Cast of Characters: Tynan Ireton, Nettie Crowe

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty has literally been very much out of contact the last few days. Mari likely has been a bit of a brat. The woman has left a note, and Mari likely has stayed true to what Ty said about staying out of the way, and staying where Ty normally stays. Ty staggers into the shop, crashing into a counter, barely holding herself up. "MARI!", she calls out. First thing, Ty never just walks into the shop, mostly cause of the wards. Second, she hardly ever comes in looking like she got the crap knocked out of her. Her eyes though, jet black with ice blue irises....A sign she's been overtaxing certain magics.

"MARI! I got the box, and gonna get you an apartment, so grab your gear before Nettie decides to show up, and do something to my ears!", she calls out. THe woman is breathing very heavily...

Nettie Crowe has posed:
Not that Nettie minded. She's brought Mari food, and spoken in a little broken Gaelic, and even introduced Mari to Corvax who did *not* speak to her except for dejected 'caw's.

And as Tynan bursts in, Nettie has followed behind, and leans against the wall outside, the shorter, gray-haired woman regarding Tynan.

"And what would I do to your ears, duckie?" she questions, eyebrows rising. "Once Mari comes down, let's have a chat."

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Ty blinks a few times. "Shit....", she says. Yup, the merc knows she's in for a long talk. Ty's dad did teach Mari some Gaelic, but the young woman who comes down seemed to speak more southeast asia languages when swearing. "That depends on how much you think you could get them at the moment without wondering if its an illusion or not..", she mutters. The woman basically falls to the floor, resting her back on the counter

The merc sucks in a breath as the young woman comes down with a duffle bag roughly like one of Ty's run bags. It seems the woman very much is just like a young version of Ty...Or at least in the same job line.

"I just needed her someplace safe, trusted, and where even with her powers, she wasn't gonna to be able to hurt anyone. You know I can't leave somebody from my line of work at my place without some supervision. You've seen my basement.", Ty starts to explain. "Hell, do you trust me with that stuff down there?", she asks.

Nettie Crowe has posed:
Nettie raises her eyebrows, and she stretches her fingers a moment as she Mari comes down.

"Tynan. Do you know that I would lay down my life for anyone in the Justice League?" she questions quietly. "And that I'm particularly good at keeping secrets and information to myself -- but you still have to give me the information. You brought an unknown person here, into my sanctum -- into my *home*. What you do in your own places--"

Ty is handed a short tumbler glass. It's definitely not tea. It's Gin.

"Is your business. I give that respect to everyone. But in mine? You need to at least tell me what you are doing. Who you are bringing. And that's not carte blanche to bring every Tina Dick or Harriet into the Candle." she warns.

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Mari blinks a few seconds as Ty takes the gin, and downs it. She shakes her head a little before Mari just growls a little bit. There's a bit of a chinese war of words between Ty and Mari before Mari looks at Nettie. "You work with the League? You're a Leaguer?", she hisses a little bit. "You gonna to arrest me?", Mari hisses. Ty groans a bit.

"Mari, settle down. Nettie isn't gonna to arrest. She knows I'm a merc with sniper training, and done more then a little bit of killing. Hell, you havn't popped your first kill or even wounded a person y...Well, you did shoot that kid, which we're gonna have a long talk about.", Ty growls. The two mercs, young and slightly younger seem to be getting ready for another war of words.

"I didn't have time. She shot a kid, an italian mob family kid on a job. She was sent to collect protection money, they didn't want to pay, and she was told to advise them about not paying. Things got heated, and the son stabbed her, and she hit the kid with her power. Got the 10 year old in the leg. Sorry Nettie, just word came down right before I had to go on a job." ,she mutters. "Nothing serious, but enough to start some serious shit.", Ty says.

Mari blinks a few times as she looks at Ty a bit more closely. "The hells wrong with your eyes. Seriously!", she asks. Ty shakes her head. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you. Lets just say there's more to things here then you'll ever want to know, and I've fought things that would age you 100 times over just with a mere thought of them."

