to see her reaction. Her last statement also got his interest. Was she trying to get him to brag or something. What if he did, would he gain more information acting in a way she may suspect him to. He just smiles, and thinks about the answer. Finally he responds with honesty again. "Because it is fun, and because normal people don't talk to me." he notes looking around, "I find each encounter interesting, but all the people are special in some kind of way." he looks at her again. "And I am trying to predict what is your way, but you are the one asking the questions.. So please continue." and chuckles a bit with a grin just relaxing on the tree as he was having fun talking with Saeko so figured whats the harm in it.

Saeko has posed:
"An enchantment then perhaps? If you prefer...or is it supposed to be mutant power?" Saeko questions, the disguised kitsune moves closer, folding her hands behind her back. "Unless you were merely speaking to an animal, rather than an individual whom has been turned into an animal. Such individuals are often experiencing the wrath of another being."

Yep, all of this spoken if it were perfectly normal.

Franklin Richards has posed:
Franklin acts surprised, "So you do know of mutants, and yet you asked if it was a curse." he rubs his chin. "Very interesting." then clearifies, "I can not say if it is not a mutant power.. as it is, and isn't." he answers with a chuckle, and a shrug as it was the best way he could explain it. Though he speaks he watches her with a grin thinking, and listening closely. "What if I told you his mind was a bird, because that was just the reality of it?" he smiles a bit. "As gravity works, as time passes, the nature of his conciousness was to be attached to that bird?" he stops and considers this himself.

"If your looking for information you should visit Miss. Crowe. Her shop is an excellent place." he looks at her and smiles. "We will meet again.. Until next time." and with that he is just gone. He was standing there a moment, and the next he is gone. If one can detect such things they may see the space between here, and where he went unfolding showing how he did it. but it is fixing itself quickly.
