Synopsis: Cain meets M in late night Westchester.
Cast of Characters: Monet St. Croix, Cain Marko

Monet St. Croix has posed:
It's a quiet night in North Salem in the summer. Recent news with the so-called mutant 'vaccine' has put Monet over on edge. Which has on this late night walking about. She's wearing an outfit expensive even by the standards of Westchester and seems to be paying almost no attention to anything going around her as she makes her way along some of the side streets.

Cain Marko has posed:
Cain has been out of town on business. He hasn't heard a lot about the mutant vaccine. He's not a mutant himself, but he knows people who are. He's not feeling particularly anxious, but he's also unable to sleep. In a literal sense. So, this late he often wanders because he has nothing else better to do. He doesn't have to worry about muggers. Or much of anything else really. The few people he does run across tend to avoid him. After all, even out of costume he's still sevenish feet tall and built like a small building, with a brutish face. He doesn't look like he'd be the most approachable. He spots somebody ahead. Somebody that's familiar, vaguely. He thinks. Look, there are a lot of X-Folks. They all sort of blend together after a while.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would take a moment to look over at Cain and then identify him, going to cross her arms over while gazing at him. Up, up, and up at him. Few people could tower over anythign short of the Hulk - Juggernaut had by far the most impressive stature when it came to them. "Mister Marko." she would incline her head.
"If you're in town to wish your brother a happy birthday, you're a couple of days too late."

Cain Marko has posed:
The words confirm that he does indeed recognize them. "Oh hey. It's... you." The observation about his step-brothers birthday has him scratching his chin. "Is that so? I had no idea. Nah, not in town for that. S'not like we exactly hang out or anything. Amazing that he's still kicking around really." He didn't actively want his death these days, even if he also wasn't particularly fond of him or anything like that. "How's the cueball doing?"

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would nod, "Very well, Mister Marko." She goes to take his statement as fact. So long as Cain's not in the area to try and level the institute, then she doesn't have any particular reason to mind his presence. "He is doing well, physically and emotionally. He can walk again."

Cain Marko has posed:
That causes one of the mans brows to raise up. "Is that so? Hmm." He thinks about it. "...guess that's not surprising, considering how weird things have gotten in the last seventy or so years. One of you kids do it?" He folds his thick arms over his chest, studying the mutant girl curiously.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would shake her head, "I do not know the source of it. Nor is it my business. Merely that he is physically well, in good spirits, and mobile. I am not particularly close to him nor do I presume to be able to speak for him."

Cain Marko has posed:
Cain nods his head at that. "Fair enough. Well, tell him to break a leg from me." He unfolds his arms again, and starts forward. "And good luck with whatever bullshit you guys are going through at the moment." He didn't know any details. He just sort of assumed there would be something or other.

Monet St. Croix has posed:
Monet St. Croix would nod, "Of course. Eloquent as always, Mister Marko. I wish you a good day and hopefully a pleasant remainder of your time here in Westchester." she would give the Herald of Cyrrotakk a bow.
