Synopsis: Scene Closed
Cast of Characters: Mary Jane Watson, Gamora, Mantis

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
Never let it be said that Mary Jane goes back on her word. Frigga had invited her back here after all! So when Mary Jane is waiting outside the Embassy, humming to herself and strangely enough with a very, very large basterd sword strapped over her back that she seems far more relaxed to have on that's definitely bulky enough that a normal human shouldn't be able to haul it around so easily. She's humming 'do you suffer from short term memory loss' while tapping her foot over and waiting to see if Gamora will walk around openly..
Or be staking the place out from a distance and darting in sneakily. The part of Mary Jane's alternate that has done much skulking around where potent alcohol is consumed is amusedly seeing if so if she can spot the lean, green, alien beating machine.

Gamora has posed:
The Most Dangerous Woman in the Galaxy does not sneak around Terra, the occupants of which largely range from skittish to oblivious -- neither of which call for an abundance of caution. A few on the way have been so intimidated by the sheer aura of menace she puts off that they've actually crossed the street. A few others have actually run up to her with cameras drawn, squealing, "ARE YOU ANOTHER HULK?!"

Luckily, taxis stop at the Asgardian Embassy, so Gamora and Mantis are gratefully spared from too much gawking. Also, Gamora didn't even have to cut anyone's arm off (though it might have come close). But, yes, they arrive in true New Yorker fashion. In a yellow cab.

Where were they getting the cash for transportation from, anyway? First there was the 'rental' mini-van, and now cab fare.

"I understand Peter's attachment to this place, but I'll be glad when we're on the move, again," she tells Mantis when she steps out of the cab, handing the driver too many twenties in the process.

"Hey, thanks, lady!" he calls.

Gamora slams the door without a word of response, turning to face the entrance to the Asgardian Embassy... and the redhead with the giant sword standing outside. Because, one doesn't simply overlook something like that.

Mantis has posed:
"It is his home," Mantis explains with no shortage of wonder in her voice. Terra is certainly a contender to be one of the weirdest planets in the galaxy, but it's easy to fall in love with it. It's also easy to misunderstand it. "It is important to understand Terra if we are to understand Peter." She smiles gleefully. "And I don't understand it!" She doesn't seem too worried about it.

As Gamora leads the way to the embassy, Mantis walks behind her, falling into that comfortable, subservient posture. Her shoulders are back, hands curled together at her midriff. "Gamora!" Mantis whispers. "Where did you get all those pictures of grandfathers?" The twenties. She doesn't understand why Terra is so obsessed with those little green pictures, but it can't be denied.

"That man was so happy when you gave him all of your grandfathers!" Mantis points out as she follows. "Terrans love green papers with old men on them. I believe it is called the patriarchy." Mantis nods her head confidently and watches for any reaction from Gamora.

Oh, there's MJ. And MJ's sword. "...Gamora..." Mantis quietly mutters. "We were invited... right?"

Mary Jane Watson has posed:
The two are easy enough to recognize. Well, even if Gamora was keeping it subtle, from her interactions over with Mantis Mary Jane doesn't think that the other woman could pull it off. She's cheerful enough over as she gives the two a wave in invitation. "Hey there, glad you could make it! I have to say I've been looking forwards to this. I don't exactly know my way around the embassy.. But it's pretty easy to tell where things are. Just follow the sounds of the fighting to get to the mead hall." Well, it might not be called a mead hall, but Mary Jane doesn't think any of the Asgardians would mind referring to it as that.

the sword is definitely heavy, and Mary Jane is handling it over with ease instead of slouching ever just a little bit or being off balance. She can haul the weapon easily and is used to it. It's slung over at just the right angle in it's sheathe that she can snap her hand over to fast draw it without issue, and her hair has been very subtly checked out of the way where it won't risk interfering. Very subtle signs that she's very familiar with how to use the weapon.

"And it's just how the particular.. Styles of currency are used here. Those are representative of what's the local specie is." So nothing particularly complicated about it. Sonja's memories has plenty of recollections of coins in one kingdom stamped with the face of one ruler being completely worthless in neighboring ones after all.