Nettie Crowe has posed:
"Settle down, pup, if I were going to arrest you, there would be nothing you can do about it. I don't want to arrest anyone. I'm largely against that sort of thing for the creatures *I* work with." Nettie gives a toothy grin, "I tend to kill them or send them right down to Hell. Much easier than *arresting* a demon." Nettie gives a smile, she pours tea for Mari in a cup with a tri-color kitten on it, and the gray-haired woman sits down next to Ty on the floor, and takes a drink from her flask.

"I'm a witch. Retired necromancer, really. Hereditary magic user, an' her first magic teacher." Nettie jacks a thumb towards Tynan.

"So. Sit yourself down, have a cup of tea, and let's have a chat about how I can help the two of you not get killed."

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Mari blinks as she sits down, and sips her tea. "Ha, ha, ha. Cute joke. Witch...", she laughs dryily. She shakes her head a little bit. "And Ty using magic. She's a mutant. Nothing fancy. So, you've been trying to pass your power off as magic now?", Mari asks. Ty sighs a little bit. "Why does this remind me of something from about a year or two ago?", Ty smirks a little bit.

"Mari, get my shirt off, and get this tac gear off.", she says. The younger merc does so, and starts cutting the shirt off, and blinks as she starts removing the armor. There's a modest sports bra tank top underneath, but Nettie would see several bruises. Mari winces looking at the back of the armor. "You know you got a sniper round that...went partially through?", Mari asks. Ty nods her head.

"Nettie, I need something a little stronger, and restorative. I would be dead right now if I didn't push the limits of the Hell Runes, but you know the cost. I'm so thirsty, but water isn't helping... Also I paid the Russians to have a chat. Even paying them though, they're gonna call for a favor.", she tells.

Mari just looks at the armor, and looks at Nettie with this confused look. Yeah, Ty hasn't told her about magic. "Mari is one of my dad's students. After he found out, he asked me to protect her, and well, take over her training.", Ty tells. "Mari, go to my bag, and pull out the purple bottle. Its pain killers.", she tells.

Nettie Crowe has posed:
"No need. Drink the gin, Tynan." NEttie states in a no-arguments-accepted voice, and she goes to stand.

She holds her hands about yay apart, and with some Olde English, there's a leather bag in her hand.

"Remember, duckie, I was a nurse in the World Wars. Been dealing with gunshots longer than you two have been alive put together." she states, and she starts withdrawing Old Glass Bottles, sealed with wax, with a lot of old terms on them.

She takes the glass back,r egardless of if Tynan's had a sip, and adds two drops of something to it. It turns the gin black, and then a sickly yellow.

She then begins to take out gauze, poltices and some weird green ooze looking stuff.

"Did I ever tell you about the time a General walked through the camp asking for someone to deliver a missive, and none of the lads wanted to do it because it had to be at night, on a bicycle, across enemy lines? So this little nurse decided to take up the letter and make the delivery?" she asks, in order to keep them both on the same page with her as she considers just what to do with the Russians.

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Mari looks at Nettie. "Don't give her some sort of poison.", she hisses. THe woman starts to go for the bag before Ty grabs her leg. "Look, Mari, watch.", she tells. Ty nods her head, and takes a long pull from the black gin. "Mari, I used portions of my soul to protect myself, as I was taught by a succubus. She was or is a Hell Lord. So..yeah, you can guess some of the side effects. Either way, I guess you were the nurse?", Ty asks Nettie.

None of the bullet wounds broke skin. Thank god for her tac armor, and her enchanting skills. Somebody either underestimated Ty, or didn't know her skill level. While not on the level of most of the JLD, Ty's more adapt at her skills then some. At least enough to have earned some trust.

Ty winces a little bit. "I got a couple of cracked bones.", she tells. Mari just makes this face. "If she was in the World Wars, I'll go give that raven a liter of Singapore rum! Cute bird ma'am, but the magic line just....yeah, doesn't do it for me.", Mari says. Ty laughs a little bit. "Stop making me laugh, it hurts when I laugh. Corvax, where the hell are you? She said rum!"

Nettie Crowe has posed:
"But Nettie doesn't *like* it when I interrupt her stories." the crow states as he drops down from the laughters, and he gives a nod to Mari. "Miss. I'll happily take the rum."

"I am, in fact, that little nurse. Had gray hair then too, you know. Originally they called me donkey. Le Anesse." Nettie replies, "And oh, they expected me to run it via a bicycle, but I wasn't about to do that nonsense under the cover of darkness. I grabbed my besom and we flew it over the lines and were so quick about returning with the message that the commander exclaimed 'il faut avoir vole sur un balai pour y aller et revenir si vite !' -- which in English is 'you must have flown on a broom to get there and back so quickly' mind you -- so they started calling me the Greywitch. An' the name stuck. I moved from camp to camp, French, Flemmish, British, American, oh, did I like those American lads. All fresh faced. Back when your rank depended more on who your father was and we had hardened infantry men being lead by schoolboys who'd done up mock battle plans in their classes, before tanks and jet fighters." she remarks quietly.

Tynan Ireton has posed:
Mari blinks a few times. She stares at the crow, pinching herself a little bit. It takes a few seconds for her mind to process the bird talking about taking rum. "...That is not a parrot with black paint on right?", she asks. Ty hics a little bit, and giggles a little bit. Her body starts to relax a little bit. Mari breathes out. "I'm so confused!", Mari comments.

Ty shakes her head. "Welcome to the true face of the Candle. Magic is real, and so are your nightmares. Nettie can give Batty Boi and Superman runs for their money.", she giggles. Mari just stares a moment. "Oh, and you're gonna to tell me you work for the the League...", Mari says. Ty shows a tiny badge marked JLD. Just for the rare cases where she needs to get to places that are just too well guarded for her to sneak into. "How many boys did you kiss during the wars?", Ty says. Mari is more staring at Ty, then to Nettie about Ty being with the League....

Nettie Crowe has posed:
"None, poppet. I'm a lesbian." Nettie answers simply, applying some of the green goop to Tynan's side. It is so strong that Ty can probably TASTE the bitterness to the salve.

"And during the first one I hatpinned in the thigh anyone who tried. Didn't have to worry much about the second one, since my wife was also a nurse."

"A PARROT? I AM NOT A BLOODY *PARROT*. I AM A BONIFIDE ENGLISH CARRION CROW MISS!"

Tynan Ireton has posed:
"I know.", Ty tells. She giggles a bit, as the gin is hitting harder then normal. The salve...."If I wasn't drunk from whatever...would I be punching you over this medicine?", she asks Nettie. Stupid question, hence the gin. "He's...about as English as a New Yorker. And before you ask, he's the bird you see eating dead people.", she tells. Ty giggles. "Corvax poking an eyeball out. Oh, how I can see that now.", she giggles...

Mari...just stares. The bird...is having intelligent conversation...The hell is this? Mari's mind just goes into this is not right nod, and her eyes roll up in her head. She faints.

"Wittle birdie, did Mari just pass out? I'm gonna take her under my wings, and teach how to be a right proper merc, and then help me make my dream of owning my own company...", she giggles. "Gonna take the brats back home, and make them into something other then cutthroats...", she snickers. Ty smirks a bit. "I'm gonna wish I was dead in the morning, arn't I?", Ty asks.

Nettie Crowe has posed:
"You're going to wish you were dead in about ten minutes, and then be knocked out in about twelve. And when you wake up in the morning you're going to feel like you'll never taste anything except this medication again until you drink coffee." Nettie comments quietly as she finishes up.

"I'll make sure Mari is put to bed. You just sit here and enjoy your buzz, poppet."
